Yes I am an animal lover and a vegetarian at that but this place captivated me and reminded me of all of the amazing aspects of the wilderness. Outdoor gear includes everything from hiking shoes, camping equipment to fishing poles and kayaks. They really have some of the best prices on items compared to similar stores within the state. It is a ride to get there but the degree of customer service you will experience is well worth the drive. It reminded me of a small scale Cabellas- RI style. It features a large amount of merchandise with many varieties to choose from. Prices are really good. They want you to be comfortable with your purchase and so if you are contemplating a brand of kayak, they will launch you in the kayak within their very own pond for you to try it out...then if you want to try out a few more...well they will let you. I was very impressed with the place. We purchased a kayak, a car rack, a life preserver, a paddle and the owner assisted us with installing the rack and kayak on our vehicle. Let me add that Sundays they are open until 5...well the owner was outside with us until 530 ensuring that everything was fastened securely and that we understood how to do it properly. These people deserve the business!!

The way peeps are tied is nonfunctional and easily moved, Cable driven arrow rest cords are just tied right to the cable instead of being spliced in and served. I would imagine string changes are being done without a drawboard because none of these bows are in time and they aren't checking the work being done. The bow I saw yesterday had 10+ degrees of cam lean and a cable making contact with the cam after getting it back from F&F. Giving a customer their bow back when the cable is rubbing against the cam is straight up dangerous; If you can't identify an issue like that and communicate it to the customer you shouldn't be pressing bows. There is some sort of Wookiee or Bigfoot in a raincoat standing outside for no apparent reason, and the place looks like a shack. That said this place is wonderful. They have baits, lures, tackle at reasonable prices. The shop owners and customers are all invaluable sources of knowledge. These guys talk to every fisherman that come through and even more precious than the bait and lures they sell, they throw in a bonus offering of fishing espionage when you go there. This is knowledge you cannot find in a book, or even online. This is real time on the ground knowledge that changes every day, every hour. I make a conscious effort to come here at the start of the fishing day even if I really don't actually need anything and make some purchase, just to be privy to this information. Fisherman are the ultimate oxymorons. They are incredibly secretive about their fishing spots, but their own ego cannot allow them to keep the secret about the huge fish they caught the other day. Before long they will give up the location of that score as well. The shop keepers keep this information flowing between fisherman that visit his shop.. Become a regular at this place and you will get the scoop on what fish are out there, what bait they are taking, and where they are biting. It is a symbiotic relationship between the bait shop owner and the fisherman. The fisherman keeps the bait shop open with his costly addiction. However the bait shop owner must feed the fisherman not only a steady supply for baits and lures, but also good reconnaissance of where the fish are to keep that addiction alive. A fisherman who never catches any fish is not a fisherman for long, and without fisherman the Bait shop closes shop.

The staff and the range officers are actually very nice. At some ranges if you make a mistake they will and can literally make you feel like a nice big pile of dog poo. Here at elite they will treat you like a human being and guide you the right away. They offer a large array of firearms for rental incase you forgot yours. We are members and have access to the platinum lounge which is a nice area where your non active participants can goto hang out. They have a nice seating area, pool table, a bar and a small fridge. I drive an hour to go see Jerry, and why? Because he's that good…read more It's a pretty simple fact that the sporting edition big box stores are looking for one thing - Money. Spend an afternoon with Jerry and Rick and it becomes obvious that they're in it for the love of the sport. I was given a bow by a co-worker, it was old and needed a lot of help. The big box store near where i live told me that it was a waste and i should just buy one of their expensive bows and be done with it. Jerry, on the other hand, i walked in with my decades old bow and within 30 minutes he had turned it back into a viscous target hunter. After a while i bought a brand new Hoyt Charger from Jerry and more or less have since retired my old bow. The difference is that i would much rather support a guy that was willing to work with what i had first, rather than the big stores that tried to milk my wallet the moment i walked through the door. Now just to add a bit about the shop environment. I would go here even if i wasn't a hunter. Walking in is like going to hang out with a bunch of old friends. Everyone is telling their stories, laughing, and joking. You've got guys walking in with giant fish that they just pulled, all so they can show off their catch. It's a great place to be. Bottom line - Jerry's is a store, but its also an experience you wont forget. Check it out!
