I saw Dr. Sinsheimer on two separate occasions. The first 10-15 minutes of each visit (which are…read moretypically 45 minutes) involved processing insurance (which I have never encountered in my life, btw). Dr. Sinsheimer was unaware that because she was an in-network doctor, I only had to pay $35 as a co-pay. She informed me that I would have to pay $195 for my initial consultation. I paid her $195 for my initial consultation, in cash. She ONLY accepts cash, by the way. After my initial consultation, I called my insurance company, which informed me I should have paid $35. During my second consultation, I told her that I overpaid, and that she should refund me the balance of my over-payment. Instead of agreeing, she said that I could "work off the balance" through subsequent visits. Wholly unprofessional, when I think acceptable business practices would involve 1) refunding me my money and 2) having me pay her for each subsequent visit. There is also a "time value of money" argument that leads to the same result (i.e., refund me my money, then have me pay later) -- but I'll spare the people reading this review from explaining this. That said, she refused to provide me with a receipt for either of my visits. I insisted that she work with my insurance carrier to refund me the money ($195 - $35 - $35 = $125). It's been two months later, and I have received word from my carrier's claims agent that she has not returned their calls. A few weeks later (today, July 28, 2015) I call her. She says she's with a patient. She probably IS with a patient. Discussing insurance instead of their emotional well being. And being a generally unprofessional professional. I am not counting on getting my money back, and certainly can't get the time back trying to remedy this issue. I hope this review is read by enough people so they can vote with their feet and their wallets. If you enjoy being happy, I would stay away from Dr. Sinsheimer at all costs. Update 8/28/2015 - Dr. Sinsheimer and I spoke, and she said we will try to resolve this issue when she gets back into town in a few weeks. Stay tuned. Update 10/8/2015 - Dr. Sinsheimer now says I owe her money because I cancelled appointments on her. So, we went from a situation where she was confirming how much she owed TO a situation where she is claiming I owe her money. This is very disappointing, and one of the baldest face lies I have encountered in my life. I will probably not pursue the money she owes me, though I have voicemails to substantiate my claims. It's just not worth it. Live longer and happier by staying away from this unprofessional and dishonest practitioner.

A lot about this experience was unprofessional, rude, uncomfortable, and unkind.....I attended two…read moresessions with Dr. Sinsheimer and on both occasions I felt that my history and symptoms were belittled and challenged. She demanded payment up front along with a printout of benefit information from your insurer's website. Now, I understand this is a business, but I have never been to a mental health practice where I was demanded to pay before receiving services. Provide insurance card and fill out consent form first, yes, but not payment. I did these things as requested, but my printout was promptly thrusted back at me along with the statement "this means nothing to me. Call them." She refused to discuss my condition with me until an insurance agent would tell her my deductible information, and was incredibly rude to the agent while on the phone. I sat there feeling scolded and uncomfortable while the agent read off the exact information I had tried to hand her five minutes prior. I felt that she steamrolled over my concerns about my health, symptoms, and treatment. When it came to medication, I expressed concern over documented side effects regarding the drug she had chosen, and she responded with frustration and belittlement. She said "I think you should take [drug] but you don't know WHY you don't want to" even though I had just explained why, and explained that I was uncomfortable with it and concerned. She spoke to me as if I was a foolish child for having my concerns. She tried to convince me the clinical trials were not accurate in portraying the medications I expressed interest in. I'm okay with being wrong about information, but this woman was not open to my input on my own condition, which I've been medicated for twice previously and have been managing for 7 years. She had known me for two days. I did not feel respected, heard, or cared for in any way. The second visit ended with me telling her I would be continuing elsewhere. If you are struggling emotionally, I recommend you seek treatment elsewhere with someone who will be considerate of your autonomy in your care plan.

I saw Dr Graham for 10 years, up until recently. If I had written this 6 months ago, I would have…read moregiven four stars. I received excellent treatment for 9.5 years. I did not have the negative experiences other commenters unfortunately had. But about 6 months ago, Dr Graham suddenly had great difficulty calling in my prescription correctly--writing the wrong dosage, sending it to the wrong pharmacy, or both. This happened more than once, and required numerous emails/phone calls to straighten out. Suddenly, she dropped my insurance, so I had to pay full rate for our last visit. She promised to send a paid invoice I could submit to my insurer. I never received it. Again, she did not submit my prescription correctly. I followed up and she told me she sent it to the wrong pharmacy (she did not) and promised to correct the problem immediately (she did not). I asked her to send me the paid invoice, and she has not. I had to go to my primary care physician to get the prescription. I have followed up numerous times, and she has not returned my emails or phone calls. (I hope she's ok.) There were even more problems I'd rather not discuss here, but they were not insignificant. I have ended treatment with other physicians, but I have never had one abandon me--until now. This is a sad ending to what was, until now, a very helpful and productive doctor-patient relationship. Regretfully, I do not recommend Dr Graham.

After a long haul hour and half commute to be served for twenty minutes of managed care treatment which the woman spent most the my session time punching away at the keyboard in front the computer while I spilled whatever is on my mind. The woman never gave me her undivided full attention as it was a one-way only in the communication traffic. Has the whole medical professionals moral ethics declined with no communication, texting on the phone, punching to no end at the keyboard of a computer? Healthcare in U.S.A. is an utter embarrassment to the world!
