Dr Oslay is in this last category. I went to see him 3-4 times with upper back/neck issues this past summer -- the last visit was about 4 months ago -- and just went back for the first time since then because I have a different issue. Dr Oslay is a proponent of getting to the root of the issue so that it can be resolved and has done a great job of that so far for me. The stretches he provided for me to do at home kept the last problem from recurring. He's what u would call traditionally untraditional in that he gets very traditional results, or maybe better than, by having continued to grow and expand how he approaches chiropractic medicine.

My knee was swollen, I was in pain, and I was unable to work because of the problem. During the call, I was told they would have to speak with the doctor because he probably would not see me since I had previously stated that I would not return. My previous experience with the office was frustrating. I had scheduled an appointment specifically because of my knee problem, but when I arrived, the doctor did not seem to know that I was there for my knee and told me he could not help me with it. I was already in pain, my knee was swollen, and I was unable to work, so it was extremely frustrating to take the time to come in and then find out that the reason for my appointment apparently had not been communicated. I also want to clarify that other appointments were canceled through no fault of my own. I was told that the doctor did not want to schedule anything further until I had my GI surgery or GI-related issue taken care of. That was something I was being asked to do and was not a cancellation on my part. After my frustrating experience, I expressed that I would not return because I felt there had been a lack of professionalism and communication. However, when I later called because I needed care for my knee, instead of trying to resolve the previous issue and help me, I was told they would have to talk to the doctor and that he probably would not see me because I had said I wouldn't return. I feel that when a patient is in pain, has a swollen knee, and is unable to work, the focus should be on addressing the medical problem and resolving any previous misunderstanding--not pushing the patient aside because of something they said out of frustration. This review reflects my personal experience and my concerns about the communication, professionalism, and handling of my care.
