The PHP and IOP outpatient programs are outstanding. This facility and it's staff demonstrate professionalism and are compassionate and caring about the clients here. I attended PHP and IOP - and cannot say enough positive things about these outpatient programs and the therapists and nursing care I received. I was fortunate to be in Cassie's group and was truly amazed at what I learned from her in group. She recognizes and hears what clients say- this is clearly evident by the topics of discussion that she teaches. I felt like she heard me when I spoke and in turn addressed topics which were of concern to me. Cassie recognized my struggles and made suggestions - and I'm taking them seriously. I want to be okay!!!! I would recommend the outpatient programs and care to anyone struggling with addiction and/or psychological issues. This place has helped me to save my life! I'll just mention quickly - I read some of the other reviews and strongly disagree with them. be careful of staff thefts in my last hospitalization to my son in January 2026, they did not give my son any of the clothes I brought for him, he stayed in same clothes he get in 15 days back and they just hide and took the 7 changes and the boat I brought during two visits. they just hide them for themselves as most of the clothes was new and good quality and brands! in his first visit in 2023, per my son the staff stole $300 from his becket while they were cleaning the room. However, Dr. Tawfik was good but the staff was disaster No one knows what treatment given to each individules, even teh medical report was not clear in this regad. My son left out and we were not able to get confirmation if they ever gave him a specific shot although my son signed authorization form for me. read more

Back a couple years ago I brought my daughter in who was going through what felt like a crisis. When I brought her in for evaluation I immediately was given a dark vibe. Later for the evaluation the man interviewing asked to speak to her alone without me in the room. My daughter tole me he basically tricked her into certain things in order to check off a box to admit her. When I came back in the room the interviewer was extremely aggressive and hostile towards me and my daughter, trying to shove me out and take my daughter back immediately. He came off extremely scary, and at this point was not comfortable with my daughters stay here. I made the decision not to admit her in fear of subjecting her to more trauma, they filed CPS investigation against me for not admitting her. I have a masters and have worked as a counselor for almost 20 years, and never seen a place handle mental health so wrong in my life. DO NOT ADMIT your children or teens here for safety. read more

Parents, if you want care for your teen, please avoid this place at all costs. I am writing this review from the lobby of the discharge room waiting for my 14 year old to get out. This place does not update you about your child but once a week and any voicemails you may leave go unanswered. My husband came by last Friday to try to get answers since we couldn't get anyone to call us back and they had him waiting in the lobby for four hours only to be told the therapist had already left for the day. FOUR HOURS. This place does does give one f*ck about your concerns. There is a serious communication issue, even internally. I spoke with Adriana Ellis this morning at 10a when she gave me the ok for my child to be released today. She asked me what time I would be here by so that they can prepare the paperwork and it be ready by the time I arrived. I got here an hour after the time I initially told them I would be here by. While waiting in the discharge lobby, I received a call to discuss my child's discharge date of tomorrow. When I explained Adriana Ellis authorized her discharge for today, she said she was unaware and needed 40 mins to prepare the paperwork. I am still here waiting in the lobby and it has been over an hour. This is what I mean there are serious communication issues and they don't give one f*ck about you. Westpark Springs, you really need to get your sh*t together. DONT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE! do your research before following your schools recommendation for this place. Take your kids elsewhere. No one answers the phone or bothered to call back. Left several messages at different numbers. Makes me wonder what kind of help my son is getting. Been five days so far and not a peep. At least clear creek the doctor would call the next of kin. Shame Shame Shame I don't know what their problem is. But the next of kin whom they live with would be able to tell the hospital what is going on when the patient themself cannot. Patients are taken off all their medication that causes a detox effect. I had called to asked if there were any beds open to check in and do an assessment, I was told there was but when I got there I was told there were no beds and to leave by a very rude guy on the phone. I implore you never take your loved ones here! I'm still having flashbacks and it's been over a week! The worst 4 days of my life. Not only does the website lie about the "amenities" that you will receive while being held hostage inside. They took me off psyc medication without thinking twice about it even though I'd brought the bottles of pills with me, SEVERAL times I heard them speak about how many pills I took and they made fun of me. I did not get to see a doctor for 2 days WITHOUT ANY MEDS, only for them to tell me she didn't agree with my dose and times to take pills. Not only did the staff ignore me several times with absolutely no reason. I got NO MESSAGES from my loved ones and my doctor that was on the contact list; while I was at Westpark Springs knowing they'd left messages more than once. I was treated in the most discourteous way, Several times the staff told me they were "Working on it." or "they'd get right on it.". I wasn't the ONLY PERSON THAT WAS BEING TREATED THIS WAY! Many people are mistreated while inside by the staff. Over the weekend they had NO TRANSLATOR and about 40% are (ESL) English as a second language, staff wouldn't acknowledge those people. It was eh.. first time i went i had stomach pain they told me to suck it up and that i was fine. i ended up leaving not better but 2 weeks later i got admitted agian. Last Thursday I had to take my 17 year old daughter to the hospital for severe mental depression and suicidal thoughts. After evaluation the hospital determined my daughter needed in-patient hospital. We searched for hours trying to find someone who had a bed. I was a nervous wreck looking at all the reviews and reading horror stories and hearing doctors say don't go to this place or that place. Finally the doctor gave me the list and said here...you can help us find a place for your daughter. West park Springs was the first place I called and someone actually answered the phone! The lady was so sweet and calm and told me they would have a bed available the following morning at 10 am. When we arrived the hospital was new and clean. The front office lady welcomed us with a smile and started the process. My daughter spent 1 week there and after the first 48 hr of initial shock of being away from home. She loved her stay there. She couldn't say enough nice things about the staff and how much better she felt and all the tools that she learned to help with her PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. It is so great to see her looking Alive and Happy for the first time in a LONG time! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! read more

This place is a freaking joke. They'll discharge you before you're ready. So seriously, if you're a patient and want to get out... you can just lie and claim you feel better. They'll believe you. It's not like they are trained professionals or anything. Oh wait As a mother, terrified for her daughters life. This place was just a complete sh*t show. I went there to get help with my anxiety & depression & it was like pulling teeth getting the doctors & their assigned therapists to actually involve you (or even start) with your treatment plan & discharge plans. The group therapies are a joke, & some of the staff you could tell were just there to make money & not help people. They place patients in units they should not be in disrupting other patients journey in getting help & causing unnecessary anxiety for everyone. While I was here for 1 week, I experienced TWO escapes, THREE fights, & a couple patients/staff with food poisoning from the cafeteria. The ONLY reason I feel any better is thanks to one of the CHILDREN'S therapists, no thanks to any of the adult ones. Either I've been lied to that messages were being passed to my husband or Lisa is just a very unpleasant person to deal with My loves one has been here for 4 days now and I've heard nothing. Not one peep. I do understand the law of not being able to speak to the patient unless you have a code. Ok cool you follow the law but every single person i have spoke with up until this person has been caring and empathetic. They have taken down my messages and IF he is there then they will pass him the note. I tell her this and she then declares she's gonna tell her supervisor. Ok Lisa go tattle, seems highly unlikely that the 5 people I've spoken to previously are all in the wrong and more likely that you're new and misunderstanding. This facility is about putting bodies in beds in seats. They are not about helping people. The Docs are a farce. I was there for a 3 week outpatient treatment. It was a joke. They sedate and observe. They put fake Docs up as the real deal. You leave there worse than you went in and addicted to the Psyche Drug of their choice. Many of the patients I encountered in outpatient had spent 3 weeks inpatient. Then, they were discharged after their money ran out in no better or worse condition than they came in. I can't help but laugh that the picture that describes this place is the "gym facility." The facility you will never see as a patient. I was here 2.5 years ago & just found the courage to finally speak about it. The time spent in this facility hands down overshadowed the awful incident that landed me here. I was placed with bank robbers and was unable to make any phone calls. My family was unable to reach me & no messages ever relayed to me. Thankfully an angel of a counselor realized this was not the place for me and finally got me released against Dr order. I had great insurance & they took note of that. They withheld my antidepressant that I get very sick without if I just miss a dose 12 hours late. They withheld me from it for 4 days. I also didn't get to shower until day 3 as they never brought me anything & my backpacks brought by friends and family were never given to me. I wore the same clothes for 3 days straight. 2.5 years later as my sexual assault court date approaches, this place haunts me more than that terrible night I'm testifying against. I feel way more passionate about the damage this place did to me. read more

I hope this helps someone!! So my son has been to this facility once for psychosis. He was sent from the hospital because he was having suicidal thoughts. I called a few times in one day to check on him for obvious reason such as They kept him on the same meds (that weren't helping) for 5 days, that wasn't working. I was told I was calling too much. I told the lady then, that's my son and I'm his advocate and I need to know he's ok. So I'll call as many times I need too considering he was experiencing severe psychosis with no help in a strange place. He should've stayed longer to get help with his meds but he was said to be "ok". Fast forward to last night, I called prior to coming because he has psychosis and being a little aggressive so I made arrangements before I drove 20 mins to the facility. The guy on the phone said they have beds and I told him what time we were coming and I get there and a rude lady comes to the front. Keep in mind I've been crying and upset, because tell me One person that drops a loved one off there isn't upset. However the lady at the front starts having an attitude with me telling me they have no beds now. So I asked her why I was told to be here at a certain time and asked why she was having an attitude with me? Her tone of voice was short and snappy. She then asked me how she was having an attitude and well for starters it was her tone and lack of empathy. I don't expect her to be super friendly but this is a crisis center for God sake so why the attitude. She wouldn't tell me where to take my son to and continued to tell me she was the only one there and that whoever the guy was that I talked to is imaginary. Thennnnn she proceed to tell me it was because she was black that I thought she had an attitude with me. I nearly lost it but I had to laugh in her face and told her my son and husband are black so try again with her accusations. She stood there looking absolutely dumb after that. She wouldn't tell me her name as she proceeded to stand there and say nothing with her name badge turned around. I'm not one to complain ever or really write negative comments anywhere but God knew he wasn't supposed to be there last night. I would definitely find another facility!! The saddest part of going thru this with my son is there is absolutely no help unless you pay a million dollars to receive the type of mental health care even in Houston!!! My sons psychosis is onset from brain inflammation (per his neurologist) and praying he gets relief soon. I wished I could do something to find people that actually care and understand what a crisis really is and how to care for patients and their families. I don't know if my previous review is still up, but I needed to add to it. After the horrible way my daughter was treated here, I had no idea there was much worse to come. The day after my review was written, she was sexually assaulted by her roommate. She was 14. Her roommate was almost 18, who had a baby already. They should have never been placed together to begin with. After the assault, she got her daily 5 minutes to call. She was sobbing, telling me what happened, then she had to hang up, because her time was up. I called back right after, again and again. Nobody picked up the phone. I got routed to a main number. There was nothing they could do, other than pass the message on, since they were in a different location. I called every 2 minutes for over 45 minutes, by the time I was able to get ahold of someone. When I told them what happened, the PCA told me they were going to investigate the incident. I told her I wanted to keep the roommate away from her. She then told me they have no other beds to move my daughter or the other girl into, but they will keep the door cracked and someone will be near by. They will check on them every 15 minutes or so. Unbelievable!!!! Let's keep the victim who just got terrorized next to her assailant, who has some serious mental issues. I cannot believe anyone with half a brain would even think that was somehow ok. I demanded someone higher up. They magically found an empty room. I drove there to check her out AMA. I was told they'd have to call CPS on me, I couldn't care less. Of course, they didn't. When I looked at her medical records, AMA was crossed out, and was replaced by "discharged". I called the police and reported the incident. I'm beyond furious about the whole incident. Before this she was depressed and had suicidal thoughts. Instead of getting help, she now has been victimized as well. While nobody checked on patients, nobody cared, nobody picked up the phone. Complete ignorance and neglect. Stay Away! I spent a week there and I can say other than the wonderful women in my area, this place was awful. Communication between patients and family is awful. I NEVER received any of my messages. The staff was extremely hard to understand and rude. The night staff was horrible: either rude, lazy or both. I found out AFTER I left that the shoes my husband brought me NEVER made it to me.. however, my other items did. Find ANYWHERE else for mental issues. read more

I stayed at west park springs for 8 days. During this time I was completely traumatized. From the start I was placed on the unit called meadows where they hold patients who have more serious mental issues. They did not make me aware of this until bad things started to happen. I was attacked and spit on by one man. Then not even 30 minutes later another man was admitted into our unit but we had too many men so they put him on the female side. They should not have put a new patient on the women's side they should've put a patient they already knew. This man tried to go into my room and when I told him to stop he then tried to attack me. He was stopped but afterwards they told me he was given "booty juice" and was "asleep". He was not asleep he was pacing in and out of his room waiting for a chance to attack again. Which he finally did try when none of the staff was paying attention. I had to scream to make it known he was running towards me. I also had a very painful throat that kept me from eating while I was there and I asked someone to look at my throat for 24 hours before anyone actually did it. I ended up having strep throat. The staff here are very evil people, completely insensitive. They do not actually seem to care about the well-being of the people there. They will put there conversations with each other that have nothing to do with the work place before servicing the patients. Mr.Lee the therapist is an awful person. He knew I had social anxiety and would constantly make fun of me in group as an attempt to "bring me out of it". He would make fun of my voice and I would explain that my voice would probably change if I didn't feel so intimidated by him, I then asked him to stop making fun of me and he said that was not going to happen. I'm not sure where he learned that this was okay. Even other patients noticed it and told me they were sorry he was treating me like that. He also told me I was diagnosed with psychotic features after I told him this diagnosis made no sense he followed me around with a book trying to explain that I did intact have psychotic features. My doctor later told me I was not diagnosed with psychotic features and he doesn't know where mr.lee got that from. Dr.Hashmi was also a terrible person. My first day seeing him I was very sad and crying and he told me that made me unstable and I didn't deserve to go home. After this I saw him 3 more times. Each time he made fun of me for crying the best first time I saw him. I never cried again after that but he made sure I didn't forget it with comments like "oh look she's not crying today" or "if I tell you you can't go home you're not gonna start crying are you". He also started using his phone in the middle of me trying to ask him a question. When I told him "I'll wait" he responded "actually never mind I don't care what you have to say, you can leave". He kicked me out in the middle of my question because HE WAS ON HIS PHONE. My last day there I was able to talk to his "assistants" I don't remember their positions. But they told me he should not have been making fun of me like that but there was nothing they could do. Multiple patients refused to talk to Mr.Lee or join his group therapy so there definitely had to be a problem with him. There is a problem with this whole place that needs some serious reform. This place made me worse than when I went in. Do better. read more

My child was a patient here. This place is unprofessional from the moment you walk in. The girl working the front desk is abrasive, rude and should not be working ANY HEALTH care facility. The intake person was more into what insurance we had, rude, not sure where he got his medical degree or any of the healthcare workers there. This place is a insurance scam and will not help anyone. My child came out with worse with coping skills. They were allowed to watch movies that were not appropriate. My messages were never given to my child to call me back, But they will call you to consent for medication but can't tell you why the DR put your loved one on that medications.The nurse flat out lied and said she left a message for me to call her back. Every question you ask is answered with vague answers. Definitely bribery going on with schools referring kids here. We will be filing a complaint with the State and looking into internal investigation at this facility with relationships they have with private offices, schools, etc. This is not a place for your loved ones to get help. Night staff is lacking, no structure and they let the kids stay up late. How are they supposed to get up in the morning, if you let them stay up all night talking to their bunk mates. If you have private insurance your loved ones will be here as long as they can milk the insurance out of you. If you are on Medicaid expect a stay 7 days, w/o insurance 3 days tops with NO help at all. WEST PARK, we care about our loved ones, so that's why we ask QUESTIONS and expect RESULTS with the amount of money WE spend! The therapist will lie on there clinical notes. My suggestion would be all communications should be video taped and recorded bc these so called "professionals " are LIARS. Karma will come back to these INDIVIDUALS that did more harm than HELP the people that came in here for help. They strip search w/o telling the parents, during admission you sit in a room with no communications. They give you a packet and NOTHING and then they expect YOU to just leave. Also during the 6 days stay my child did not go outside at ALL! CPS will be called if you discharge your child and tell them you want to take them somewhere else. I observed my first day a mother distraught on the discharge medication not properly filled out and Dr. Harris (therapist) telling the mother he has no time for her. The STATE needs to do internal investigations on the WHOLE STAFF, background checks. Again DO NOT put your loved ones here! The outpatient receptionist was professional, that's all I can say positive about this place! After taking my child to Psychologist, and Physiatrists of our choice, turns out the therapist at West Park are clueless and they took my child Off of the medication they put him on. I spoke with CPS and this is something WestPark does often is call on parents when they pull there child to go somewhere else. GYM is not allowed for use. Not sure why they have that on there website. Not in the 6 days was my child allowed to go in there. This is more of a detention center for kids, and Dr's like to drug your loved ones. We requested Medical records 6 months ago, still have not received them. I had to put 1 star for this to be posted, so there's that. read more

This is the absolute WORST place my daughter has ever been. I would give a negative 5 star rating, but that's not an option. She's only 19 but has been in 5 inpatient hospitals since Jan 2020, so I've had 5 experiences so far this calendar year. I've never had these kinds of problems with the previous 4. My daughter has a severe eating disorder along with her severe mental illness. Eating disorders is not one of W.P. Springs' areas of expertise. I believe they should have transferred my daughter to an appropriate inpatient facility that could handle BOTH the eating disorder AND her mental issues. It took over 24 hours of her being there before the eating disorder RTC treatment team that sent her inpatient could get hold of anyone at WP to make them aware of her history. She went 3 days with none of her usual psychotropic meds OR any food. She was treated like some random person who just walked in off the street. You will NEVER be able to get through to a real person except whoever answers the phone at the nursing station or intake. The intake people are nice, but not effective. The people at the nursing station will be unable to understand your name or the patient's name (even when you spell it out), argue with you about whether the code you provide is correct, tell you there's no one on the unit by that name, and once they realize they DO have a patient by that name, it takes 5 minutes for them to find the release of information she signed. Messages left with them are not passed on. You will leave messages for the therapist and psychiatrist at their extensions that will not be returned. No one's voice mail is set up and I don't think they check it. The "nurse" I spoke to last night couldn't tell me anything about why my daughter was given the new meds prescribed; she said she just gives patients the meds the doctor tells her to. The doctor stopped 2 meds suddenly with no titration (an antipsychotic that she was taking at a fairly high dose and an antidepressant). They kept her extremely sedated for 4 days. Yesterday she was so sick (shaky, faint, weak) when she called that I was afraid she could die from the combination of med withdrawal, new meds, and low blood sugar from hardly eating...and nobody would even notice, much less call me. I am trying to get her out of here. Dealing with them has traumatized me significantly. If you have a choice about where you or your loved one goes, send them anywhere else. read more

My opinion - please do not take your child/teen here. Our son is the Autism Spectrum and was in crisis. TCH referred us here. Upon arrival we immediately felt uncomfortable. We then read the horrible reviews and decided against staying. From my perspective, they were trying to convince us to leave our son there for inpatient treatment....we refused based on the reviews and how they made us feel. A few days later, I was notified that they called CPS. This is unfathomable. We know we made the right decision by leaving when we did. read more

This is worst nightmare I have never seen. Unfortunately we did not see all red lights until we get into the trap of being force to have my son spent one night in. The assesor asked questions so quickly and so inquisitive that make my son nervous, in addition not only change responses but took them out of contest when explaining. When he answer more or less or I do not know he mark them as yes to push for an in patient. In addition force several responses. Then a Psiqtric does a 5min evaluation and after explaining he was seeing a dr already etc this Dr in 5 min does a different diagnosis than a dr that has seen him for 1.5 months. The reason we came to this clinic was to do a PHP outpatient and they trapped us un an inpatient. This is worst nightmare in our entire family. This is the worst unprofessional clinic I have ever been into. Unfortunately we did not know the process. Now we know and certainly look for a legal retribution. read more

Seriously? Each employee here needs to get it together. I have been calling this center 4x's within 1 minute this afternoon to get from the operator, "a patient discharged home." First of all the patient is still there. Second call back to this center, I get transferred from one unit to another and when I finally speak with an employee, NO ONE, absolutely no one, has a clue where this patient is at that I was requesting to speak with. Third time, the employee states "I don't have that patient." Don't you think you would KEY WORD "try" to look at the patient list and tell me who has the patient?? The final time I tried calling, the phone was hung up on me. Undeniably disappointed to know in a time when mental health is critical and coronavirus hinders any visitation for patients anywhere, staff is ambiguous and not helpful, which imposes danger zone. I sure hope the physicians don't just write any order for any 'ole patient here. Even after all this, I still have yet to speak with this patient. Remember, CARE is in the word healthcare. if i could give them 0 stars i would. this place is absolutely horrible the staff lack so much empathy of their patients...they let people walk around with covid and don't tell other patients at all...they treat their patients like garbage and don't know how to communicate at all a staff member named daisy needs to quit if she doesn't know how to handle heated situations like did you forget where you work?? it's a mental hospital of course there's gonna be a few patients that are hard to handle don't y'all train for that??? overall this place is garbage never bring your loved one here. read more

If I was able to give more than 5 stars I would. I can't express how much my life has changed since doing outpatient therapy here. Every person has been so informative, caring, and truly have saved my life. Group meetings are lead by amazing therapist. The nurse is so attentive to making sure meds are correct. I'm actually sad to be leaving this place soon. I recommend for anyone to go! read more

This place is terrible. The staff was disrespectful and rude (and barely spoke English), the owner of the place laughed in my face when I was very obviously upset, the activities they advertise for patients are not even carried out (they don't even open the gym), and it turns out the doctor was giving me the WRONG MEDS during my entire stay. I hope this will change at least one person's mind about the possibility of staying here. I can't believe this place is even open for business. read more

Tomatoes! I would never send a loved one here! I was in the willows unit (adolescents unit). Ms.Dorothy sucks.... idk where she got her certification, but she shouldn't be working with the mentally ill, she is unethical and labels you based on what you came in for and is more worried about boundaries than mental health, she seems like she's only there for the check. All the Pca's here (especially Chatara and Jordan) are not understanding and make you feel like you're in bootcamp. On my first day here I was threatened a lot by the staff, and was treated like an animal. My first problem coming here was that I couldn't sleep (DR. McFarlane knew that), but once I wanted to take a nap.. I wasn't allowed.... This place made me feel like a 5 year old, and Mr. Jordan made me feel uncomfortable the whole time (in a pedophilic way).. if your kid is here in Willows.. call them EVERYDAY... some pca's should seriously be fired from here, they don't even know standard CPR procedures, and some don't even know how to take a temp/ BP.... the only way anyone can get out is getting on the good side of all the malicious PCA's/ Mr.sammy or any Nurse. Oh yeah... Ms. Katrina (PCA) is unprofessional and should never be allowed near the mentally sick.... we're here to get help... not hear about your life story that you try to gain sympathy from! Grow up lady! One last thing to note, on my last couple of days here, a girl with visible self harm cuts was told BY A PCA "shame on you"... are you SERIOUS? I understand there's a shortage of mental health workers.... but do better... especially McFarlane because they're all under your care as well. read more

I dont know what y'all did to help my son, but it worked wonders! This was his 5th hospital stay and after every other release, there was a week of good behavior and back to the same stuff that had him hospitalized. Since he left westpark springs, he has been a whole new kid! He has a job now and is the successful young man I always knew he could be! I was so ready to just give up...I even called CPS on myself to consider RAPR. Y'all turned his whole life around and I just wanted to say thank u from the bottom of my heart!
