I started going through a divorce Summer of 2015 and contacted James P. White. My work place was very close to his office and that was the reason I approached him. It was plain luck to find an attorney with so much integrity, eager to resolve issues, common sense, and knowledge of the law. My case was a Move Away trial. This is a very significant problem as the outcome would affect the lives of my children and many people around them. James advised me that it will be a long process, which it was. He carefully evaluated my citation and told me that we have a chance but there are many unknowns that could affect the court decision. The opposing council was the exact opposite of James. She wanted to fight about everything and seemed to have no intentions on resolving any issues. The trial ended up being five half day court sessions long. James kept me sane and always gave me an intelligent and logical advice. He told me what we could do and what the possible outcomes would be. Dealing with none sense is very difficult and frustrating. Going to court with the opposing counsel was a nerve-racking experience. We never knew what kind of dirt she would through at us. James had to often respond to her allegations on the fly and I was amazed by his thought process and calm and clear responses. To give 5 stars I must be emotionally happy and the experience with the circumstances surrounding an attorney are never pleasant. That said, 4 stars is as good as it gets! Well, I was going through a legal separation with my ex, I had to find a lawyer and I found James White! Well let me tell you about James ... he is nothing like the stereotype lawyer! James is a skilled lawyer who got me everything I wanted in an agreement rather than dragging things to court. So even though he is not the stereotypical lawyer type, he is skilled and calmly and skillfully gets his clients taken care of. What makes James White such a wonderful lawyer in my opinion? Well, he is a person! He cares and builds a relationship with his clients. He gave me the time to explain what I wanted, he gave me the time to explain the legal jargon I had no idea what it meant. He understood that I was going through a difficult time and helped me as a person to get a smooth least stressful environment in his office. He put up with my young child playing with his books and his belongings at times, because he too is a father and knows that the best way to deal with it is to just make me feel comfortable. He always did not overcharge me, he advised me when things could be done in a more economical way as not to spend the little money I had on his service. I don't know if that doesn't make him honest and trustworthy, I am not sure what is. I trusted him immediately because he has this personality that makes you feel that you have someone to take care of you. During the agreement, I was willing to accept some things just to be done with the procedure and he advised me not to; he even told me that he insisted on adding a few things that would protect me. So here's my story I got married 2 weeks ago. Just a month before my wedding, my fiancé and I decided that we want to get a prenuptial agreement valid for the first years of our marriage.
