I was in the area, getting a few things for free for my birthday month, so this was the second stop I made during my lunch break. The place wasn't packed, but there was a line with about 3-4 people waiting to place their orders. If you join the mailing list, you get a free 7" sub (the smallest kind) during your birthday month--you just tell them your phone number. After some deliberation, I finally decided on a chicken pesto coldwich, with wheat bread and cheddar cheese. The first Which Wich I went to was in Greenville, and I think the concept is really very cute. It's a quick service sandwich shop that is leaps and bounds better than Subway, but not as fresh as Publix, and not as delicious as Firehouse. Nonetheless, the sandwiches are good, and they give you a good amount of control over the ingredients. You fill out what you want on the provided brown paper sandwich bags, hand it to the cashier, and then you get your sandwich made to your specifications. These include 2 types of bread, choice of making it a skinny sandwich, bowlwich, or lettucewich. Then there are 8 types of cheese, 14 types of dressings (from buffalo sauce to different kinds of mayos or mustards), 17 types of veggies (yes, you can check multiples of these), and 5 types of spices. You can even see the people prepping them behind the counter, so I liked that they had that kind of transparency. Since there were several people ahead of me, it did take a little while to get the sandwich, but you know, can one really complain too much when you are getting a free meal? PROS: -Free 7" sub during your birthday month when you sign up for the email newsletter. -You can order ahead of time and pick up when you get there. -Sandwich taste was pretty good, and the choice of ingredients is fairly expansive. -A good amount of outdoor seating. CONS: -Relatively slow service with about 3-4 people ahead of me, so be prepared to wait if there are more ahead of you. -The bread ended up being soggy by the time I ate the sandwich, though I'm not really sure from what since I didn't get anything too saucy on it. I haven't experienced pesto getting a sandwich soggy in the past, but maybe that's what it was? -Parking is kind of weird here, and the spots closer to this building can fill up very quickly. THE VERDICT: Pretty good sandwich, with a ton of choices offered--there is something for any kind of taste here. I wouldn't say the ingredients are the freshest I've tried (I'm looking at you, Publix) but they are fairly good, and this sandwich place is definitely worth a visit (or at least a once-a-year visit when they send you an offer for a free birthday sub!) read more

Okay so the sandwich is decent and the shake is good hence the three stars. The people who work here really irritated me and deserve a single star. First we r in line with one register open and person is taking a real long time to check them out. So they finally open another register and instead of telling us we can move to it they tell the person behind us. Then after checking the one person out they close the register down again. Meanwhile I'm still waiting. So we finally order and it isn't overly crowded. They have a huge crew making sandwiches even though for the most part they r sitting around. There are about eight tables but everyone is really dirty. I wipe a table down with a dry napkin. The lady who got to go ahead of me asked for them to clean her table. So I'm thinking oh good she will clean hers than clean some others and maybe ours but no she cleans hers than goes back behind the counter. Amazing weird oblivious attitude of the owner and employees. Note even though only three more people came in behind us after ordering they never came out to clean tables. Interesting concept. You pick a sandwich by choosing they type from a pre-printed selection of bags. I chose Italian and selected topping and condiment choices, double meat & cheese, bread type - I got the white "skinny" wich with less bread - and got chips & a drink. A bit pricy at $12.46 for a sandwich and it took 15 minutes to get my food. It was pretty good though. Fresh bread, quality meat & cheese, right amount of topping-to-meat ratio. We had couple of good experiences before. Hence when we had a last-minute family get-together I recommended this place. We reached around 8:45 PM (it was closing at 9). Before ordering around 10 sandwiches, we asked the lady who was serving at that time, if she was ok to make that many sandwiches at that time. She said yes. But it went downhill thereafter. The responses were very curt and no wishes/greetings when everything was done. Later when we got home, we found that the orders were messed up. Not a good experience at all. We have been to this place many times and never had any problems. Today my husband and I went for dinner and my sandwich was made very sloppy and had way too much mayonnaise on it. The bread wasn't fresh so it made the sandwich not appetizing. This was a disappointing experience for us. Also, you can tell the manager was not there because of how poorly the sandwich was made. The floors, tables and chairs were also dirty. If I saw her, I would of complained. I hope this place doesn't go down hill because they really do have good sandwiches, but not today. read more

I have eaten at WW in other cities and this location is the closest to me, but not real close. And i enjoy the ordering process... So i went here hoping for the same experience i had in texas... and while the food was good, not great, but definately good. I had to wait a very long time to get my sandwhich. There were a total of 5 or 6 people in the shop before me when i placed my order. I went and sat down and it was a very long 14-18 minutes later by the time i received my sandwhich. People who ordered 3-5 minutes after me received their orders before i did and i had 1 cold sub. Just too long. Now, again the food was good and i really enjoy the amount of meat you get with these sandwhiches. I got the medium size sub (basically a foot long) and it came to $12. A little pricey. I did enjoy the sandwhich, but i don't know if it stood out enough for me to pay that amount and wait that long. Next time i will definately do the smaller size and reduce the price a bit. Stopped here for dinner today and MAN, was I disappointed in this location! I usually visit the Howell Mill WW, and their food is always fresh. I was REALLY hungry, which I'm usually not, and wanted a GOOD sandwich, so I got the chicken club with swiss and a bag of chips, which came out to $8 - slightly more than chick-fil-a charges for a FULL MEAL. I ordered my sandwich to go, and when I got home, I was INCREDIBLY irritated at how these people charged me $8 for bread, dry lettuce, a piece of cheese, and a sprinkle of deli chicken. This was definitely not something I wanted to eat when I KNEW I could've gotten something better. Since it was toasted, the sandwich did not TASTE bad, but it was far from fulfilling. There's definitely something wrong whenever you find yourself filling up with a bag of chips. Not good! I've definitely had MUCH worse toasted "sandwiches" (La Madeleine), so for what it WAS, I decided to give them two stars. Service was also decent, and they give you sauces without complaints, so that was another plus. Food is ok. My only issue is the kids meal are too restrictive and not meant for kids that like veggies (they do exist). They can only get meat and cheese. I have to get a full size meal for a 5/6 yr old in order for them to get onions, tomatoes, etc. Its a waste of money and food because I end of throwing most away. Had not been to Which Wich for sometime so they emailed me a coupon for $3.00 off my next visit. Went today to get a sandwich and use my coupon, (which I brought up on my email) and the owner insisted on a phone number. I gave him several phone numbers and he said he could not pull it up. I explained that I had the email on my phone but that was not good enough for him. Would you believe he would not give me the lousy $3.00 off. I've passed by several times and I've eaten at one in DC that was pretty good. So I thought I would stop in. They have the Worst chicken salad sandwich ever. It's all mayo and processed chicken chunks. Not even sure it was real chicken. I got chips, coke and small sandwich and it cost $9.01. Terrible customer service, I worked there for 6 months, never late and never received a raise. The owner are unsanitary and do not wear gloves to prep items in the morning, they have a fly and roach problem. They care more about profit than their customers. Prime example egg salad is only good for 3 days the owner noticed it hasn't been touched but it was expired so rather than throwing it away he changed the date and serviced it. Another example is when I coworker dropped a tub of hummus on the floor rather than throwing it away the owner demanded him to scrape it up off the floor and to still serve it. I hate being negative about places but I am still stunned at how dirty this location was. The food was good and the concept great but there was food all over the floor, tables were dirty, trash on the floor as well as outside. The bathrooms were appalling as the toilet brush was thrown on the floor with wads of toilet paper and the grime was extremely thick. Overall if a health inspector walked in I think the rating would have been dropped to a B for sure. I can understand during busy times getting a touch behind but not when there are only four people in the entire restaurant. It made me wonder how sanitary the food was going to be.
