This was delicious home cooked chicken - I had to wait a bit but I didn't mind because they seem to make every order from scratch. I had the mashed potatoes and cole slaw as sides. They also threw in some fries because of the wait and offered to deliver the whole thing when it was ready to my car. Great service, very friendly. No dining room or anything - everything is to go. My wife and I called in an order for 2 dinners . We asked the young man if they had pulley or keel pieces, which are breasts they can chop perpendicular to the breast bone , taking only the rounded tops of the breast . He had no idea what I was talking about . I asked to speak to the manager to ask him he also had no idea what I was taking about either . We ended up ordering 1 dinner with 1 breast and a thigh with a side of slaw and a hot sauce . The second order was 3 breasts 1slaw 1 hot sauce and French fries . We picked up our food and once home we had 3 hot sauces and one slaw and fries . The fries were uneatable , the most greasy soggy cold FF YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE. The chicken breasts were incredibly tough and tasted old not fresh. The breading was greasy soggy and tasted awful. I've had White House chicken before and it was way better. This was a big disappointment at 28$ we will not ever go back again . It's hit or miss with them so be careful!! After hearing about how good Whitehouse Chicken was based on the reviews on here, we decided to order it from Wadsworth for dinner. I got a white chicken breast meal with french fries, mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband got a dark leg meal with their "famous hot sauce" mashed potatoes & french fries. My daughter got a chicken tender meal with fries. Our chicken was very pink, so much so that I had to stick mine in the oven to cook it farther. Sorry, but under cooked meat grosses me out and can make a person sick. I am not going to eat half raw chicken! If that wasn't bad, after cooking it myself, which defeats the purpose of ordering out, the chicken was very under seasoned. Would it have killed the cook to sprinkle some seasoning on it!?! A little salt, pepper, garlic or seasoning salt would have helped. It tasted very blah and the batter was not good, odd in fact. While waiting for my chicken to cook, I was very hungry and at least had a huge box of greasy fries to eat. That was the only half positive thing, that there were tons of fries, but they were very greasy. The teeny tiny cups of green beans and mashed potatoes would have been better if the same portion compared to the fries, but I guess I can't expect much when it comes to a chicken place that serves half raw chicken. We won't be back. Wadsworth has very few good food choices so I thought we would try something different. Believe it or not, KFC is MUCH better and that isn't saying much. Too bad Wadsworth got rid of KFC. At least they cook their chicken all the way through! read more

If you know nothing of Barberton chicken you must know this "it is the chicken capital of the world" I live out of state and I have to get a chicken dinner every time that I come into town. So Iron chef Michael Symon visited this place so this joint must be seen. When I entered, it is not too busy. By the way, just a tip, call in your order because it takes 15 mins to cook your chicken which is good because you get it fresh not like KFC. The chicken was good and the best part is that you can order the back part of the chicken for only $0.59!!! Can't beat that. So I liked it because it is my favorite part. The store has been around for 60 yrsts already. That's a plus. The fries were a bit greasy but the green beans were good. My wife liked the mashed potatoes. This is a "Barberton Chicken" recipe restaurant famous in the Barberton area. My wife and I find the chicken average at best. I have had chicken out in Arkansas near Fayetteville, where they also have famous chicken places, and it blows this chicken out of the water. I much prefer KFC. read more

I have been going to the original Whitehouse Chicken, on Wooster Rd. in Barberton since I was very young. It was always the Sunday afternoon place to go for Chicken. It is extremely good and I find every time I try fried chicken I always use theirs as a standard. This particular location is just a call ahead and pick up location. The food is good but my only complaint is that by the time I get it home, the fries are a little soggy and it is just not the same fresh made taste as sitting in their restaurant. This is for the Medina store...the service is great but this is the worst chicken I have ever had. Too salty, too greasy, terrible greasy breading, only flavor is that of the oil..yuck! I got a rooster pack, which is twelve pieces of chicken and four sides...should be enough for a family....not!! I even asked the guy when I ordered, if that was popular choice for families and he said yes. While chicken was ok (not my favorite), the sides were tiny individualized sides...I mean tiny!
