I hired Robert Temmerman as my father's estate attorney and co-trustee's counsel, and my experience…read moreleft me deeply concerned about how he handled an elderly, mentally vulnerable client. My father's mental capacity was in question at the time these agreements were signed. Temmerman was aware of this. He told my father's co-trustee that even if it were later found that my father lacked capacity, it "wouldn't be a problem" and he would "work around it." He then picked my father up and brought him to a meeting that had officially been cancelled, and asked him, out of context, in a way clearly meant to get a yes, whether he wanted to make amends with his son. Unsurprisingly, my father said yes, and that answer was used to justify decisions and agreements that I don't believe reflected his actual wishes or state of mind. I was left with roughly $100,000 in billing I considered unjustifiable. When I refused to pay, interest was allowed to accumulate and was eventually tied to an unmortgaged house, which was then liened. I believe there was a legitimate malpractice claim here, and I looked into filing one. But my strong impression, after dealing with him, was that he had deep, longstanding ties within the Bay Area legal community, the kind of old boys' network relationships that made it feel like anything brought against him would be an uphill, if not futile, fight. That perception alone was enough to make me walk away from pursuing it further. If you have an aging parent, or are a fiduciary considering hiring this attorney, I suggest you look further and find someone ethical.

This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with a law firm…read more After paying a retainer, the attorney I hired did essentially nothing on my case. For over 40 days, I repeatedly asked for updates and received little to no communication. There was no transparency about any communication with opposing counsel, despite the time that had passed. To make matters worse, I was told by the legal assistant, Lianna Martinez, I would only receive a partial refund, even though no meaningful work had been completed. Being charged for a lack of service and zero communication is unacceptable. This experience showed a complete lack of accountability, organization, and respect for clients. I would strongly caution anyone considering this firm to think twice and look elsewhere.

I don't even know where to begin because words can't fully capture how grateful I am for Lou Limon…read moreand his team. This was my first time hiring a lawyer, and I wish I had known about Lou the first time I had gone to court. I was in court for a custody case involving my kids--a situation that like any mother would feel, brought me overwhelming anxiety and fear. From the very beginning, Lou and his team were there for me, guiding me through every step with unwavering support, kindness, and expertise. Every question I had was answered almost immediately. Every document was carefully prepared and filed on time. Lou explained parts of the court process that I would have never understood without him. He didn't just represent me--he gave me the knowledge about the court system and the confidence I desperately needed. In between hearings, Lou and his associate Devin checked in regularly, offering thoughtful advice that gave me hope and a clear direction. Lou's calm, steady presence during court helped me stay grounded in moments when I needed it. Thanks to Lou's determination and relentless dedication, I got the outcome I had prayed for. He fought for me and my kids like it was personal, and I'll never forget what he did for my family. If you're looking for an attorney who truly cares, who will fight for you with everything he has, and who treats you like a person--not just a case--Lou is the guy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Lou the and team. I will forever be grateful.

This review is long overdue. I had a different lawyer for the first part of my court proceedings,…read morebut I had hired Lou as my attorney back in 2019 after reading some of the positive reviews. For context, have 2 children with my ex, and I make significantly more than him. He took me to court in attempt to have an establish custody agreement. I had spent countless hours with Lou and his team, but I always felt unprepared going into court. Lou never seemed to know what he was doing, and he would never give me an update on my case. There were times he would call me while I was at work, and I would be unable to answer. He would leave a minute long message that would in turn cost me about $100-$150. I did not dispute those charges, but what really got to me was when I was charged for asking a question about a billings charge through email. He got upset and told me that answering a quick email about billings is taking time away from his other cases so he needed to charge me $140 for that! I was absolutely appalled. He was rude with no sympathy after I was already financially and emotionally drained. I ended up coming to an agreement with my ex outside of our lawyers' help because I just wanted everything to be over with so our kids could have better stability. At the time, Lou implied that I was going to lose so I agreed to most of the terms their father wanted, which I deeply regret today. We have 50/50 joint legal and physical custody, but I pay him $1000/month and pay for all extra curricular and health care. I even agreed to their father's school district and all pickups/drop offs at his grandfather's house. Those stipulations have made my life and my children's lives so difficult. Lou has scarred me to the point I am afraid to go back to court to revise our agreement. Please feel free to reach out if you have more questions. Please save your money and do not go with Lou!
