The phone was answered quickly and I talked to a real person. I was asked if I preferred a male or female doc. So important as so many women have been sexually violated and wouldn't feel comfortable exposing their body to a male. I was very impressed that Dr Bullach had accessed and read my electronic medical record and so was already familiar w my medical history. I arrived in the morning on a Sunday. There was no wait to get into an exam room and very short wait for the Doc.

We began going to GLMC from the Ann Arbor area in 2004. While we see both doctors and the nurse…read morepractitioner, Dr. Anzicek is our main doctor for all four members of my family. We love GLMC and find it well worth the drive for the care that we receive. We especially appreciate the time and thought that goes into our care. We have one child who has suffered significant health issues and the thoroughness of care has been a blessing. Dr. Anzicek truly listens and treats the whole patient and not just the symptoms. We also appreciate the extensive training of both Drs Leventer and Anzicek. Their knowledge of alternative practices alongside the MD and DO degrees is another reason we will keep coming back! We feel like they want to keep us healthy, not just fix problems should they arise. That's important to our family. We highly recommend this office if you are looking for care where you will be heard and receive through and thoughtful care.

My parents were clients of the medical center for many years (before their new building was built)…read moreand were reasonably happy for quite a long time up until about 2 years ago. At that point one of my parents asked us to change to a different Dr. because they felt they were doing nothing for them. Because of their age the family let it ride for another 6 months to a year and were more watchful. A different family member who is not a resident and has no legal standing with my parents, took the Dr. aside one day during an appointment that I did not attend and said something to the Dr. and from that point on they treated my one parent with great disrespect. I witnessed obvious sneering during 2 more appointments when my one parent was telling their observation of their mate since their last appointment and less than 6 months later at a different appointment there was frightful loud shouting at myself over their physical handling of the other parent. This parent has difficulty standing, but can stand, and they were physically hauling them around like a sack of wheat. I did quietly object asking them to give them more time and I was shouted at by staff, to which I did not respond and was appalled at such unprofessional behavior. One of the Dr's was in attendance during the incident and said nothing. Needless to say, very shortly after the shouting incident my parents have been attended by a different Dr. at a different office who is much more supportive of their wishes and has wonderful patience with them. The one parent who isn't as physically spry, is improving, physically and emotionally and has started back doing some of the things they have been passionate about for their entire lives. Anyone reading this - the Grass Lake Medical Center has a great deal of good things to offer - just be watchful and think about things. I'm sorry we had to leave, and under the circumstances it has been the best thing - my parents have not had any regrets with the change and I've noticed a lot less frustration within themselves as well as no groans when it is time to leave for their next appointment. They seem happy to go which is a nice change from the past.

When I went to see Dr. Zebda about my Autoimmune disease he did not weigh me, and when he came into my room he made assumptions about my diet and made me feel like crap about my weight. I brought up Health concerns that I have been dealing with and he told me that he was done helping me. He refused to run tests, get a new weight on me, and wouldn't let me get 2 words in. Seems like he had his mind made up before he even came in the room. I am young, so I don't know if that has something to do with it? but I was treated horribly and do not recommend him. Why rely on pain medicine when I can simply reduce the chronic stiffness that makes me so painful?…read moreI'd rather have a body that wants to get up and move, even if it means I have to do some work to get it. Having been through two decades of conventional physical therapy and a decade of Rolfing, I still had so much tightness in my joints that I wanted to do something other than start another round of conventional PT. I started out with a half hour mini session. I was taught three basic exercises. Even those three could take me far, but I wanted even more. What Eric does during the appointments is teach me the somatic exercises which I do on my own at home. These exercises are to be done gently and slowly. I find them so relaxing that I am yawning as I am doing them. Yoga *never* relaxed me that much! Eric also gives my elongation of muscles a boost during the one on one sessions by giving my limbs something to push against, guiding me into positions that are specific to my muscular issues. I have seen remarkable increases in mobility, and there still is room for improvement, so I am looking forward to feeling more mobile! I have significantly less muscle and joint pain, and perhaps that is also the reason my fatigue seems less. I'm sleeping better. In only a few weeks I have seen so much improvement that I'm going to stick with "Somatic" exercises, and give up on the antiquated idea of stretching muscles. ELONGATING muscles via pandiculation seems to be the way to go! Eric seems very dedicated to helping me. He's eager to cover as much as possible in each two hour session. He supplies me with a list of the exercises with photographs to help me remember how to do them at home. The nice thing is that I don't have to do everything perfectly. Actually, some variation in how the exercises are done from day to day is a good thing, in order to reach a slightly different area each time. I'm letting my body tell me when and how it wants to do the exercises and I think that's putting me back in touch with my inner pussy cat. You see, the pandiculation is how cats and other animals can stay so supple. I'm glad I found Eric and decided to give his ideas a try.

I highly recommend Eric Cooper to anyone I know that mentions they are experiencing muscle aches or…read morechronic pains. Eric has healing power and I don't mean that mystically (although that might be true too). What I mean is that he isn't like your average massage therapist that just rubs you head-to-toe the exact same as their last client. Eric is very good at listening to you, figuring out what ails you, studying your body to diagnose the source of the pain, then working through different techniques to put things right again. I have had two visits with Eric, each one on a different chronic pain issue. Before seeing him I saw several massage therapists and they all would rub me and I'd feel good in the moment but I'd leave and be back to where I started within a day or two later. Eric takes a much more caring approach toward your individual needs and delivered lasting results. I wasn't able to run without pain, some days even walk without pain, because of a bad ankle sprain and a chronic neurokinetic issue that arose from that. It was two years of thinking it was an injury that would never heal, dealing with it in ways that didn't really help, until I met Eric and after one session and following through with his advice and "homework", I was back to running within a couple weeks. I still am so grateful for his help and thankful that I met him. Eric is very friendly, comforting and caring. I met Eric at a social event and was rubbing my bad ankle (in a fashion recommended by a different therapist, it felt good to do but never really reduced the pain for longer than an hour at most). He saw me doing this and asked what was going on. His warmness and concern for essentially a stranger was very admirable. He talked to me for a bit and even did a little hands-on demonstration of some myofascial trigger point release for me right then and there. Not only did he help soothe my pain, he taught me how I could do it myself and why/how it's helpful. It's like that saying, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". Well, Eric not only helps you but he teaches you how to help you, which is far, far more valuable. Eric is very dedicated to learning effective therapy modalities and mastering his techniques. He has an enthusiasm and passion for continued learning to improve his skills through studying different therapy techniques. He is very scientifically minded in his understanding of the human body, especially the nervous system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, and the way they work together. His understanding of neurokinetics was extremely helpful for me and sets him above your typical massage therapist. He has traveled far and wide to study some of the best, research-proven therapies to be able to provide the best therapy possible. His constant pursuit for learning is impressive and each time I have seen him he was enthusiastic to share his new knowledge with me, which I really appreciate and look forward to each time. Eric is great at communicating and educating. To start, he's a good listener and will take time to understand your individual pains, concerns, needs and questions. During the session he is like a detective, working through different techniques to relax tight muscles and identify the source of pains or imbalances. He is always patient and receptive to questions along the way as well. At the end of the session he gives a review of the tips he shared through the session for "homework" for yourself to improve and take better care of yourself. He provides photos of the results as well as pictures of the important muscles to focus on along with the activities/stretches you can do at home. Eric is passionate about helping people. Each time I've seen him he strikes me as someone who truly cares about his patients. He remembers our previous sessions and my previous injuries and really does care to help provide long-lasting results through his therapy. After each session I get an email from him checking up on my progress. His passion and care really make a difference. I couldn't recommend anyone more than Eric Cooper!
