I got the Italian and it was loaded, and I mean loaded with meat. The produce was fresh, and the bread was beyond fresh and delicious, I miss bread like this. Service was quick and efficient, the staff was very friendly, and that sandwich was well worth $11.00. I highly recommend if you're in the area it is well worth a stop in.

Fresh bread. The prov was well melted. The cherry peppers brought some acidity and spice. Mushrooms were better than I expected. A nice job. The onions rings were just OK. They were heavily battered and needed a bit more time for the right texture. 4 Stars

I've never eaten at Tony Luke's, but of course I've heard of them. I decided to go with the original cheesesteak, with cheez whiz, grilled onions, and broccoli rabe, for which there was a small upcharge. I really liked the sandwich. The meat was delicious, and there was plenty of it. The broccoli rabe was tender, but not mushy, and the onions were perfect. The bread was very good, and held up to the sandwich very well. I normally don't even like cheez, whiz, but I ordered it because that's what's in a traditional cheesesteak. I liked it. It played very well with the rest of the sandwich. The sandwich and a soda were very reasonably priced for what I got. I would love to try the original Tony's if I'm ever in South Philly. Thank you.
