Rating doctors like everyday products is not really appropriate, so saying a doctor is "great" is…read morenot particularly meaningful for a seriou subject. So I am going to tell you what giving 5 stars to a doctor (of any kind) means to me. Fyi, I have difficult, serious, and ongoing IBD issues. We're not talking my imagination here - I had 4 gut surgeries in 8 years, each time after experiencing symptoms that GI doctors at Kaiser could no longer deny were real and required immediate attention. They were always reluctant to treat something they couldn't see plainly, even though it was there. (IBD is like that - it's not easy to see what's going on in the gut.) After I left Kaiser and signed up at OHSU in Oregon, the care approach didn't really change....these doctors are always difficult to get an appointment with, unwilling to answer pointed questions, unwilling to suggest or discuss possible treatments outside of their "standard" set, unwilling to tweak anything to customize my care, and unwilling to share their knowledge. By the way, I have a science background and a good working knowledge of human biology/biochemistry, so when I ask technical questions, I expect technical answers. Nope, not with these men and women. Generally my GI doctors from Kaiser and OHSU have been dismissive and uninterested in exploring my complex case to come up with solutions. Needless to say, they all leave me frustrated and still sick. So when I give Dr. Gurevich the highest possible rating, what I mean is that she really tries to help me. She is available in reasonable time frames, always tells me in detail what she thinks, always listens to what I say, and always tells me what treatment options are available. And our discussions are always science and medicine-based.She lets me know what's out there and what's new. I don't necessarily jump at every possibility, but at least I become aware of, and get to understand what the possibilities are. Dr. Gurevich hasn't come up with any magic treatment to make me all better, but she has definitely prescribed some things that have helped stabilize my condition. She's not going to cure me, but she's helping me.

Overall a very positive experience. Dr Jenny Curto who works with Dr Gurevich is outstanding as well. She is also very caring and very responsive.

Hood office did not call at all. Two and half months later I call all day multiple times, and they have no one available to schedule my appointment, you can leave a message however the staff tells you no one will call you back that day or the next. No guarantee your call will be returned. Called as soon as the office opened on my 3rd day at attempting an appointment, second try got a scheduler who did everything possible not to schedule me, told me there are several people ahead of me that need to be scheduled (which I believe based on my experience) Asked me several medical questions then said I can't be seen without seeing a specialists for INSUREANCE reasons not medical. It's policy. Cant's see a specialist until end of next month no colonoscopy can be scheduled until the specialist refers me (over a video chat) the whole process begins again waiting to be scheduled for a colonoscopy. Mt. Hood Patient statement is an outright falsehood, they scheduling staff care nothing about you as a patient, literally told me she has 1000's of referrals everyday doesn't even read them, too many patients no Cares to give. Good Luck I'm going out of network for care.

Who's name I won't say for confidentiality but he was the best!! So was my anesthesiologist and nurses! I appreciate Legacy Gastroenterology Gresham very much. Being only 26 years old at the time, I was so nervous for my first colonoscopy but following my doctors instructions to a T helped and my after recovery was easy peasy. My fiancé who was there for my check in, pre procedure, and waited till I was out of the procedure room- was super thrilled at how quickly and on time everything was. I was thrilled at how clean and covid cautious the facility was. I'm constantly raving about my experience at this care facility and I hope others continue to seek healthcare if needed. I know Mental health has sky rocketed since Covid has started and that alone can play a huge toll on your health and internal organs so I really encourage anyone having stomach issues or pain to reach out to the specialist @ Legacy Gastroenterology. By luck you may end up with my same care team but I suspect all their staff is equally as qualified! Just remember if it doesn't feel right it's okay to ask for a new provider as being comfortable with your medical procedure is extremely important!

Let's face it, no one looks forward to an colonoscopy! But I will say with 100% honesty, if I knew…read moreit would be this easy, so much of a non-ssue, I would not have been five years late in getting it done. If you need a colonoscopy, this is the place! They have the entire process perfected! No longer do you need to consume a gallon of discusting fluid to prep. They prescribed a low volume cleanse, Clenpek, which was easy to get down and worked within a hour. No staying up all night running to the bathroom. That is so 2010. Not only was the prep easy, they have perfected the entire process, orchestrated every single detail, every step, like a finely tuned performance. From the helpful text messages to remind you to start the prep, a second to remind you to consume the second bottle, another to let you know to stop drinking liquids so that nothing is left to chance. They want the scope to be able to see the inside of your colon and they do all they can to ensure this happens. Once you arrive at the facility, the check in is simple. At your designated time, you are taken back to the pre-procedure room and the nurse goes through what to expect. They take your medical history and go through the normal questions about your meds, etc. They hook you up to the IV, cover you with a warm blanket and then you meet with the anesthesiologist, Bobby, who was awesome and answered all of my questions. 20 minutes later I was in the procedure room where Dr. Flora immediately put me at ease and I even laughed at his "dad" jokes. The actual colonoscopy takes about 16 minutes. You are out the entire time, feel no pain, remember nothing. Next thing I knew I woke up on my own, back in the pre-procedure room. Sipped some apple juice and then the doctor came in to share the results, even showing pictures and gave me the print out. All went well and I got dressed and was on my way. A friend drove me home. All the unnecessary stress I put myself through for nothing! They have made so many improvements and now having a colonoscopy is a breeze and pain free. Both the prep and the procedure. If you need to have one, do it and schedule it here.

Probably the friendliest, most sociable, doctor I have ever had. That really put me at ease (which is hard since I am afraid of doctors) and he answered all my questions. You can tell he wants his patients to feel better, and it's appreciated. As Andrew S. noted, doctors at this practice have different personalities so make sure you know what you want. I prefer a doctor who will have a little chit-chat and smile and joke around - it makes me feel comfortable. If you prefer something more straight forward you may want another doctor, but I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Smith. Everyone else (the nurses, receptionists, etc) are very professional and sociable. All around a great practice!

WTF?!?! No help for those already diagnosed, I guess. So rude!
