The bare bones of shopping in Burwood, people only seem to go here to visit Fitbodz Fitness Centre. Now that an Anytime has opened across the road, people are even deserting that. Westfield Burwood this plaza ain't. Sure it's got some nice cafés but the weird little Asian shops that sell ugly stuff you don't want seem to outnumber the franchises and the kind of shops you know and love. Plus it's very, very ugly. As an older person I prefer smaller shopping centres to larger ones. Burwood Plaza has the essentials in a smaller space than Westfield. Post office, Woolworths, newsagents, butchers and chicken shop,greengrocer, Millers and Roni's Discount shop, chemist, electrical goods and Lowe's. The food court has a café and Chinese upstairs and Lebanese, fish and chips, sushi, Subway, Muffin Break and Michelle's downstairs. It is probably not as good since Baker's Delight and Best and Less have closed. read more
