DO NOT TAKE YOUR RABBIT HERE. I took my rabbit because they were the only place who had appointment available for stasis. While I appreciated them being able to squeeze me in it seems as though they won't say no to anyone bringing an animal in which causes long wait times and low-quality care even for appointments. Doctor mis-gendered my rabbit and pressured me into overly aggressive diagnostics. I had to decline multiple times in order to pursue less invasive "treatment". Unfortunately, I had to come back multiple times because other vets were so busy. After more pressure to do costly lab tests I took to another vet who quickly diagnosed a UTI (and for a fraction of the price). read more

We are thankful for the care, service, and billing follow through this group gave us regarding our recent visit with our 33+ year old African Grey parrot. They tried all avenues to help our treasured pet. They even flew in an ultra sound person on a Sunday for him. In the end, Crackers didn't make it. But the care was exceptional and personal. Finally, regarding billing of blood tests not read and complete was deducted from our bill. We received notification that the blood results would not be charged. One deduction of a star is just regarding communication of times to arrive for appointments. We needed to call several times for verification of drop off or arrival time for appointments. Three people had three different times 4-8 hours apart, to bring him. In the end, he was failing so quickly, we just arrived at the earliest time. I appreciate all the efforts. read more

This hospital is the best yet. Dr. Greenberg is one of the best and most experienced doctor that I have been to. The staff in the front are so energetic and friendly. Anabel and Jasmine are amazing! Im for sure going to be bringing both my dogs here more often. Thanks again everyone. read more

I was very impressed with their level of service and care. I brought in my cockatiel yesterday after feeding her avocado which happens to be highly toxic for parrots. The staff showed a high sense of urgency and care. Dr. Huesten showed genuine concern for my bird's well being and explained everything she would do as did the front desk staff. They were very calming and reassuring and explained the breakdown of the costs. I noticed the facility was extremely clean and well kept. I've decided to keep them as my vet of choice. read more

Superb. They exceeded my expectations. Place is very clean & very organized. Staff's are so knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My bunny's vet is very detailed with everything done to Kylo. He explained everything very clearly. It makes me feel so happy that my bunny is in good hands. Thank you so much guys. I can't wait to bring my other 2... uncertainty is definitely something I don't wanna feel when it comes to them. But that you guys took away from me and made me feel like they'll be taken cared of. I can't thank you guys enough. I am forever will be indebted. read more

If you have a Rabbit, This is the place to go!!! The staff is amazing and I fully trust them! I took my newly adopted bun when I noticed some eye crusties and they took me in right away! They also have a program where you pay up front for a few visits and they are used for future visits through out the year. You also get a certain percentage back that you can use as credit towards future visits. I recommend purchasing the program. I definitely am happy I took my bun here, and will continue to take them whenever I have any concerns. They even answered all my random questions and made me feel more secure in how I'm raising them! They recently moved locations, I love their new location, its very new and clean and in a more private lot. read more

I was worried when my 10 lbs dog ate one of my 5mg edibles and I didn't know how dangerous it was or how it'd affect him. Gabby took extra time to understand the situation and check in with the veterinarian to tell us what to do. She even took note of every ingredient in the edibles, warned us of any possible symptoms, and explained a plan in case anything unexpected were to happen. She was so knowledgeable and thorough which really put me at ease that my boy would be okay! We didn't even have to go into the veterinarian, thanks to Gabby's guidance and care. read more

We loved this place until we tried to get our kitten spayed here. The prices are ridiculously overpriced compared to other vets. Unfortunately, we had already made a non-refundable $50 deposit. After reconsideration, we realized that even with the loss of the deposit, we'd still be saving more money at other vets which is just wild. After glancing at previous reviews, it seems like this place is pretty greedy and has a tendency to push pet owners into spending as much $$ as possible. read more

I'm so happy I found this Vet! Dr. Carnahan is the best & I know he genuinely cares about my cat. My last vet was a nightmare and they only cared about money but at Westminster Veterinary Group, it's the complete opposite. The front staff is always so friendly! I've been a few times & have never had issues with wait times. Dr. Carnahan is so thorough and although we haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what's going on with my cat Walter, he's done such a great job at explaining everything to me & giving me recommendations as well. I know my cat is in good hands. Thank you Dr. Carnahan & Westminster Veterinary Group for being the best vet ever! read more

This review is far overdue. On March 27 I took my dog to get his teeth cleaned. I was told to drop him off at 7:30am but I was anxious to drop him off so early since his "surgery" time was scheduled for 11am since he's a mamas boy and gets really anxious when he's away from me. I called the vet a little after 11 to see if my dog was in "surgery" and they informed me he wasn't yet in yet but he was next in line. They told me they would call me once he was out. I waited a few hours and heard nothing so I called back to check in on my dog and they informed me he has been out of "surgery" for awhile and was in recovery. They also told me I would be able to pick him up at 730pm that evening. I was not informed that I had to wait till that late to pick him up after his "surgery" when I made the appointment. So I voices my frustration to the staff. When I went to pick up my dog the vet came out to speak with me to tell me how the teeth cleaning went. Before his teeth cleaning she told me she wanted to pull about 4 of his teeth that looks problematic but I decline and told her to just clean his teeth. So when she was telling me about the cleaning she told me "5 teeth fell out while we were cleaning them but don't worry we won't charge you for them!" That comment really bothered me because of course I'm not getting charged for his teeth falling out. Although this experience doesn't seem that horrible, it was to me because there was a huge lack of communication from the staff to to me about the whole teeth cleaning process. I was extremely worried about my dog being put under so I wanted to know all the details so I kept calling for updates and he staff seemed to get annoyed with me. They also over charged me and had to refund me my money. Which was inconvenient. I have been here a few times before and the front desk staff has been amazing and attentive. But this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth so I will be looking for another vet. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to my house but I should have listened to the other Yelp reviews...it was a waste of time and money. I called to make an appointment and I filled out all of the required paperwork ahead of time online to save time. My pup has a lot of eye boogers due to her breed but I recently noticed they were green, not their normal grey/white color. My plan was to take my pup here before lunch and then be back by the time my lunch started so I could relax and decompress. Yeahhh, that didn't happen. I had an appointment at 10AM. I was back home at 12:57PM, just as my lunch was ending. I've never had to wait at the vet for so long. Also, we all have to wait in the car or outside so I never saw the vet. We only spoke on the phone. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the inside of the vet's office does look pretty clean and well maintained and they have a tiny area on the side to wait or walk your dog. The vet was also very informative and spent 30 minutes on the phone with me explaining stuff. However, she talked very fast and it was a lot to digest. I felt rushed when asking her questions because it seemed like she was in a big hurry to hang up but she did manage to answer all my questions. I also told her all of the tests that my dog had already gotten done very recently by other vets. She said someone would call me back to finalize the treatment plan and talk about payment and we hung up. Someone eventually called me back to tell me what we were going to do and give me a total. They wanted to charge me $550 and half of the stuff were the tests I told her my dog had already gotten (literally within the month). After eliminating most of the stuff on the invoice, the price total was about $288. By eliminating a bunch of other tests, you would think that our time at the vet would have been shorter since there are less tests to run now...but nope. I don't know what they were doing back there...I can't imagine that the two eye tests they did on her took that long, especially because the vet explained what they were going to do and said it was quick. The tests came back negative for dry eye and lesions on the eye. They weren't able to tell us if the eye or boogers had bacteria but gave us antibiotic eye drops. My dog wasn't getting better and the eye boogers were starting to spread across her lower eyelid. I freaked out and called to make another appointment but they were going to charge me for the follow up and did not have any availability until the end of the week. I decided to take her back to our old vet who is further away but had availability within the same afternoon. He said it looked like allergies that got infected (maybe her eyes were itchy or irritated and then she rubbed them, causing infection) so he gave her steroid eye drops instead. That cleared it up right away and my visit was much cheaper too...I feel like I wasted so much money at this place. It's not worth it here. I'll suck it up and make the drive to my old vet going forward. read more

OH MY LORD. BEST vet I've ever had. My 6 month old Pitbull got hit by a car and was in terrible condition. They had found her and took complete care of her. Since she had a vet pervious we considered going back, but the way DR.Tran handled myself (being a mess because my dog was so injured) and my puppy we had to stay. It it's so funny because through all the traumatic experiences my dog has had at the vet she gets so excited and LITERALLY tries to run through the door to see everyone. They all greet her the second she walks in, some run around the counter to pet her, and the best part is Dr.Tran sits on the floor the whole appointment with her. She hugs her as my dog licks her to death. It makes me so happy my dog CAN love the vet. It's hard owning a breed where most people are petrified of and at times ignore her. There she fits in, no ones scared of her, she just gets loved just like any dog should. read more

Westminster Veterinary Group - Biggie with her pink cast they put on her. (there's hearts drawn on the other side) - Veterinarians Near Me - Westminster, California

The people here do not know what they're doing. They don't provide services based on your pet's needs, but what will earn them the most money. They've almost given my pet 2-3 vaccines they did not need because they didn't check their records. Had I not been aware of my pet's medical records, my pet would've been given extra shots for no reason & I would've been charged for it. They also administered cat flea treatment on my dog and refused to give me a refund, despite it being another accident on their part. They are negligent in their care & fail to communicate effectively over the phone. Take your pets somewhere else. read more

horrible!! they rip you off!! my pet is dead because of them!!! if i could give them a 0 star rating i would!!! do not go here!! they took advantage of the fact that we cared about our pet so much and kept making appointments about things we already knew!! the doctors stopped taking my calls and when they did they made me wait 40 minutes!!! my pet needed a surgery and they said it could be $1,000 to $1,500 and they wanted the $1,500 before the surgery not knowing even what he had!!! First they said $700 and then they CHANGED THE PRICES AND RAISED IT HIGHER AND HIGHER!! they took my guinea pig off the very important gut medication that he needed and just wanted to kill him!!! read more

Thank you Westminster Veterinary Group for your care and service during COVID. We appreciate all you do to keep us and our pets safe.

On October 28, my cockatiel didn't seem to be feeling well; had stopped eating, was sleeping all the time, and wasn't interacting. Since I haven't taken him to a Vet since I moved to the area I now live, I started my search for a Vet and came across Westminster Veterinary Group. It turned out my bird was okay, thank heavens, but he was given a vitamin shot of A, D, and E. As soon as I got home, he started eating again and has been fine ever since. Dr. Houston, provided me with some recommended follow up suggestions, if he didn't perk up, which I haven't needed as he's back to his old self. I was very impressed with the professional staff from start to finish and appreciated not being pressured to do an extensive exam (blood work, x-rays) if it wasn't necessary. I would highly recommend Westminster Veterinary Group for your pet needs. P.S. I have a friend that took her turtles there, so they are a true veterinary provided. read more

I have taken my many guinea pigs to this veterinary group over the years. It is very hard to find a good Guinea pig vet. They are extremely professional and care very much about my animals. She contacted me a few times during the day to let me know how my pet was doing. I would definitely recommend this vet! read more

I am from the Orange County Huntington Beach Santa Ana area and I have to say this is the one and only vet that I have not only been satisfied with but absolutely enthralled with!!! These people are amazing they know all animals even those other than cats and dogs, and they are caring and specifically I would like to note that a Miss dr. Tran is simply the most caring knowledgeable not only doctor but furry baby mama!!! and she will take the best care of your pet she is knowledgeable and intelligent and caring and she is flexible as well. As far as finances go it is top-notch in pricing and I could not be happier with these people. I have a three month old baby bunny who lept, and landed wrong, and completely broke his leg. This team of veterinary doctors is in the process of healing him they always give the best advice will let you call and ask questions, and are more than thorough with their care for your animal. If you go anywhere for your animal I highly suggest you go to this Veterinary practice and I will personally recommend to you dr. Tran as she is an amazing caring animal lover, as well and your pet will be in good hands!!!!! read more

Finding an avian vet is surprisingly difficult. Finding one that doesn't charge an arm and a leg even moreso. Made an appointment, prepaid for the visit, filled out some forms beforehand from their website, and off I went. Their front staff was quite nice. I had to wait outside the office after checking in due to Covid restrictions but that was fine. One of the front office girls met me outside and asked about my bird's symptoms and conditions. She then took the cage in and went to the back where somebody else would do the checkup. They kept me updated by phone. Once the vet got in later, we also chatted by phone about causes and treatments. She said what I wanted would cost money and might not even work since that's just the bird's nature. I truly appreciated the honesty. In the end, a brochure with helpful tips were given and a peace of mind achieved. read more

It doesn't matter to me how friendly you are or at least act to be. What matters to me is organization and doing what you say you're going to do. There is a reason this is not a four-star Veterinarian Clinic. And it's because time and time again this Clinic does not hold true to its scheduling and order of operations. I do not care about a Wags discount and I will now be going elsewhere. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Please do not take your guinea pig here. My baby almost came back dead and my vet bills went over 1k. My guinea pig had stasis when I came to them. They administered opioids to him (something that an experienced exotic vet should NEVER do to a guinea pig as it can slow down their organs and further harm a guinea pig with stasis. I was also given the wrong antibiotics. They told me that they had no idea why my baby had gone into stasis and ruled out that his teeth were not the problem. Surprise! I later found out at an actual experienced exotic vet that he had malocclusion, an infection and ulcers in his mouth causing him to go to stasis. Now he's fine and still recovering but this clinic is not experienced with exotics (neither the techs nor the doctors). The only reason I took him here was because of an emergency but I will never come again. Please think twice about bring your guinea pig here. read more

I can't praise this Business enough. I came in with an appointment I made the day before for my two guinea pigs for some symptoms of possible sickness. Quick wait time, maybe 6/7 minutes. I was in the waiting room for maybe 2 minutes before a nurse came in who was so incredibly kind, compassionate and energetic. She quickly and gently took temperatures, did some vitals and even gave some cuddles to my boys. Dr. Hueston came in promptly and was a dream. Gentle, kind, friendly. She cleared them and gave me so much advice and very kindly educated me on possible reasons for my concerns and how to best look out for my piggies. She was knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable and I trust her immensely. 5 out of 5 stars. HIGHLY recommend especially for exotic pets. read more

Came here for my 19 year old toy fox terrier, when he began to have seizures and needed to be put down. We made the appointment, and when arriving the staff was very sympathetic. We were given as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes before and after his procedure. They allowed the entire family to be there for the process, and provided tissues to us. For being such a sad experience, it was peaceful and they were so kind. I now take my cat in, the doctor is so kind and I'm so surprised how easily they get him in and out of his carrier. They are very clear in explaining cost and options, and there are no surprises on our bill. They are totally reasonable with their pricing. read more

Would not recommend bringing your pets here, especially not your bunnies. The lack of empathy and knowledge this team displayed when handling my bunny was shocking. It quickly became blatantly obvious that this team does not care about the pets and will take advantage of worried pet parents. Their main priority is to throw all sorts of tests and "treatments" your way to rack up your bill and justify it by saying they have to cancel any possible illnesses out while never giving you an actual explanation as to why these tests are necessary and become very passive aggressive when you try to deny the "treatments" they push on you. I took my bunny somewhere else after all the stress this place caused and Im very thankful for my new vet and how compassionate and gentle they are with my bunny. They were able to diagnose my bunny very quickly and get him the treatment he needed and not once said I should put him down like this place did. It's been a few weeks now and he's back to normal no thanks to this place. read more

I'm debating over whether to write a novel or just sum up my experience to explain my 2 star review. I'll save the novel and try to sum it up. Ever since my dog was 6 weeks old, i've been bringing her here. That's 8 years of loyalty to the same vet. I've always felt they were on top of things, and cared about my pet. UNTIL (duhn, duhn, duhn!) my most recent visit. I felt like they were just trying to get money out of me. My dog has no health problems, she was just due for a shot. Somehow they managed to get $250 out of me (the shot was $20) for blood work they claimed they needed because my dog is now a senior. And, I declined another $750 or so of additional tests they claimed they needed because she's a senior and needed her teeth cleaned. I felt like they tried to trick me by handing me a piece of paper and asking me to sign, when it had a bunch of additional charges on it. Dr Greenberg is the same vet i've used this whole time, and when she walked in she didn't notice me or my dog, and obviously didn't look into any history before walking in the room because she introduced herself like we had never met. After I refused additional services the girl seemed irritated with me and I was out of there within 20 minutes, and they charged me $250. When I called back about the blood work, it was a very quick, "everything looks fine," call. AND, I had to call to ask for the results because no one called me like they said they would. Looks like I'm going to be looking for another vet. And, I guess this review is still pretty damn long. read more

Worst customer service ever! Fr Greenberg and Dr Carnahan were both great. However, waiting in a parking lot for 4 hrs for my animal to be seen when I had an appointment is not acceptable I wish it were an isolated incident but the 2nd appointment was a 2 hr wait and the 3rd appointment and the final straw was 6 hrs poor communication from your front counter staff especially Anabel. She's rude and curt. I realize that emergencies and "things" come up but there's no reason to be awful to patients/clients, especially when I'm being so patient...no excuse! read more
