The staff like talking to each other and sitting through the back ignoring the bell! They also often leave stock in the aisles making it a bit of an obstacle course to try to get to the counters. The shop sells everything from wine to bread and has a cashline machine at the front door. It also has a lottery machine.

Heilan Coos!!!!!! I had never heard of these animals before going to Scotland. Seeing these…read morebeautiful beasts in person was on my Wife's bucket list. So of course, I had to make it happen! We stopped by the Robertsons Children's Farm and the Larder when we were in Scotland last July. This small farm had two Heilan Coos living there. They allow folks to get up close in order to take photos and check out these unique shaggy Highland Cows. Don't find many of these cattle in the States. This stop at Robertsons was super fun! Less than hour time was spent here, but it was well worth it! Took many photos of the Highland Cows and the alpacas. Do not miss their gift shop. Lots of snacks and souvenirs available at affordable prices. Bought us a basket of some delicious farm fresh strawberries!! Truly enjoyed our time here. Check out Robertsons when you are in this part of the United Kingdom. You won't be disappointed!

I tried the carrots which were labelled Organic but which is what I go for .. even better, they claim that the veg is completely free of pesticides or any residues which means no nasty chemicals. The farms are in the Highlands of Scotland so presumably that's how they manage to avoid any pollution etc. Anyway, the carrots were crunchy and tasted fresher or more "carrotty" than the usual ones. I made juice with them and its great too - nice and sweet. I know this is a bit of a rave review, but as Bare Necessities carrots were only a little more expensive its deffo worth getting them.

The best thing however about the shop is it is a paypoint, which you can buy meter tokens/ load the meter key or pay your rent here. I have used this little shop many times when my meter has gone out, its great for those elderly persons who don't want to travel far, they can go in and get the bare essentials needed.
