If you know any cricket playing wicketkeepers, you will know that their ring fingers on both hands, are more than likely crooked from years of playing the game. I've been fortunate enough never to have broken any in the close to one thousand games I've played, but about a month ago I managed to severely dislocate my ring finger.
I rushed to place it on ice, and offered to complete the game, but my captain's green face confirmed that I should rather get it checked out.
I rushed over to Westgate Medical Centre to get it looked at, and arrived only to be supplied a form to fill out, and a seat in the waiting room. So much for rushing. Fortunately there was not many people in that night.
A cute blonde nurse assisted me, and advised I go for x-rays. On confirmation that it was not broken, another blonde hottie came to assist me, this time it was the doctor. She promptly asked about my tolerance for pain, of which I off course replied that I'm a man, and I can handle anything she throws at me.
She bent my finger back into place, and it was all healed, as for my tolerance for pain... Next time I'll say I want drugs. read more
