A fairly large WHSmith store in Churchill Square Shopping Centre, Brighton. It is over two floors, with no lift or escalator connecting those floors, so if you don't fancy the stairs you'd have to use the lift just outside the mall entrance, or go in and out of the shopping centre and use the Western Road entrance, which is by far the nicest entrance, it stands out more, is all glass, much more modern than the entire store (Similar to JD which is two stores away)
This store is pretty large for WHSmith standards, it has a decent selection of most items including books and newspapers, the stationary section is much larger than other stores which are down to the fact it has a small Post Office inside, so this is what you'd expect. Housing the only Post Office I found in the city centre of Brighton is also a bonus for the store.
They did have a small selection of greetings cards and beverages too.
The store didn't have as big of a technology section as other stores such as Meadowhall Sheffield, and could have felt much more modern at times, it seems to be a more traditional WHSmith store, compared to my local branch Manchester - Market Street, which might be smaller but feels nicer and much more modern.
A decent store, especially the Western Road side, and pretty large by WHSmith standards, not having a lift/escalator in-between the store is a bit of a letdown, especially for someone who like me is lazy and doesn't want the journey between two floors of the same store to take that much longer.
3* - Large store with some modern features and a satisfactory selection, including a Post Office in a useful location, despite having many things which let it down including that they allow pushy salesman at the front of the store, who harass you and approach you when you are just trying to come into the store, which is not okay! read more
