I had used Wessons on a number of occasions but not for a while.
I rang to arrange for someone to come and give us an estimate. After a week of not hearing, I rang again and spoke to the lady in the office and she told me , sorry I must have written it down wrong.
Anyway, the guy came and we received and estimate for £266 was emailed to us. I accepted it the following Monday via email and by Thursday of that week I hadn't heard and emailed and eventually later in the day I received confirmation that could do the job the following Wednesday. I emailed and said that was fine and again had to chase to get confirmation of time and date.
The fitters came and were pleasant and the job was done ok.
The invoice came the next day for £399 not £266 as per the estimate. I emailed Wessons and received a stern email back saying sorry they had added it up wrong and it is £399! I emailed back and complained at the tone and their attitude and received an email back saying that they would come down £50 if I would pay an additional £50, so now £316.
I like using local companies, but it would appear Wessons don't value local customers in the same way.
The work was done ok, but the administration and customer complaints and resolution leaves much to be desired.
I wanted more work done and told them this and they still insisted and me paying an additional £50.
