I came here before my flight back home. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered a beer and chicken tenders. They did the job and I was happy. I'd go back if I was at midway!

It wasn't the staff's fault but the day we went it was super understaffed. It took nearly 45 mins to get our food and single drink but we had a 3 hour layover so it was fine. Food was pretty mid, nothing to write home about. Also pretty expensive for what it was but it was nice to have a place to sit and watch the games while we waited for our connection

Midway Airport has only a few spots where you can grab a drink and something to eat. This particular bar is the closest option near the A Concourse. I recommend sitting at the bar because the service is quick and it is a great place for a bite. If you have a layover, you can also catch clips of a game on the many screens around.

Let me just say, the price for the food served in this restaurant is a complete farce. What's described on their breakfast menu that's not pancakes are IMO frozen food heated up and served. For a family of 3 we paid almost $90 for subpar food. We wondered initially why there were so many empty seats; now we know why! This was my family and I first time visiting this establishment. It's definitely going to be our last. Lesson learned. Avoid this place for breakfast at all costs.

Incredibly mid. Mid service. Mid food. Nothing special about the ambiance. I hate when my server cannot provide a recommendation when I ask. Chicken sandwich was average, 3/5. Fries were a 2/5. Presentation needs work. Overall, there's probably somewhere better to try in Midway!

Terrible place in Midway. We waited for a seat, for 10 minutes then were told to find a seat. Then we were looked at by staff but not assisted by anyone. After 20 minutes we left and found somewhere else to eat. I would highly recommend to pass this place on your visit.

8 bite size pretzels and cheese and pickle and mustard, $14 dollars with tax. These establishments are crazy. Then the margarita that I ordered will prob be an arm and a leg

The grand slam breakfast very good for that early morning flight is so tasty and really a good amount of food. The grill is actually comfortable not overdone with memorabilia and a ton of TVs for your viewing pleasure. The staff was quick and friendly a plus for starting a long trip. They do serve drinks and coffee but it's 7am so guess what iam having? The price well it is a little pricey but you are at an airport so it's airport prices. Enjoy your day and travels.

Great bartender! He gave us his special drink Rum Punch and it really hit the spot! This is a decent place to grab lunch and a cocktail before your flight! We sat at the bar. Plenty of table seats were available as well though. :-)

Had a layover, so I stopped by here to kill some time. This place had a good amount of people, so I figured the food was good or the alcohol was quick. There seemed to only be two waiters, so I knew it would be a bit of a wait. For an airport restaurant, the food was great! My burger was juicy, and the fries were crispy. Both waiters stopped by to make sure we were good, and the booth had outlets (crucial during layovers). My ding here was the amount of time it took alcohol to come from the bar. While I know there were more people than usual, maybe allowing waiters to help with beer could help? Not a bad experience, overall.

This place is the perfect Oasis for the diehard Chicago White Sox game passing through Midway. The food is fantastic, the service is incredible, and the atmosphere is the best. You come in and wear something to show your loyalty Italy adds to the experience. Highly recommended if you are lucky to pass through Midway and have the time to swing by this place

Eating here reminded me of my lobotomy. Bad food, even worse staff. Save your money and go elsewhere

Sorry I do not recommend. I was stuck in the airport with a 5hr layover. I went here initially and was immediately told that there was no food service. It was 630pm. I didn't understand why that was, but there were signs saying "see the bar for service", but then the bartender would say, "the kitchen is closed." So I moved on and ate somewhere else. I did come back after eating somewhere else just for the bar service. After being here longer than 5mins I noticed the stench of spilled beer that hadn't been cleaned up. I was already at the bar and had ordered my cider beer with fireball. The bartender lady was "on it"... It just smelled bad, and they had no food. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't come here again.

We walked back out and found the door to the restaurant. Staff is warm and friendly and we were seated quickly. Our server was Robert and he was great! He gave his recommendations for which sides would go best with our meals and I felt they were spot on. They give complimentary bread and butter. It was warm and delicious. Hubby ordered the rib tips with fries, baked beans, and had the hot and mild barbecue sauce on the side. I ordered the 1/2 dark smoked chicken dinner with mac-n-cheese, spicy Cajun green beans, and spicy honey garlic barbecue sauce. I agree with Robert, that the sauce pairs very well with the chicken. The tips were tender and falling off the bone. He didn't care for the fries and loved the baked beans, even though they were a bit too spicy for him. My chicken was also very tender and I enjoyed the smokiness. The green beans had the right amount of spice although they were not as spicy as the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was creamy. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe next time. This is a great neighborhood staple and will definitely be back.

The lighting and décor felt festive without being overwhelming, and the space itself is huge. There's plenty of room whether you're dining with family, catching a game with friends, or just unwinding with drinks after a long day. Speaking of drinks, they're very reasonably priced--definitely worth opening a tab and relaxing for a while. For food, I tried Chuck's Wings with roasted vegetables and Cajun fries. Nothing is ever truly perfect, but these wings came close. The sauce was spot-on--easily some of the best I've had. The vegetables were cooked just right and packed with flavor, and the Cajun fries tied everything together perfectly. Overall, this spot delivers on both atmosphere and quality. Definitely worth checking out.

It may be the original location, or that honor may go to the yet unvisited-by-me third location closer to the Loop, but in any case, this Huck Finn definitely feels different from the one I'm used to. The lighting fixtures, booths, and art all have the same tacky early-2000s feel as the other location, but that's where the similarities end. This one is much smaller, although its dessert-case area has its own tables, and the outside of the building advertises ice cream. This Huck Finn feels like a coffee shop, which is probably why my dad says he likes it more than the "original"--original to us, at least. It has a counter, and while the building looks large from outside, it has about half the seating of Oak Lawn. There's a funky mirror near the bathrooms that makes it look like there's a back dining room--or possibly a Den of Iniquities like the original--but it's all an optical illusion. Service is quick and efficient, as it is at Oak Lawn. Our server, though, was a familiar no-nonsense throwback to an earlier time. Oak Lawn has some of those, but most of its servers are younger women with the thickest Chicago/Great Lakes accents you'll ever hear. (Seriously, although they're all under thirty-five, they sound like they're about to start collecting Social Security.) She was short on small talk, but she made up for it with sass and a whole lot of hard work. The food is good, although the menu is more limited than Oak Lawn's. One thing I don't like is that the menus are flimsy printouts. Oak Lawn at least has laminated pages, although I miss the old multi-page booklet-style menus. Oh well. They have Texas and Alaska donuts here, so it's a legit Huck Finn. It's physically possible to make a left turn onto Pulaski from their parking lot, but I think it's illegal, as you'd have to cross a quadruple yellow line. I spotted two cop cars near here, one when we were arriving, and one when we left, so be careful out there.

You can't park there or your car will be towed (see a picture of the parking lot with the sign below). I ended up parking my car at the much bigger parking lot across from the street. NO WIFI here either. The AC was functioning at the beginning so it felt comfortable, however it started to feel hot later so I didn't want to stay for any longer. I think this place is still worth stopping by during spring or fall when you're not driving because the food was good!
