This cafe is the only place we could find to get a meal in Malta. It has old reviews that are terrible so i want to update for future patrons. It was really pretty good. We had bacon and eggs with hashbrowns and toast. The portions were generous and the bacon was smoky and thickly sliced. The waitress was very nice and kept our coffee cups full. Service was timely, minimum wait for our meals. So everything has turned around and people should not avoid this cafe based on 3 year old bad reviews. I think they deserve a try. read more

We stopped in for lunch on our way to a funeral. After driving for 5 hours we were hungry. It took forever to get water and menus, forever again to order. Locals came in and were immediately served. After 45 minutes they had not even begun to prepare our meal. We got up and left. No apology just we're busy. Not a very good atmosphere. Cups were all chipped on top and they didn't offer straws. Maybe it was a blessing we didn't get served. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE. Stopped for breakfast. Waitress gave water & menus, got order for coffee and left, never to be seen again. Waited about 8 minutes and went to where she and another were standing talking and asked, "were we getting that coffee today:" Needless to say, we barely survived an extremely hostile attitude. Ordered, ate & left in a hurry, never to return. Better to go somplace else when in Malta, methinks. read more

Horrible experience. The waitress was rude. It took her forever to take our order. Once our order was taken, it took another 10 minutes to receive our drinks and another 30 minutes to get our food. The menu isn't that great either. Don't go here if you want decent service or are in a hurry. read more

Save your money go anywhere else! Party of eight of us had to wait FOREVER to get water and menus. Food was soso. No refills on soft drinks, or water for that matter. There was an AWEFUL sewer smell filling the entire restaurant. Waitress feels because she is the owners daughter there is no need to work or be pleasant to customers. I base my tips on how attentive the waitress is. Lets just say she did not recieve a dime. You would have to starve me for weeks and DRAG me back to get me in West Side Cafe again! read more
