In my son's words, "She is super chill, and I felt comfortable the entire time. She is fun, easy to talk to and she made the day fun." Rachel utilized fantastic angles of my son while also incorporating the landscape of downtown SLO that really brought every picture to life, and all of the final images were amazing! Her use of lighting, composition and her attention to detail were perfect. We absolutely love our son's pictures, and highly recommend Rachel Higgins to anyone looking for someone to capture truly exceptional photography.

Which is exactly what I was looking for in our wedding photos. Thank you for making us feel special and capturing these beautiful moments. Blake captured some awesome shots of my mother in law who despises pictures and is not shy about dodging the photographer, so he gets an A+ just for that! Thank you for your patience and working through our hiccups, which I'm sure no wedding is short of. Thank you so much for allowing us to incorporate Louie's car into our pictures which was a bit last minute but your team handled it so well and even made us look like models! The first thing she did was ask to see our 1985 wedding album. As we shared these old photos with her, I was struck by how many family members are no longer with us--but at the same time, how many new people, including the spouses of our children and our grandkids, have come into our lives since then. A truly great photographer understands how fleeting and precious these "spots of time" really are--how recording these rare celebratory moments when the generations are gathered together in one place can become such important markers in the history of a family. This was a new thought for me, but as Ginger worked her professional magic (coaxing a dubious sixteen-year-old into a spontaneous smile, turning what could have been a long hour of posing into a laughter-filled family memory), I could see that she totally understands the important nature of her work. Her professional skill and personal grace and unusual creative vision allow her to capture moments that will never happen again--in our case, five teenaged grandchildren hovering on the very cusp of adulthood, and two grandparents (us) who are still fully plugged into life but won't be for long. Ginger's family portrait is a gift we will cherish forever. Paula Huston
