Dr. Brian Taylor has been my primary care physician for the last six years. I've been visiting him at the Wellspan-Springwood Family Medical Center the entire time. The receptionists are friendly and timely when there's a long line which is unusual. The wait time before your name is called is always less than 15 minutes. The medical assistants weigh you, take your vitals, get a brief history, and ask if you need refills on any of your prescriptions. They leave and then Dr. Taylor arrives within minutes. He greets you with a smile and a handshake. His bedside manner is outstanding. He is friendly, professional, and takes his time with you to understand your medical concerns. He is very thorough. He does not jump to the first conclusion. He will schedule the appropriate lab tests, X-rays, and consultations if necessary, before he makes a proper diagnosis. He gives you options and lets you participate in your healthcare, unlike some doctors who dictate your healthcare. I live in the Shrewsbury area and could not have found a better doctor in the area. This medical group has become too large to give good patient centered care. Seldom are you actually able to get an appt with your primary doctor which results in seeing a different doc at each visit. Many times you can't even get a sick appt in a timely fashion- and they are more than willing to suggest you go to their urgent care clinic as a poor alternative. read more
