There's a safe parking lot right out in front, someone gives clear directions on top of the easy to follow signs on entry, and it's a police station no reason to feel unsafe. As I write that I remember that Meadowlark Lemon's wife stabbed him in a police station, but he probably had that coming to him, he survived, found God, and that was New York City. Anyway, the open records department is here on the second floor. It looks a lot like the set of Barney Miller, but again, that was New York CIty and fictional. Although no one ran to the counter to help, I waited less than five minutes, my police report was found with the blink of an eye (well maybe a couple of blinks), and the print out was....75 cents. Yes, the fee for the report was $ 0.25 per page. My insurance (Acuity, they have been great) had already approved paying for the report fee, so I entertained myself by filing the receipt for $0.75 for reimbursement. I like the location, it's right next to a big (well a small in space but packed full of groceries) Southeast Asian grocer so I got a couple of things done with one short, pleasant trip.

I didn't think anything of it until the next morning when I realized I got a ticket! So I was obviously pretty upset because I thought I had bought a pass last night and thought nothing of it. Well come to find out I actually made the mistake of buying a pass for the same day instead of the following day. That was my error and I wanted to let the police department know that I did make an error but wanted to know if I could be let off on a warning instead? I spoke with Jackie who was very pleasant to speak with over the phone and after I told her my situation and providing my license plate number she understood my situation and voided out the ticket! I most certainly appreciate the understanding and truly appreciated the service our police department does for us!

I told all this to the deputy and left thinking everything would work out and the damage to my car might be covered by the person at fault, the one that hit me. I wait weeks for the report to come back, turns out the person behind me claims they were pushed into me and the report blames the 3rd vehicle Involved. If they had truly been pushed into me, I would not have been hit twice. The cop knew this, and it is listed in the report, yet I have no coverage for the damage done to my vehicle. The report also said there was no footage but they made me sit on the scene while they pulled camera footage of the crash. What's the truth? It should have been both the 2nd and 3rd cars at fault. I blame the deputy for the results on this report. Do better.

They have this game like exercise that they do. Called squat thrusts it looks like leap frog but the Bubba behind never gets over the top. Push ups are also interesting as they like to do them in pairs. I don't get it? The guards are not as friendly as they are not allowed to play. They get warmer clothing and thicker vests. They do enjoy keeping people in order. Our PD and detectives have shown interest in the area and they have increased patrols to areas that have recent crimes.
