I decided (in the name of reviewing) to stop in on my way home from work and get a feel for what Money Mart has to offer. My plan was to walk around, linger, talk to staff if they approach me, and basically behave like I would in any other shop I scout out to review. The problem with Money Mart is that there isn't really much to look at and I was stuck just standing around for a minute awkwardly until someone asked if they could help me out. The clerk was a nice older man and was really patient answering my questions, especially since I prefaced our conversation by telling him I didn't want to actually do a transaction. Money Mart offers cheque cashing, payday loans, currency exchange, bill payment, and money transfer services. There aren't any holds on cashing cheques (but there is a fee depending on the cheque value), payday loans have low interest rates, and Money Mart is a founding member of the Canadian Payday Loan Association so your mind can be at ease with their service. I'm always cautious of where I keep my money so I was a little hesitant at first but I was told the benefits of using a service like Money Mart and now the function of this service makes complete sense to me. Hot Hint: Money Mart's easy tax service guarantees the maximum return possible and in some cases will even offer same day cash refunds.

Kindness and courtesy are at the root of a positive customer service experience. I spoke on the…read morephone this morning with Julie and she delivered kindness at all levels possible. She is a major asset to your company. She is a woman that makes a good company, GREAT. She made every question I asked...MATTER and COUNT, even the small annoying ones. Julie assisted me without rushing me and she took her time with me while I talked on and on, and no doubt annoying the heck out of her. However, I never would have known if I had or not because she was so kind, polite and helpful. In this day and age where there is no customer service anymore, Julie made me feel important and made me feel that I counted. That is a rare trait. There should be an extra star just for Julie. Her customer service was so outstanding and amazing, that I felt like I was talking to a friend. And, yes I realize I am speaking with someone who works for a payday loan company. I have dealt with Cash Money for a number of years and have dealt with a few people at this location who have the worst customer service skills possible and personality's to match. Nasty, nasty people. You have an amazing woman working for you. Make sure you treat her as such because you have some real mean and nasty people working at this location that are judgmental of folks like me having to use this service.
