HORRIBLE! My psyc of 10 yrs retired. She bad-mouthed him & said that I was on all the wrong…read moremedications & she needed to change them. Apparently she does that with everybody . She was rude from the start. I have several autoimmune diseases that she didn't want to hear anything about. I had an allergic reaction to one of the meds she prescribed and she denied it being the meds she put me on. Even though 2 ER visits, my PCP & poison control said that it was. My PCP wrote her note that I was not to go on anymore SSRI's. That's when she totally flipped out. She yelled at me as if it was my fault. She came completely unhinged. She tried to belittle me. She would tell me something & then deny she said that. Try to tell me i was taking something I wasn't. And at one point she took the note from my PCP and ripped it up into little pieces. I thought she was bad before, this was a whole new level of crazy. She needs medication and not to be seeing patients. She has a God complex and should not be seeing patients. This is very dangerous.

I was hung up on a month ago when trying to cancel an appointment well within the cancellation time and also had already canceled via email... I let that slide since I can call when I'm ready. I call back to discuss billing and to see if I can use some other options, she takes the message down incorrectly and calls me back to let me know they don't give out samples, I never asked for samples! I start explaining this and she repeatedly cuts me off and tells me how I won't be getting my prescription since that's what I want! Actually not what I was seeking, since she decided to treat me as a seeker which is terrible to treat anyone as such! I'm trying to pay for past due co-pays and since the medication is working effectively save money and everyone's time on coming in just to say it works and get my usual 3 month written out script since I've done it before. I ask to speak to Alma she tells me Alma won't call me back unless it's an emergency and any message is to go through her, which clearly she cannot handle. Then she tells me "you will come in Thursday at 3:30" I explain I can't at that time so she decides to hang up on me (I have to pickup my daughter not that she cared) she told me my financial problems aren't her problem! so I have to call back and she keeps picking up and saying "hold please" I wait on hold for 10 minutes and 3 times of her picking the phone up and doing this. Finally we go to make the appointment for Tuesday after she tells me Monday they're closed because of the storm and everyone's acting crazy... I told her I want a phone call or email from Alma so I can make sure she's getting a clear message from me she told me again that won't happen but she will try to send the message... then she conveniently forgets my name but is able to remember the medicine I'm on and tells me how I "need to show up for my meds"... ok that's an uncalled for statement and I explained my medication is not one of those meds I will withdraw from, I know exactly what she was referring to and no one should have to go through this much chaos EVER! And I hate to think someone with perhaps more serious issues with medication or any other issues would have to deal with someone who belittles and bullies patients!

I'm not sure what's going on , but the office is terrible. The day I went in for my first…read moreappointment, they didn't tell the doctor I was there until about 30 minutes into what was supposed to be my appointment. By then, they said it was too late to see the doctor and we would have to reschedule. Luckily (after I had a panic attack in front of them) they were able to get me to speak with the doctor I was supposed to speak with. Now I would like to say that all of this is in no way a fault for the doctor I spoke with, she was a wonderful person and helped me so much, she absolutely gets five stars from me. However, fast forward and I have an appointment a month later with a different doctor, and the day before they call me to reschedule because she is sick. Again, I am not faulting the doctor, I understand being sick and unable to work. But today, (after they had already rescheduled me for three weeks from now) they call and say she will not be in for my appointment and we need to push back the appointment again. Now it will be two whole months since I have spoken with a doctor and really need to speak with someone. I have been having panic attacks, trouble sleeping and am now trying to find another doctor, because this office clearly doesn't communicate with it's doctors and doesn't care about the wellbeing of it's patients. Please do not go to this place!

I come back the following Monday and they say the same thing. AGAIN. So I called and spoke with the receptionist and she told me I could come in Monday -Thursday 8am -2pm and so I got to there on Thursday at 1 . I went inside and they told me I have to come back in 2 WEEKS on a Monday to give them my paperwork because the schedule was full. Terrible business. Rude receptionist. Would not recommend. Also the waiting period to see a therapist is 2-3 weeks .

The Admissions and Accounting staff are also extremely helpful! Extracurricular activities such as aqua classes, yoga, art, music, salon/spa services, and a variety of interesting and fun field trips provided a needed break from the hard work of therapy. One year after my experience I am still thankful for The Wave. Highly recommend!
