The original West Bank was a collection of urban art in a disused bank on Westbourne Grove. The new West Bank is squeezed under the Westway flyover in what used to be known as Inn on the Green.
Visually, the West Bank takeover is an instant improvement, and despite the low walls the gallery space works well. White walls replace the dingy stage of yesteryear and the interior has received a welcome makeover without going to far. It's still a fairly basic place which was rather empty on a Saturday afternoon.
I am yet to check it out in the evening. While Inn on the Green used to be free, there's now a door charge at West Bank. read more
