*DO NOT SEND PEOPLE YOU LOVE HERE!!!! THEIR LIVES WILL BE AT RISK!!!!!* I went here in 2021, I had just turned 18 and this was against my will. I went to the emergency room because my anxiety was so bad that I needed help. The nurses at the emergency room gave me a mental health evaluation and once they found out that I was suicidal. I was told that I could either of my own free will go to a mental hospital For Help or they would call the police and they would take me anyways. Once I arrived at Wellbridge, I was asked by a doctor for my written consent for medication's to help me with my mental illness, or so I was told. These are all of the medications they put me on in 2 and 1/2 days. These days were a blur, I remember the environment being scary, people hurting themselves, and being told that I would only get outside time if I was smoking cigarettes. I remember the nurses using cigarettes as incentives to go outside. I thought I was being treated and helped by these people. But a couple of days later I could see that it wasn't what they portrayed. I wanted to leave this place. It was so scary. They told me I wasn't able to check myself out and the only time we could get visitation was on thursdays. A couple of days later the nurses woke me up from a nap to take vitals and my heart rate was so high I was at risk for a heart attack. I was asking for visitation and was told that I could only receive visitors on Thursday's, which I found out later isn't true. I was rushed to the hospital and treated and the hospital asked me how my stay was and I told them horrible. They ask me if I knew how many medications I was on and if I wanted to see how many medications. My father and I were shocked to see pages of medications and drugs that I was given in just 2 1/2 days. I went for my mental health, and this is what almost killed me.

I don't do reviews ever but I had to do this one…read more ! have been to 6 rehabs now. I am a pro at this. I have been to the very best in terms of amenities and I have been to the ones you only see in your nightmares. This is by far the best and I will give you the reasons why. You get your own bedroom and when detoxing or going through PAWS ( Post Acute Withdrawals Syndromn, if you don't know what this they will explain it better but its basically withdrawals after the fact. They can feel the same but there are ways to handle it and they will show you). Having your own room was a big deal. Some even have their own bathtubs which was amazing. More than 90% of the staff have been in your shoes and know what you are going through. They actually care about your well being. They want nothing more than to see you succeed when you leave and will go to any lengths to make that happen. Even your doctor has been through it and I have never seen this. There food was alright. Nothing to write home about but the kitchen staff would surprise us with home made goodies and it was always welcome. The people I met there are just like you and I. Addicts and drunks. We come from very different walks of life but we can connect and relate to each other and talk about our situations in life and how we deal because we get each other. The camaraderie is heartfelt and real. You really get to know the care coordinators on a personal level. I needed smokes so badly that one walked me across the street to get them in 100 degree weather. That was above and beyond their job but they knew that would help me. Dontas think you won't be told no here, however. You will be told no here. Thats going to happen anywhere and especially in the real world. The thing is, when you are told no at the Fort it is because of a good reason even if you don't see it. I never needed anything I could not have. They will also set your aftercare plan up with the i's dotted and the t's crossed. Having been to rehab so many times I knew all that they were teaching me. I knew what to do when I got out and had the plan to do so. I was here to get my mind and body right. I knew I needed AA, I needed counseling, I needed boundaries, I needed to get a sponsor and work the steps. They showed me it was possible and how to do it. They set me up for success and I owe them my life and all that is in it for without them I would have none of this. I am actually happy now. I haven't been able to say that in 25 years. I have real friends who would die for me that I met there. This place gave me things I had forgotten existed. I had things happen to me when I was younger that I thought I could never let go of. If you can think of it it probably happened to me. Because of this I started using and drinking at 15. I had lost almost everyone around me wile I was drinking. My wife hated me, my 5 year old son thought I was going to die. No one liked me and I hated everyone. I was a burden and a curse to anyone near me. I would start withdrawing when my BAC was .2. I had seizers, DTs, and I always felt like I was going to die. I have severe anxiety and PTSD and had been drinking and drugging for 25 years to numb the pain. I did not know how to live life at all. I was basically going go die and no rehab could help me because none had before. This place was different. I do not know who is reading this but I implore you, if you need help please reach out to the Fort. Even if you don't want to go like I didn't want to go, give it a chance. You can do 30 days standing on your head. The worst that can happen is you have gained a little knowledge and some clean time. The best thing that can happen is you get your life back and all the tools you need to conquer what is ahead. Today is my birthday and I turned 40. I am sober and loving life even with all the problems that go with it. I can only say this because of the people at the Fort. Without them I would probably be dead or close to it. I hope I will see whoever is reading this at the monthly Alumni Meeting one day. If I can do this anyone can!

Friends and family in the healthcare industry have been blown away by the level of care our father received & we will be forever touched by the heartfelt, sincere staff at every level. I question their credentialing. No one there seems skilled and yet they call themselves skilled nursing. They are rough in handling patients, especially very fragile ones. The RN's care more about inputting data on their computers while looking at their phones instead of offering personal touch and engagement with their patients. There is ALWAYS an excuse as to why results are not given, labs aren't drawn, and assistance is nowhere to be found! They deliberately ignore the call light and if you call it to their attention, they get pissed off at you and your family and will not attend to any critical needs or concerns. They do not know how to assess the needs of their patients. Each person that comes in is handled in the same manner; whether you have just lost your legs and can't walk or whether you got a paper cut. It doesn't matter. No one matters to the staff. They pretend to care but at the end of the day, they don't. Your family member is WAY BETTER OFF going home to rehab in the comfort of the home. My mother was there for broken hip rehab, developed a very contagious stomach infection (out of the blue), became severely dehydrated after 4 days of uncontrollable diarrhea and neglect to treat properly. I removed her from that place and took her to the ER where we were told that she was in renal failure and extremely ill. Three days later, she passed away. What an utter shock to me and my family to bury my beautiful mother this past week. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

After calling and leaving messages for over a month, in desperation I had my wife drive me to the office to try and set an appointment. Upon arrival I went into the office, adorned by some really interesting art, almost like an art gallery. I love art and was impressed, but that was short live after noticing one woman waiting in the waiting area, while a loud woman(I guess a secretary)was talking loudly to a patient on the phone that was trying to explain to her that they needed a refill. (Unfotunately I heard quite a bit) She continued to cut the person on the phone off, telling them she couldn't help them and they needed to come in and see the Dr. Fair enough. As soon as she got off the phone, before saying or asking much of anything, she informed me that they were "cash only" and "didn't accept insurance". First of all, I have just lost my mom a year ago and my younger brother a few months ago, so I am already in a really dark place, but instead of telling me about the services, setting up an appointment to let me speak to the dr, this cold hearted witch goes right into telling me how they don't take any insurance and giving me the prices per visit, including the visit to see if they can even help me. Being desperate and depressed I just kept asking her when I could get an appointment. She followed everything up with telling me the cost (I guess I looked like I couldn't afford it) after 10 minutes of her telling me their ridiculous prices, we left. It was a shock to meet someone that deals with mental health act like that. Far from professional, but clear about what is most important to these crooks. Save your time, and money and look ANYWHERE else. The ONLY thing this place is interested in is $$. Not in helping the patient. BTW, I was well aware that they might not take my insurance, but having this woman shove that down my throat instead of showing any empathy, concern, or just caring, was enough for me. I dont do many reviews, but this bothered me so much, I felt obligated to warn others. Good luck, and help is out there. Just don't waste your time and end up in a worse mental state by going by here, and go somewhere that actually cares more about their patients, then their exotic art and money.
