We go to great bars in Houston every weekend and 101 really stands up! The front door guy was friendly. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. Great drink specials and regular prices. The dance floor was a little small but excellent. The DJ was super friendly and played multiple requests very quickly. The crowd was very very young but friendly and polite!!! We're old LOL. We have a little different dancing style but everyone on the floor was courteous. OK the bathrooms could use a little attention. Non smoking was a pleasant surprise. Horrible service from start to finish. The food was cold, the drink took. 10+ minutes to arrive, and the staff was overall very...cold. The bouncers at the door were very rude, and even though my party was clearly 30+ (work party) they still made a big deal out of verifying IDs and asking a lot of questions. But hey, certainly the easiest and polities way of letting people know the kind of crowd they're looking for. Though, I'm a professional who likes to be very relaxed when I'm not working. Decent club, their ID system is terrible. I waited 2 hours in line after we left to get my gf's ID back. Moreover, they make you pay every time you enter the building despite stamping your wrist. The bartender gave me a different drink than I asked for because the music is too loud to hear anything. Prom 101 instead of Whiskey 101! If you are wanting somewhere to drink and do a little 2 stepping this isn't the place! Everyone hangs out on the dance floor so there is no room to dance! line dancing is out of the question because they have no clue how to form a line! Honestly didn't look like a bad club. Hated the atmosphere it was definitely a college town bar. No one had any consideration for anyone. Very little in uniform security. Another reason I'm giving it a single star is the fact they keep ur ID at the door if you are under 21. I'm not sure the reasoning but I've been going to bars and clubs since I turned 18 and haven't once ran in to this. When I went to leave I had to turn around and wait in line just to get my ID back. Needless to say I won't be going back. I don't suggest going unless your whole idea is to get drunk and that's it. read more

I'm honestly not sure where all the negative reviews come from. I've been going since I was 18 and I've always had a great time. If you are over 21 you get in for free till 9 Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Thursday is college night so there's a cover charge. Drinks are inexpensive. All the bouncers I've met are really nice. Formerly named The Electric Cowboy, this is a great place for an affordable drink, shooting pool (multiple tables), and dancing. If you are into line dancing, this is definitely a place to go. Good beer selection and lower prices than Dickson Street venues. Laid back crowd, all ages. Music not too loud, good mix of country and dance hits. Evenings only, I think they open at 7, closed Tuesdays. read more

I will never go back to this place in my entire life. I was of legal age to go to this club (19) and once I walked in, they took my government issued ID. When I wanted to leave, they made me stand in a 45 minute line to get my drivers license back. I will never in my life go back to this place again. Everyone there working was so rude. When I went to get my ID back, the bouncer told me to get in the back of the line (45 min long). This place is not worth anyone's time. As a local, there are so many different other places for people to visit than this low grade "night club". I will not be returning as any of my friends will not be either. This is by far the worst bar I have ever been to. The RUDEST staff I have ever experienced... they treat their customers with absolutely zero respect. They also keep your ID if you are under 21 which sucks. They played awful music and the atmosphere is terrible. I will never be going back. When I went to this club on a Sunday night, there was ONE couple on the dance floor all night. The girl was very drunk. People with working thinking ability could tell the music selection was not intended for dancing. The DJ was playing someone else's YouTube mashup of mediocre Country, Hip Hop, and EDM. I would give 0 stars if I could. I used to love coming here. Fun place to dance and hangout. They take your ID if you're under 21, not a big deal. You get it back when you leave. However, the current system to get it back is nonexistent. You have to go to the back of the entry line. Wait as they let people in to make it to the front to get your ID back. Again, this wouldn't be a big deal, until people have to wait 2.5+ hours JUST TO GET THEIR ID. There was a bouncer that continuously walked around the line complaining about how long it was. He didn't do anything else, except belittle me when I asked if he couldn't work his way down the line giving back IDs. I was polite, and I understand the context; but being sarcastic and rude to a customer who politely asks for clarification is not great. I understand that with COVID-19 it's more difficult on everyone, but this was simply ridiculous. I will probably never be going back. read more

this bar seems like a sweet little country place to get drinks, however, right when i walked in the bouncers stared me up and down a few times due to my height and made an assumption already about me. they interrogated me on my real id and laughed at me after i answered my own information. i do not recommend this bar if you do not fit their "criteria" on how someone of age looks. read more

Bouncers are absolute creeps and so horribly rude. If I'm paying a ridiculous cover the service should at least be good. Inappropriate constantly, should be reported to the authorities. Males AND females. Drinks are terrible--who can mess up a whiskey sour? Somehow this place manages. Totally typical of Fayetteville clubs. No competition so low quality is accepted.
