Eric and his team stayed in contact with me regularly regarding the status of my case and just to check up on me. I didn't even think that we got hit that hard but I quickly learned it's not how hard it's how you get hit. I ended up having to go through many scans, many braces, multiple specialists, and losing many hours of work for my dominant wrist. This amazing man met with me once, emailed me regularly, and took care of it all without me losing any time for court. I never had to stress about a thing! He got my medical bills covered, my lost wages covered and extra to get me out of debt. His compensation was so much less than I ever thought or have experienced before with previous lawyers! He was amazing at calming me down and taking care of everything. I will never use any other attorney.... Eric Bartlett is my attorney for good and if you need one he's the man to call!!!

I found this attorney through a federal employee resource website that claimed to offer discounted…read moreservices for government workers. Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Pietz has been devastating. From the very beginning, he showed little effort or compassion in representing me. He refused to include critical personal evidence and firsthand experiences that could have supported my case. He was aware that the government was going through reductions in force, and now, during this shutdown, I've been left struggling to pay my balance. I explained clearly that without an approved budget, we lose overtime -- yet instead of understanding, I was met with threats when I couldn't pay immediately after court. I'm a single, hardworking mother with no living family, having just bought my first home nine months ago. I'm trying to refinance and take out an equity loan, so I can't even open a credit card right now. I recently went through an incredibly traumatic and unjust custody case, filled with false accusations and parental alienation. Despite being the stable parent, the court ruled against me, and I'm now ordered to pay child support for the child my ex kept from me -- something I simply cannot afford right now. On top of that, I've faced major unexpected expenses: an emergency root canal and crown, a broken window repair, and now car repairs -- all of which I've provided proof for. I even communicated my hardship to his assistant, who assured me that they understood. Yet when I reminded Mr. Pietz of that conversation, he denied it entirely. And now, despite everything, he's suing me -- during a government shutdown, when federal workers are struggling just to get by. So much for supporting the very people this firm claims to stand behind. I've never felt so dismissed or unsupported in my life. I cannot in good conscience recommend this law firm to anyone, especially to other federal employees who deserve real advocacy, not added hardship.

I should start off by saying this review is long overdue as my experience with Davis | Pingel law…read morefirm was far better than I could have expected. I recently hired Attorney Mandy Pingel and staff to represent me in my Divorce case and her dedication to providing excellent customer service and going above and beyond to communicate with me through every step of my case made everything far more manageable. I should also mention that the legal fees were far less than expected and I never felt that I was being taken advantage of financially. I was only charged for the actual time that each service took to complete and small fees were regularly waived. My case was complicated by the fact that I am serving in the Military and stationed out of state in North Carolina resulting in a significant time and distance barrier. While researching Law Firms in Kansas City, MO during late in 2018 Davis | Pingel stood out to me because of the online reviews from Service members that had good experiences working with the Law firm while stationed out of State. I contacted the law firm to set up a free consultation while visiting family in KC over the holidays and met with Attorney Mandy Pingel. She immediately made me feel at ease by answering all my questions and assuring me that she would be able to handle my case given the challenges of cross-state communication. Having never been involved in a legal dispute such as this, I didn't know what to expect and felt overwhelmed, but was relieved to feel that Attorney Pingel had my best interests in mind. Once I enlisted the services of Attorney Pingel she quickly started the process in filing for my divorce and kept me informed each step of the way. What I was most impressed with throughout the process was how seamless communication was. Every time I had an issue or concern Attorney PIngel would address it as soon as possible despite her busy schedule. I could contact her after hours or during weekends and always received a timely response. There were several obstacles that I encountered over the course of the divorce process due to my ex-wife's efforts to delay the court hearings in order to continue receiving military mandated spousal support. However, Attorney Pingel was there every step of the way to provide sound legal advice. The biggest challenge to my case was that I received deployment orders and required a court date prior to my deployment date which was late in 2019. I had a very narrow window in which I could make a court appearance in Missouri due to training and other service-related obligations. Attorney Pingel went out of her way and ensured that I had a court date that I was able to make. Furthermore, she was able to close out the case and finalize my divorce with only one court appearance. I was spared very significant financial burdens and an incredible amount of personal stress due to the efforts of Attorney Pingel. Whether you are living in KC or are a resident serving in the Military out of state I could not give a higher recommendation than I give to Attorney Mandy Pingel. She understands and respects the challenges to all family law matters as well as the unique challenges that service member encounter. Additionally, I need to mention that her support staff, namely Paralegal Tsion Mehari, went above and beyond throughout all phases of my case. Paralegal Mehari worked over her weekend to ensure that court documents were completed for my hearing and answered all questions that I had through the process.

They didn't remember anything about me after my consultation. I had to call multiple times. Just a waste of time and money. I'm shocked at the lack of professionalism or interest in following through with the basic things. Three weeks after I signed a contract and paid the retainer, literally nothing had been done, not even a list of steps. When I asked for a meeting, an hour before the meeting, a list of steps appeared that did not go along with the details of my case. When I met with my lawyer, she wanted to defend herself instead of figuring out how to move forward. She seemed annoyed that I bringing it up, even though this is a domestic violence case that will escalate as soon as something is filed. I would not recommend this place.
