Biggest scammers in kelowna. Gave $1000s of dollars in items to get nothing in return. Never use these thieves. They allegedly bid on the expensive items for a dollar or two. and then resell! My stuff was up for sale on Suzannes page as soon as the auction was over. An $8000 hospital bed went for $2!! They have no traffic at the auctions! How can you even run your business when you have 5 of the same people making 1 bid. You'll get nothing. Awful people. Awful business. Your stuff is not in good hands. I am APPALLED at the ridiculous amount of money we got for VERY GOOD furniture and household goods!!!!!!!! It saddens me that these people are not open and upfront about their processes. I would venture to say that the MAJORITY of their customers are repeat and own thrift or BUY AND SELL stores. It would stand to reason that if something is put on AUCTION ( like a silent auction, that a reasonable starting price would be expected. We had a beautiful solid Oak dining table and 6 chairs with a leaf sell for $17, a Vintage coffee table and 2 chairs sell for $3.00 and a brand new women's leather jacket sell for $1.00 Complete bullshit! Western Star Auctions............Mike? Somebody. These people not only ripped us off but insulted us as well. My Mother passed and we sent her apt. to western Star Auctions and after they charged us over 300.00 for moving a one BR. apt. in two hours and we helped charged 40% for their cut in the merchandise and other expenses they could come up with we walked away with 56.00 total. This stuff was not junk, it was quality but I believe they cheated us. I wouldn't EVER recommend them to anyone! Biggest business thieves in Kelowna. NO THANK YOU! read more
