I felt like I had to say something because our experience on Saturday through the drive-through was horrible!!!!! We had two orders mine and my husband's, mine was ordered first and then my husband ordered his, he said he wanted a spicy chicken (any person with the intelligence of an eraser would have known he meant he wanted a spicy chicken sandwich) when we got home we saw that in fact they had given him a fillet of spicy chicken in a plastic container, no sandwich anywhere and my hamburger was so messy with condiments on it that it would not even hold together. The staff was too busy laughing and giggling with each other to pay attention to good customer service!!!!!!!! I am rating them higher because when I was there this afternoon, they had TWO PEOPLE running the whole operation! I had an online order and when I got there the drive through was backed up around the building and they still managed to get my order completed and to me on time. The order was on point. Yes, they forgot my son's drink but given their circumstances, I know they did their best to give me their best. I hope they get their staffing situation resolved soon. read more

It's Friday 11:22 I come thru with my family after a football game my lady's order is correct my stepson order is correct. My order however was not even when the guy read the order back to me, x1 I go to take a bite out of my sandwich (chicken fillet Asiago club) the chicken WAS NOT cooked all the way. I called n made a complaint over my order the guy says to bring it back im sorry I'll talk to my cooks about handing out food poisoning. hm I bring the food back cuz the man said he just made fresh chicken . So okay I have a little hope this time I waited to get the meal the sandwich was glopped to hell with ranch with American cheese.... I don't usually Yelp fast food establishments but this has been the worst drive thru consistently! I eat fairly regularly at the Wendy's in Salem and almost always have a pretty good experience. Not this time! I ordered a biggie bag Crispy Chicken BLT. What a terrible disappointment. I've never seen a tomato cut that thin! It wasn't even red. It was so thin, it barely looked pink on the bun. They say they don't skrimp on quality? Well evidently that is not the case. This is by far the absolute WORST fast food joint I have EVER been in. The doofus running the register couldnt stay focused enough to actually make .13 cents change for the guy in front of me or deal with the coupon handed to him. This is after I already waited 10 minutes in line... and of course that guys $3.87 order got screwed up. After 20 minutes at the counter we finally got our order. Sat down and watched the employee walk off the job and pace the parking lot while other employees argued with angry customers left unattended at the counter. What a complete $hit$how. This dump is an embarrassment to the Wendys franchise and should be shut down completely. All in all I lost a solid hour of interstate travel time in my stop at this place. I was stopping by wendy's quickly for a medium frosty on my way back home after running a few errands. Frosty's here are a cheap and simple treat and I was expecting at least polite customer service. When I got up into the drive-thru, I waited for a long while before the car in front of me, most likely got fed up, and drove away. I drove up to the speaker box in front of me, I waited for at least someone to say, "Please wait a minute and we will take your order soon." Or something along those lines. I asked after a while, "Hello, is anyone there?" I was thinking that maybe they closed due to a staff shortage or something early as I am a fast food employee at a similar company and can understand how stressful and busy it can get. Usually I am very patient with everyone, especially a employee on the job. I waited a bit before asking about 2 more times before I got a very rude reply by what sounded like a much older woman, maybe even a manager. She said something along the lines of give us a bit in a annoyed manner. I apologized and said that I was only making sure that someone was there and she said in a rude, uncarring, and sarcastic manner that they were there. I had even noticed the line that was behind me get smaller as other people were leaving and was tempted to leave myself. Noticing that there were literally no visible cars ahead of me made me frustrated. When my order was taken, I rolled up expecting to at least see 2-3 cars lined up at the window, there was only 1. After that car left and I rolled up, I presented my card to the cashier, as she was reading my card this young boy gave me my frosty and said to have a nice day. At least he was being nice, I politly had to explain that I needed my card back before I could leave, thank God I made sure not to leave until I had my card back. I also made mental note of how many employees I could see from the window, I saw 4 employees, they weren't short staff as I can assume they have cooks in the back of the store just like where I work. Not only were they rude, but they didn't seem to even try to do a decent job by not taking at least 3 orders at a time before making a customer wait. They were extremly slow and weren't too busy when I first arrived. Plus they weren't even trying to be at least polite with customers by alerting them to wait. I understand if they don't want to act too friendly or whatever, but they could've at least shown some respect. This isn't the first time I dealt with this poor customer service either, I came here around a month or two back for a quick dine in dinner. A young high school looking girl working up at the register was trying her best but quickily messed up my order and had to void some of it to fix it, she was polite about it and looked like she could've been a new hire. She called on her manager to help, but this manager acted like she didn't give a crap and didn't come up to the counter until she had finished counting her drawer. I waited a good 15 minute before I could finally pay and by that time a whole family had already came in and was waiting on us to finish. I felt nervous and embarrassed that they had to wait because of my order. Looks like I am also not the only one who had to deal with this bad customer service either. Looking at the other reviews, this has been going on for around 3-4 years! I have no doubt this company may get a bad reputation by this un-concerned location. I don't know about other locations, but it sounds like this one is extremely bad. I doubt they make good profit from this. In my personal opinion, if this company wants to stick around they need to do something with these inactive employees. Heck, even temporarily shutting this location down and making a point to find better and more capable employees would do this place better. in conclusion, I would never recommend anyone to this location ever. They are not only slow but their customer service skills and employees seem aweful. Even if their ice-cream is cheap, I am not wasting my money or time to this establishment until this issue is resolved, I work in fast food in a shift that always seems like rush hour everday and my co-workers or myself would never treat customers this badly even when we are stressed! read more

The absolute slowest service ever! We have been in the drive thru over 15mins and don't have our food yet. I sure hope it ends up tasting delicious because they have slowed us down quite a bit! The food was hot and tasted great however the service at night is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! The young black girl working the drive thru 11/19/22 needs to quit and never work in customer service again. The window opened and she shoved both drinks AT me as they dripped all over. No "hi, hello, here you go" then shoved my bags of food at me and slammed the window shut. Never bothered to speak or even look at me, just stood there with a nasty look on her face while shoving things at me. She needs an attitude adjustment. If you hate your job that much QUIT!!!! We all have bad days, but you don't take your bad day out on people who have nothing to do with you having a bad day. If my family wasn't in the car I would've gone inside. The guy taking orders and collecting money had a long face too. It doesn't take much effort to say "hi and thank you". I never run into this kind of treatment during the day. Stopped off 81 on my way back North. Terrible location if you're looking for a quick stop, the road was full of traffic and we waited nearly 15 minutes to order and get our food. Ordered a regular chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger, left with 2 spicy chicken sandwiches. We wanted to get back on the road so we didn't bother checking until it was too late. It's a shame that a restaurant that used to be so good has gone so downhill. This particular location is awful. The food isn't good and the service, well I've seen better. The server was really nice. However when she made an error in the order, after we paid for it, didn't offer to refund us the money. Just stood there and looked at us. It just wasn't worth the 1.29 to get a manager over. This location seems to cater to a very old clientele, I hope they aren't being taken with mis-orders. The food was run of the mill nasty. Don't bother here. I know that fast food is just fast food and not many people will bother to read a review but if you do. DO NOT GO HERE!! They have gotten my order wrong 3 times in a row and I just spent over 20 minutes in the drive through line just to get to a cashier who did not speak a single word, just held her hand out for my card. This Wendy's is nasty the cashier got the order wrong and when something was said the cashier said that's what you said. Then order took forever while other orders went out that came in after. Asked about the order and after my mom got the order found three hairs two in her burger and one in my niece's fries. Told the manager they said sorry didn't even offer my mom here money back. One hair is an accident three is not. You have nasty filthy people working for you and you should be closed down. read more

I stood in this Wendy's for at least 20 minutes waiting for my food. After watching everyone who had ordered their food before me get theirs and leave, the staff informed me that my order was somehow deleted from their computer system. They explained that orders are automatically removed after 15 minutes. Maybe that wouldn't be an issue if my FAST FOOD order came out in less than 15 minutes. The staff then asked me what I had ordered, and I told them everything on my receipt. They were nice enough to give me an upgrade on the size of my fries (the only reason this review has 2 stars) but SOMEHOW managed to give me the wrong entree immediately after I told it to them. If I ever want Wendy's I'll probably go out of my way to the one on Apperson. read more
