Upon learning of the incident, the owner called and issued a sincere apology for the experience (I'd explained how I'd try to call back and resolve the issue directly over the following few days, but hadn't heard back - at no fault to the owner, Heidi - as she hadn't been aware of my attempt to contact). Though I didn't end up going through with my appointment that day and had booked with someone else at another spa, from what the other reviews have said, this seems like an otherwise lovely establishment with professional and courteous staff who - I was assured - DO practice recommended safety guidelines, including masking. I was not compensated in any way to edit this - I just didn't believe that my original review should reflect on the owner or the business as a whole and think it's important to differentiate between a singular, one-off experience and their overall business practices. Hopefully the most important message going forward is that people DO care a tremendous deal about safe practices such as masking - because it, in the end, is going to be the only thing that allows us to return to some semblance of normalcy. So thank you to all business who put the safety of not only themselves but their customers first, it is genuinely appreciated.

I had my first treatment last month and have had improvement in both hands. My second session was today. The heat of the paraffin feels so wonderful and soothing. Entering the door we must take our winter boots off, which forces us to walk back and forth in the very puddle our boots created, because the area is so narrow. She will then order you to wash your hands, and treat you in a rude, abrupt, and condescending manner during intake. She exhibited suspicion and resentment, it seemed like, when I wanted to know about the procedure, complaining that it would take time to provide information, and she was running behind due to an elderly client. She just ordered me to get on the table...I had to ask for what, and did not even know we were going to start with needles. One the phone I had explained this was my first experience with accupuncture, and had questions about the herbal supplements I wanted to take as well. She told me to bring them with me, but never followed up with it in the office. She does not know how to create a friendly, kind, professional rapport at all. She actually reminded me of Nurse Ratchet from One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, and had the most cold demeanor I have ever seen in healthcare. I stated I was so uncomfortable that I had to leave, and asked if I owed anything. She stated that she could not bill me because she did not perform a service. Low and behold she has attempted to bill my insurance for sitting there being rude for a few minutes! That is fraud. I do not recommend her at all. BEWARE.
