I just moved to Florida and was looking to establish care at a new facility. West Boca Hearing came highly recommended by a family member and now I know why! The building is unassuming but the service was exceptional! Everyone in the office did an incredible job making me feel at ease. They were knowledgeable and took the time to educate me on my hearing. They were patient walking me through my results and explained what they meant in terms I could easily understand. I do have some minor low-frequency hearing loss, but they were honest that hearing aides weren't needed in my case. They aren't trying to get a sale, they are trying to truly help people. I have worn hearing aids since 2004. I went to West Boca Hearing Center because my very old hearing aid stopped working. I knew it was time to buy something new and was pleasantly surprised how there was no pressure or upselling. They looked at my old hearing aid, tested my very bad hearing, and made recommendations that was best for me. I am so appreciate of the time taken to ensure I was satisfied and had what I needed. I have been going to West Boca Hearing for about 15+ years, working with Craig and Angelo. Hands down, no other place for hearing aids and hearing aid service comes close to what they provide. Their kindness, attention to detail and service is second to none. Any issues I needed for service were met immediately and without feeling like I was intruding or asking for too much. Three years ago after I retired we moved from Boca Raton to Georgia where kindness to each other is incredible. I worked with a Doctor of audiology who was extremely nice. But when I needed service, scheduling was never immediate and I had to wait. I was also charged for every little thing which almost negated their kindness. Strangely, they also would not clean wax from my ears and suggested I go to an ENT at additional costs. We just moved back to South Florida in the Boca Raton area and I called Angelo to have my hearing aids cleaned. When I spoke to Dina at the front desk, she was was excited to 'hear' from me (no pun intended) and I had an appointment the next day. Angelo, as always took care of everything. South Florida has been home for us for almost 30 years and although we liked Georgia and the people, we are happy to be back home. And so happy to be back going to West Boca Hearing for my hearing aids and hearing aid service. For the record, I am not related to Angelo, Craig or Dina :-) - I just admire attentive, quality service without reservations or things driven by fees. If it were possible to give a 10 star rating for the West Boca Hearing Center, I definitely would. They are a true example of what a business should be. Professional, friendly, and compassionate. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make sure all of your needs are met. The first time I went to their office in 2012 I lived Boynton Beach. 4 Years ago I moved to Loxahatchee which is 45 miles away. The office has gone as far as mailing my hearing aids to me after I dropped them off so I wouldn't have to make another trip to pick them up. My husband sees Angelo and he has gone to many other hearing centers over the years, and when he found Angelo he found the perfect place! They remember your name from the first time, and always go above and beyond for you. He didn't buy his current hearing aids from this center but they still care and take care of him every time he needs anything... and doesn't try to sell him new ones every time he's there!! Sometimes G-d is busy; that's why she has back up ANGELS like Craig Drucker to assist. I had a painful ear emergency on the first day after a three day weekend and his lovely staff told me to come right over and that the Drucker would see me immediately. Even though he had a full waiting room, he took me right in and examined my ear. I am very impressed with his modern equipment and he showed me the condition of my ear on a huge television screen using a micro camera. He was kind, caring, competent and professional. He even found me an ENT dr that was on my health insurance and whom I saw the same day. He refused to charge me for the visit. I am so grateful for his help and highly recommend this audiology practice-they have proved to me that they are there for their patients and are most importantly, exemplary human beings. read more

I discovered West Boca Hearing Center in October 2021 when I was having a problem with my hearing aids and couldn't get an appointment with the audiologist who I had been seeing previously. My appointment was with Alison who was so friendly and competent. I also met Angelo at that time who was also extremely responsive to my needs. In subsequent visits I have seen them and also Craig, and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention each one provides. Not only are they all kind and friendly but work to ensure that I am completely satisfied and all of my concerns are addressed. I have worn hearing aids for more than ten years. I've had three different sets and always got them from an audiologist who happened to work at the ENT office I had visited. No one ever routinely serviced my hearing aids like this place or called me in with a three month reminder that it was time for a visit. The prior audiologist was impossible to reach by phone and only worked certain days and hours, and a different audiologist seemed to be on staff each time I had a problem. I did not know I could change providers and am so glad I figured it out! Now I know that my hearing and my hearing aids get regular attention. They are all tech savvy,too, and immediately address any connection questions I have had. They definitely know quality hearing aids and provide quality care. My first experience with West Boca Hearing Center was due to an issue with my hearing aid .I had just arrived by plane and was very upset with the situation since I was several hundred miles from my home. I was referred to West Boca Hearing by one of their clients. When I described what was wrong, I was very pleased that I was advised to come right in. The problem was fixed immediately . Since that time I relocated to Florida and continue to use their services and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Both the office staff and professional staff are very friendly, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable about all facets of hearing loss and hearing aids. My entire family could not be more delighted with Mom's new Starkey Livio hearing aids. Connecting via Bluetooth to her iPhone, televisions, and iPad, she's able to fully participate in conversations and enjoy entertainment without the closed caption. Although her unaided hearing has significantly declined over the past few years, she's hearing MUCH better than before -- a significant quality of life improvement! My sister and I took our mom here to get her hearing checked. Dr Drucker was great and Angelo was fantastic with our mom. She had a serious build up of wax, which he removed efffortlessly and efficiently. He also said that the wax removal should help with her hearing and suggested we see if there are changes before considereding a hearing aid. He said she would definitely benefit from one and the test results proved that, however there wasn't a pushy, uncomfortable sales pitch that came with it. These are two slick used car salesmen; while the sole reason for my visit was to address my excruciating tinnitus, somehow I suddenly needed a pair of $5,000 hearing aids! There are many firms that make tinnitus maskers, very reasonably priced ($350 to $850), and that is what I needed. But these slick willies concentrated on my hearing loss (which, I later found out, was perfectly normal for my age, and wasn't much to be concerned with). Instead of focusing on my concerns and needs, they were focused on their own commissions, by selling me a pair of high-priced Starkey hearing aids. Starkey also makes inexpensive tinnitus maskers, but I was never informed of option of going with the maskers. Just that I "needed" a pair of awfully expensive hearing aids. I opted to try the Starkey Livio hearing aids with tinnitus masking technology, on a "free" 30-day trial. This was very misleading, as they immediately charged our credit card 1/2 for a deposit. The balance due after 30 days. This didn't sit well with me, as a 30-day free trial doesn't involve paying 1/2, and when the trial period is over, then I had to wait for those funds to be refunded back to our credit card. I was told that after I returned the "free trial" hearing aids, my deposit would be returned within a week, two at the outside. I waited, and one week passed without hearing from them, then I waited some more and two weeks passed, again without hearing from them, then I waited some more and now three weeks had passed, again without hearing a word from them about the refund of my deposit. After a few more days, we decided that we'd had enough waiting, so we contacted them and told them flat-out, if the money was not credited back to our credit card, then we would file a complaint with both the credit card company and also the Department of Health, Consumer Services Unit, and the Florida Society of Hearing Aid Professionals. The receptionist stated that she would do it that week, and we politely informed her that we had waited long enough, and she should start processing our refund that day. Well, that seems to have lit a candle under their butt. because the credit was indeed processed that day. As long as they have your money, and think that you're a customer, you will get superb service and treatment. Once you opt out of the "free" trial period, then you cease to exist to them. I have never encountered such phony people in my entire life. Which is really too bad for them, when you consider that I had already drawn up a list of acquaintances with hearing-loss related issues that could have benefited them. But after my experience there, I couldn't in good conscious send someone there, thinking that they might hustled into buying something that was unneeded and exorbitantly priced. My advice is to listen to their sales pitch, take copious notes, and compare what they're offering to at least two other hearing centers. You'll be very glad you did. Finally, when we called to make our initial appointment, I told them that I carried Care Plus insurance. I was told "we work with all insurance companies". That was only one of the many untruths I was told. When I brought up the insurance again when they were quoting prices, they told me that no insurance pays a thing, and that they all pass the cost off to Medicare, which made no sense at all to me. When I used my vision benefits, the first thing the optometrist checked (by computer) was what exactly my benefits were, and he applied those benefits to the cost of my exam, frame and lenses. At this Hearing Center, they never once checked what my benefits were, and instead of coming right out and saying that they don't take insurance, they applied a fictitious AARP discount in the amount of $600, AFTER raising the quoted price by $600. So there was no discount. And my insurance benefits afforded me an aural exam, plus $1,000 per ear in coverage. These supposed "experts" knew up front that I had insurance coverage, but never told me that they don't accept insurance, instead handing me a line that "the insurance never pays" and since you belong to AARP (we did not), we'll apply the AARP discount (wink, wink). It does not get more unprofessional than this, ladies and gentlemen. I'm sure they might be good at helping people with hearing issues, but I went there for tinnitus relief, and they were determined to make their commissions by selling me a pair of hearing aids. Check out other hearing centers, and do some research before doing business with these experts in double-talk. read more
