I saw Dr. May. Nurse said that he was a nice dr., but don't question him on anything! He conducted my CAT Scan and Mri...I should say that he ordered it. He could have helped me move based on the results, but he did not like that I asserted myself. He said that he could not help me. I needed to request a referral for PT. WellSpan Neurology off of Rosevelt in york have the meanest desk ladys. No one at the office knows how to communicate with patients and it's very unfortunate considering they are working with sick people. The HR department is a joke. Every WellSpan facility I go to the nurses and providers are always the nastiest people. Upmc is much kinder and are much more patient focused rather than profit focused! read more

I was referred to this guy Quackers Dukkipati after I was discharged from the hospital ...to even call him a doctor would be a compliment. I was seeing him due to having MS-related symptoms. I spent more time parking, walking up to the office and checking-in than he spent with me. Instead of taking the time to actually go over and explain my MRI and other scans with me, he dumped a bunch of paperwork on me to read. Yeah, that's great....why not just refer to Google and save me the trouble of wasting time out of my day to see you? His treatment options were just as dreadful. This dude hands me another book to read up on Copaxone and to call in a week or so if I am ready to start it. Sure, that sounds great. I will jump right on that without you taking any time whatsoever with me so I can fully understand what is happening and what other treatment options are available. If you read other negative reviews on other sites on this quack trust me, they are absolutely right. I didn't look at any reviews before I saw him and always want to go in with a clear head without any preconceived opinions. Man, I wish I did some research beforehand. I'd have rolled the dice on anyone if I knew then what I know now. On top of all this, when I complained to the neurologist who referred to him I got a call from someone in his staff who told me if I ever have more questions I could ask....why doesn't this dude just take the time he should with patients the first go around and care? First impressions have a lot of impact and apparently this quacker either doesn't care or is so absorbed by the bubble he lives in he doesn't realize how crappy he really is. Avoid! read more

Our first visit for Pediatric Neurology. Appointment was made on the phone and we only had about a month wait time for brand new patient. Checking in was easy and quick. Not overly friendly but they were professional and easy to work with. Wait time was minimal and once we were back in the exam room it was only seconds before we were seen. We saw Amy Brickner CRNP. She was really nice, very knowledgeable and helpful. She communicated well with my daughter who has Aspergers and was patient and kind. My only negative was that they wanted me to come 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork (which I did) but they were so quick in getting us back that I felt rushed to get everything done. I would have preferred the paperwork to have been mailed to me ahead of time or the ability to do on-line. read more

This office is horrible. My son has epilepsy. I called with a problem. You leave a message at the desk for a staff member to call you back about your problem. Half the day goes by for that call, then you wait for the doctor to respond through that staff member. At this point, the girl told me that the doctor was in and she would get back to me. 24 hours later, I received a call back. When I questioned why it took so long to get an answer, she told me it was because the doctor WASN'T there the day before....SO, WAS HE THERE OR NOT????? SOMEONE LIED TO ME. This is very unprofessional. With epilepsy, time can be critical.....I guess they just don't care. read more

They drs staff called to reschedule appointments 3 times with times being less than 24 hrs away. The third time was actually a hlf hr from my appointment time in the middle of my 1 hr 30 min drive to get there.i have a pretty serious spinal injury mind you. Finally get there after fighting to keep my appointment to have them deny my insurance by saying they don't accept it, and having to leave anyways. I've never had to deal with a complete lack of professionalism from a health provider before and hope to never do so again. Better off seeing more professional doctors in Hershey or Baltimore. The doctors here are not the issue. The handling of the call staff who set up the appointments -- ugh! I liken it to running the gauntlet!! You call to reschedule an appointment, and it's always a huge hassle!! Schedules change and appointments need to be moved around -- people need flexibility. It's NUTS!! read more

Instead of the doctor calling to discuss a situation with me, someone else called (a nurse?) who did not want to give me her name. She finally said her name was "Sharon" but refused to tell me her last name. I take notes on conversations so that I can remember them...date, and what was told to me. I was shocked that I was not allowed to know who was calling me with medical information!!! read more

I saw Dr. Patel Ochalski for a 2nd opinion. I have been suffering with chronic neck and back pain for approximately 10 years. I have tried everything (PT, OT, chiropractic care, facet injections, epidural's and massage) and nothing has worked. Unfortunately, I can't take any NSAID products due to gastric bypass so that means controlled medication is all i have to rely on. The doctor did not know this fact because he did not even pick up the forms that took 15 minutes to read/complete. Dr. Ochalski made me feel like nothing was wrong with me and he has seen much worse. He did not think another neck surgery would be helpful which I had no issues with but he made me feel like I should just deal with it. He also told me the radiology impressions are not accurate. I did not even stay until he was done. I got up and told him I was leaving which is something I have never done before. Do yourself a favor, see another practice or just avoid wellspan altogether read more

The staff at WellSpan Neurology in York is horrible. My son's neurologist moved to this practice and they have been a nightmare to deal with. The last time he saw his doctor was 8 months ago when his doctor was with a different practice. His seizures have gone from one every 18 months to every 6 months to every 9 weeks, however this office says that he can't be seen for almost 2 months. After repeated calls, I was told they would speak to the doctor and call me the next day. The next day nobody called me, and even though their website states they are open until 5PM, I called at 4:45PM and the answering machine said they were closed. This office apparently has no appointments for urgent medical issues. I was repeatedly told that if my son had an emergency that I should take him to the ER, or I could take him to his old practice and pay a higher co-pay and coinsurance. The staff has no compassion and shows no sympathy even when a sick child is involved. read more
