I've placed several orders through them and MOST of their products are really good. Naturally, not everything is a hit. I left review for the products I loved as well as the ones I didn't like so much on their page, only to find out that they deleted any review that was less than 4 stars. Most places reach out and try and make it right, but not WOP. That's pretty shady and a huge disappointment. I reached out to see what was up, and never received a response. Five stars is just not enough. My girlfriend introduced me to White Oak last year and from that day forward I've ordered a large variety of ground beefs, pork, steaks and just this season a Turkey. I only purchased one other 80/20 product ground beef product, also grass fed, and I couldn't get through it. I also strongly recommend their eggs sold in orders of 4 dozen. It's worth every single penny and quite frankly I find their prices extremely reasonable. The majority of my cooking is done via sous vide which allows you to experience the full flavor of the meat and I'm not patronizing anyone when I write that nothing that I've EVER had has come close. (I cannot recommend sous vide strongly enough) Looking forward to, for the first time, making their Osso Bucco shanks. LOVE THIS PLACE! MY husband and I stayed in the pond house over the summer with our three daughter for our 10 year anniversary. It was great we enjoyed it. We also have ordered meat from here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The quality is good and the flavor is excellent. The family here is amazing. Everyone at White Oaks Pastures are so very pleasant and kind. I love the down home country atmosphere it has. Another thing my girls enjoyed on our getaway was the fishing and the canoeing and horseback riding. The White Oak Pastures Food Truck is located outside the White Oak Pastures General Store serving their homegrown 100% grass-fed beef and pastured non-GMO poultry. I ordered the Build Your Own Burger. The Burger consisted of 2 thin patties with an array of traditional toppings on a nice soft bun. The burger was delish. They are open for breakfast and dinner. There aren't enough stars on the rating scale to give to White Oak Pastures. This farm and the family that runs it are a model for how we should return to animal welfare, quality products, and customer service. From the very first time I tried their ground beef, I was sold. I cannot eat commodity beef any longer, no matter how good I'm told it is. Their meats are that good! After placing more orders from them, and having tried almost every cut of meat they offer, it without a doubt the best meat I've ever eaten. The price is very fair, and if you buy in bulk from them, it brings the price including shipping within range of economy. To the reviewer that mentioned the $15 cooler cost, the way to offset this is to return the eco-cooler to them and they will credit your account for as many coolers as you return to them, so next time you purchase from them, you are not billed. It costs very little to return ship them. They are always very generous with throwing in some freebies with the order, which also helps offset the costs. All in all, this is a first class operation that truly cares about their animals and their customers. Their artisan sausages are to die for. As long as it is possible for me, I will always order from the Harris family. I can say enough good about this entire operation from start to finish. Try them, you will not be sorry. read more

Although I still consider the beef from White Oak Pastures excellent and appreciate what great stewards of the land they are, unfortunately I'm in a position where I won't be able to order from them anymore. Their insulated boxes for shipping cost $15 each, which is a big expense for them, and they've been forced to pass this cost on to the customer. I understand completely that this is necessary from a business perspective, but for my family it increases the price of each order beyond what we can afford. I would definitely recommend White Oak Pastures to anyone who lives within driving distance. If I lived in north Florida, I'd make the trip there on a regular basis, for sure. read more

Off the beaten path, this rustic store/restaurant serves simple but high quality food. The meats and chicken are from their farm.

Nice place to get some small gifts based on their farm. After researching about the farming we decided to go check it out. Store was nice but was expecting a top grade restaurant and service. It's ok but was left underwhelmed. Plenty of help but you have to engage them. You pay for your meal ahead of time and wasn't told or given opportunity to add a tip. So after eating I had to hit the atm bc I took no cash. They give you a number after paying and hand you the drink you ordered to take to your table. you sit at a table of your choice. Ordered a burger and thought it would be a high end sandwich. Although it was grass fed meat, it was pretty plain, cold bagged bun. Had to ask for condiments. I've had the same at many ball games. So if your going, it's basically like a restaurant attached to a gas station, not a chef grade meal. Nothing wrong with it, just disappointed in what this place could be. read more

The restaurant at the General Store has great great food for breakfast lunch and dinner. The Lunch Special is served 6 days a week by the most wonderful woman and chef of authentic Southern Cuisine. I highly recommend this farm. My family loves exploring every part of this this farm. Being a mother of two small children I have started caring more about what they eat and what they are exposed to. When our family eats here the food they eat are eating healthy safe food. My two year old loves seeing all the animals and getting to ride the pony. When it comes to buying meat, I can be somewhat picky. I do believe in paying for quality, but it's truly gotta stick out, flavor wise, for me to fork over my hard earned gravy. I also believe in patronizing good people. In the case of White Oak Pastures , they lack the top quality to match their high price tags and very much miss the target when it comes to being run by pleasant folks. In NJ and PA Whole Foods, White Oak Pastures is the priciest brand name around, and it is admittedly a tasty beef. But when it regularly costs up to three dollars more per pound than all other brands, one can only think of the many local PA/NJ farms that offer a fresher product at a much more competitive price. Yes - they do exist, and if they're not yet available at Whole Foods, the local farmer's and Amish markets will offer you a local food that is far superior to anything shipped from Bluffton GA. And more importantly, you have the chance to buy the meats from good people. I had the chance to meet the owner and operator of White Oak, a gent named Will, that left a far worse taste in my mouth than anything available in Whole Foods. This man exuded pompousness - he had no time for folks asking about the high price (his response "well, I didn't travel here to be insulted!") , would very obviously throw dirty looks to folks of color or those who passed up on free samples, and berated the Whole Foods staff throughout his time there - making demands and threats if not accommodated immediately. Cut out the fat prices and fat headed management, and White Oak might be a worthwhile buy. Until then - stick to the local meats for the real deal. read more

Had a few problems with our order, first off we don't mind paying for great meat, if it's great meat.. The steaks were more tough than corn grain fed cows, we didn't know this though before we purchased our 1/2 of beef so that's our fault for not fully researching that but I believe that for the quality of the meat we received it wasn't worth what we paid. What really upset me the most is that we have two large dogs and I will go to Publix Supermarket and buy all the bone marrow bones they got in the case and I asked if they could include the marrow bones in our shipment and the lady said she would make sure we got them, Welp we never did get those and we paid for them!! That's probably what upset me the most. Your a big company and when you promise your customer a product then your customer should receive what you promised and what I paid for! I personally will NEVER buy meat from this farm it wasn't worth the price and they didn't send what they promised. read more

First of all, if you advertise your opening time as 11:00, when your customers get there at 11:40, you ought to have more than ONE of your menu items ready to serve. The only thing available was a burrito, which was OK, but not worth $9.00. The concept of the open-air kitchen is interesting, but lunch accompanied by the smell of cows**t is not the best. I haven't tried anything yet because my first order is coming in a couple days. But so far, customer service has been excellent. I live in northern California and we are able to get pastured, humanely-raised meat where I live, but they had things that I was unable to find locally right now. I was a little shocked when I used the "estimate freight" function but the freight on my order was literally about 25% of what was calculated, though I was willing to pay it. And they added a couple extra items to my order and didn't charge me extra freight. Once you try meat, dairy and eggs raised outside on pasture (grain-fed - ick), you'll see why it's a little more expensive and worlds healthier than from factory farms that abuse both their animals and their employees for profit. read more

If you care about health and animal welfare, this is the place! They really do it right from start to finish. Farming in a manner that produces healthy food and does not impose suffering on animals isn't cheap. I buy whatever humanely produced meat and animal products I can afford and eat vegan otherwise. I have thoroughly researched animal welfare issues in the USA, and truly, nobody does it better than White Oak Pastures. I also love that they allow visitors on the farm. There are gag laws that prevent people from photographing animal suffering at factory farms, and no factory farm will ever let you take a tour. Even most of our local farms won't let you take a tour (usually due to staffing issues, but transparency on this is critical for me). I have also experienced exceptional customer service from White Oaks, above and beyond expectations. Recently, I put in two separate orders on the website on different days and emailed asking them to combine them. They did and only charged me shipping for one order. The meat is different from grain fed. If you cook it line grain fed, it will be tough. Look for tips on cooking grass fed, and you won't have ever had better tasting meat. All around, phenomenal!! We ordered suet for use in English Christmas pudding...my Great Great Grandmother's recipe...which calls for ingredients that are just plain hard to find these days! While the packaging was an added expense, it was well done. We've been able to reuse our cooler for various chores around the house. The suet was great quality, nice and clean with no smell...exactly as true suet should be. We will order from White Oak Pastures again! read more

We have bought their vegetables and beef for the past couple years at the Columbus GA Saturday morning downtown market. They are excellent! We have formed a friendship with Tripp and Frank who make the trip to Columbus (80 miles) most Saturdays. Today, we went to White Oak Pastures farm itself to take a tour and have lunch there. The tour was wonderful ... I recommend it for anyone, especially families, children, scouts, etc. it is very interesting. We are lobbying our local "Fresh Market" to start selling White Oak products, but they seem to be hampered by a corporate policy. So they advertise "New Zealand Beef" ... how fresh can NZ beef be compared to beef obtained from a farm only 80 miles away? We are definitely going to go again when our son and his family come to visit. read more

White Oak Pastures Restaurant what a joke. Checked out their website and thought it would be a great place for dinner. After walking down a poorly lighted pathway, I entered through a screened door. I was neither greeted or offered a table when a voice called out "just sit anywhere". Finding a picnic table and attempting to crawl over the attached bench I was finally offered a menu and was asked for my drink request. Sweet tea, hard to mess up since it's a southern staple. I ordered a cheese tray with a sampling of artisan cheeses made at their facility for my appetizer. I was not at all disappointed. I would purchase from the in house market. Then came the main course. I ordered the filet of beef with roasted carrots and sautéed kale. The steak did have a great taste but was not cooked medium well as I could understand since it looked looked like a closed fist when presented to the table. No appearance to a steak at all. No bread or salaThe vegetables were good. I ordered the Hummingbird Cake for desert, great! Compliments to the baker! If you can get past the smell of the livestock don't expect southern hospitality or grass fed beef at its best. Best thing about this experience - the waiter. read more
