Rude owners that go out of their way to make your day unpleasant. To be honest, they went beyond rude to insulting.

It's clear this farm has been around for decades and they take care of their environment. I was just looking for a few mums but they had such an amazing collection and the colors were off the charts, that I ended up purchasing five of them!! The fruits and vegetables looked gorgeous as well, needless to say I couldn't resist the ripe tomatoes, as well as the fresh corn, and, of course, the watermelon! I was also lucky enough to score some apple cider from one of the other local farms that was being sold here and some homemade cider donuts! I love that the owners share their venue with other local vendors. For example, they also sold homemade mozzarella and farm fresh eggs from other farmers! Some of the other vegetables sold were cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, and lettuce, to name just a few!! Boy did I get my money's worth!! I was thrilled to support our local businesses and did my part in helping the economy!!LOL!!

Lots of corn, potatoes, tomatoes, peaches, green beans and a few plants too. No pies or meats here. Everything is priced right and the woman working at the register was super friendly and helpful. The food... so good. Sweet LI corn is the best. If you see it, stop and grab a few things. You'll be glad you did! Note: they take card! Bonus: they have a CSA and a VIP club if you want veggies on the reg or end up being a regular customer

It was a perfect day, lots of pumpkins left despite being a few weeks out from Halloween. The store had lots of homemade goods, including this pear-flavored candle that was absolutely delicious and not too strong. They had lots of little pumpkins for decorations that were a good price. They sold baked potatoes with horseradish and corn on the cob that were SOOOO fresh and tasty. The baked potato just melted in your mouth and it warmed my soul. Very cute place, lots of picnic tables, a big truck of pumpkins to take pictures with... This place helped make autumn solidify as my favorite season. It's not too crowded and maybe not the best for kids though.

They speak of small esoteric farming, canning, baking and shelving for the passers by, for the community that have come here. Well, I'm not only a bit put off by that assumption that I hold dear and entered Schmitts with, but I've lost my grip and spilled my tea. As to not point the dirty end of the tomatoe stake at this one establishment, I'll open with a broad brush stroke to encapsulate east end Long Island road side merchants. "Y'all are a royal rip". Where in the world are you getting pricing from? A loaf of focchia and some cookies was $34.00 and the good girlfriend just glanced towards me as if to say "please don't say anything ". The first potential comment would have been to smile, perhaps an eye roll and follow with a "thank you but no thank you" Second potential comment which almost landed was "crooks, bag my sh*t, I'm never coming back again". Which is exactly what I've decided to do, but I knew it was coming in the periphery. Poorly tagged items, seeking the Local catch work too hard inside and out just in perfect time for seasonal shoppers to hear the spiders lullaby. I'm sure Schmitt could give a rats batookas of my opinions here, they're shoveling money out the back door and into their extra homes and boats and all the big boys toys. It's a memory that is not easy to digest, as the inside customer service was MTA-esq as it relates to sincerity.

What I'm looking for is the Davis Peach Farm Sangria mix made with fresh fruits. I had a Davis Peach Stand by my house but they picked up and left. There are farmers selling various vegetables, Pindar Wines, Beer vendor selling growlers, a guy selling raviolis!! Riverhead Farmers Market is a local gem. If your by Tanger Outlets, its not too far of a drive. Park on Main st and enjoy some locally sourced items.

I paid $22 for a bag of potatoes and a bag of carrots. I can afford it, but what about those who can't?. A box of baked goods (scones, muffins etc) were also in the $20 range. Cheeses and meats (yes boutique vendors) were so expensive I couldn't justify purchasing) Probably won't go back

I brought my niece and nephew, and we easily had one of the funnest afternoons! The Barnyard Adventure is a paid area ($28.95 per person on weekends), but with eight acres packed full of things to do, it's worth every penny. To put the size in perspective ... it's like exploring six football fields lined up together! The highlights for the kids included getting up close with a variety of farm animals, a trike track, sports zone, and multiple playgrounds, pig races, a musical hayride ... there truly is something for all ages. The atmosphere is lively, especially with those pig races and musical hayride tours. My niece and nephew were totally engaged from start to finish. There are plenty of food stands throughout the property with the classic farm favorites. Apple cider donuts (my personal fav), popcorn, ice cream, and coffee stands for the grown-ups. Speaking of adults, a huge bonus is the vineyard right on the property. I treated myself to a glass of rosé to enjoy while the kids played, which was a nice addition. It does get busy, but the whole setup is well organized that it does not feel too crowded. Barnyard Adventure is one of those rare places that charms both kids and adults, making it a perfect fall or weekend family destination. I can't wait to come back next year for more memories (and donuts) with my niece and nephew!!

With access to leave and come back, which we loved, we enjoyed hayrides WITH a singalong! Animals, a lot of games, bounce pad and more. Everything was super clean and exactly what you think a farm should be hahahh. The workers were all sweet and kind. We did enjoy a cup of there chocolate chip cookie. Very good. You can bring in picnic food if you wish, but they had hot dogs and basics to purchase as well as a small farm stand in the front. I would highly recommend for families with children of various ages but more geared toward 10 and under. Cant wait to go back again this summer.
