NO LEADS after 10 months! Absolute waste of money. Will not allow advertisers to cancel contracts when their advertising fails to meet the promised outcome. My rep told me we would be included in post cards and in the email but after signing the contract, that turned out to be a lie. I tried to cancel the contract, but Welcome Wagon will not let it be canceled. They automatically charge my card. Update 2/4/25: WW replied to my similar review on another site and "asked for more details." However, back in mid Nov '24, I was contacted by a "senior customer service" person at the company and told this person exactly what the company needs to do to make this right (print a corrected booklet and send it to me), and well what do you know, as of early Feb. '25 and y'all have not done it. The previous email was from Linda Farley on 11/18/24 and I spoke with her by phone soon thereafter. She had "senior" all over her job title and voice. She wanted me to take my review down just by her say-so that they'd make it right; I refused and said a reprinted booklet WITH CORRECT INFO would do. Haven't received said booklet. Your play WW. Further update 5/8/25: I am keeping my review at 1 star, after further contact with the individual who reached out in Feb. This person was cordial and seemed sincere in wanting to fix things; however, they remain unfixed, and I now consider the matter closed. What happened was WW did manage to (eventually. after sending the wrong original one again oops) send me a revised booklet that doesn't assert my "local" DMV is in the wrong state. However the latest, greatest one now says that my "local" government is a city I do not and have never lived in, while also calling my local Parks dept something it is not in fact called. As in, apologies to Leslie Knope & co but it's not Parks & Rec 'round here and a simple google will show this. When I pointed these errors out, and in particular the first one that got my local government completely wrong, this person only told me that WW's zip codes are not that specific, before going on to 'splain that people sometimes shop outside of their immediate localities. Well, the poor data (zip code) issue is severely not my problem. If WW is trying to raise its "local" cred by giving "local" links, they ought to be accurate. As for people roaming around to shop -- my gripe has nothing to do with whether businesses from outside my immediate area are advertising in the WW booklet -- I have no problem if they do and I often shop outside of my immediate area. I just don't want or need someone sending me a "helpful local links!!!" page which basically says "your local government website is X" when I LIVE IN Y, NOT X and X is therefore not going to be interested in helping me with anything as I do not vote, pay taxes, or do anything else that has to do with being a citizen NOT a customer over there. (I know. Being a citizen must be a funny idea for a company that only cares about their bottom line, but it still matters to me who picks up my garbage and who I vote for to represent me locally.) Anyway I've wasted enough time on this - tldr WW made a pretense of trying to fix this issue and eventually acknowledged that telling a Pennsylvania resident that their "local" DMV was in Delaware was probably not a great look, but at the end of the day the company doesn't care to up their game to actually be helpful if you're a family that just moved to the neighborhood -- they just want the vibes, plausible deniability and pretense. I emailed Amy Smith requesting to cancel services, after our 6 month contract was well past expiration (we setup this service in June of 2025). She replied same day, CCing Chris Heatherdale on the email correspondance, instructing him to assist with the cancellation on January 7th of 2026. On January 8th I received an email invoice for the next billing cycle. I replied to this thread requesting that they assist in cancellation to avoid further charges, no reply. I emailed again on January 14th more than a week letter, requesting a reply. On January 15th I emailed again, no reply. on January 29th, I emailed letting them know that after weeks of zero reply I expected a response by end of day otherwise I'd have to dispute the charges that would be processed in February. Today February 2nd of 2026 I emailed again letting them know that I will be disputing that CC charge unless it was refunded tonight with an email reply confirming. Within 5 minutes of sending that email today, Chris called my business, as I was literally in the middle of writing this review. My staff gave him my cell, and he called me to give me an extremely unhelpful description of what the services were as well as to let me know he has no control over issuing a refund and would have to pass this to "higher ups". I have found a new veterinarian around the corner from my home, when they asked what I did the office manager over heard me say I just started with the Welcome Wagon and she came over and asked if I could meet with her after I registered my dogs. When I sat down with her, she said they are under new management and that the Welcome Wagon was the most successful advertising they ever did; could I come back to meet with owners so they can sign up in my neighborhood. Earlier this year, I requested to cancel my contract as they were charging me hundreds of dollars a month without a SINGLE customer inquiry. In April, after posting a Yelp review, Linda Farley, "Director of Customer Service," finally reached out and promised to cancel my subscription and refund the money **ONLY IF** I removed my review. I honored that request once the refund cleared. On May 1, 2022, my card was charged again. I emailed and got a response, "How can I help you?" with NO REFUND on one of the charges (the charges were split into two payments). This morning, I got notification that I was charged twice, for a total of $347!!! So, yet again, Welcome Wagon and Linda Farley showed they cannot fulfill their promises. Welcome Wagon called and I agreed to do a trial offer advertising my small business. I tried calling my rep to cancel and was sent to voicemails. I was able to reach someone over the phone that assured me they would handle my request to cancel my subscription. I never received a call or follow-up from my rep. They billed my debit card for over a year until they drained my account more than $1100. Yes, I should've been aware they were still charging my account but that doesn't make it ok for a company to take advantage, lie to me about helping resolve the billing and continue to take my money and then threaten to take me to collections because they refuse to stop billing me. I have no idea how this scam of a business found out I was buying a house before I had even closed. And they wouldn't tell me and hung up before I could speak to a supervisor. They kept trying to tell me that they were "welcoming me to the neighborhood" (but misunderstood my street address so clearly not from DC or my neighborhood) - I wouldn't let them go any further with whatever they were trying to sell me. Good marketing tool, it has really helped out with my business. My rep called and asked how much I liked the program and I told her I loved it and that I would be happy to write a review. I do home remodeling for North Star Construction, started in 2018. I did not have the funds for Websites or marketing, but Welcome Wagon provided us with all marketing strategies for a third of the quotes that I received from other marketing venues. I left the practice and received a notice that the payment method had been declined (Company CC was deactivated when I left.) I told them to contact the new management at my old clinic and they told me that I had signed up, so I was personally responsible for the account. Waiting for resolution from the company. Once we signed the contract, the customer service was horrid. We could not get our sales person. Calls and emails went unanswered. We got NO results from this. We attempted to make chabges to the advertising several times, but this company is not set up for this. We paid our contract monthly for well over a year, and then had a credit card change and office move. We got a email out of the blue saying we were being sent to collections. Yes I should've been more careful in reviewing my credit card statements but that does not give a company permission to take my money without permission in an amount that I believe a lawyer may consider grand larceny; but I'm no lawyer. We were told when we signed up we could try it for one year. They never told you you would be on an auto sign up every year. Last week we had a customer contact us with a on line coupon for 20%off. A representative, from welcome Wagon, came and sold us on a year of service. We paid for the whole year upfront, the representative stated that he would be back in a years time to check in and see if we wanted to resign. The year just ended and I find out that there is an auto renewal. The representative never mentioned that part. When I try to explain this to the company they said sorry, not sorry. They will not cancel until they receive $575 to break the auto renewal. It says a lot about a company when they have to trap in customers with auto renewal. Customer service did not return phone calls, emails went unanswered, and they automatically roll you into a new contract unless you write them a snail mail letter. During our 12 month contract we received 1 call from a prospective patient with HMO insurance which very few dentists accept. The only assistance or check-ins were if we initiated contact and even then communication was sporadic. Like most new businesses, getting the word out about who you are, what you do and where you're located is paramount to surviving.We had a nice rep show up in our clinic. She was very polite and professional and hooked us line and sinker. We told her (verbally and written in an email) that we would like to give this a try for 6 months - only. She agreed and told us our clinic would appear in this month but we could have the list of new residents for the current month we signed up. That was lie number one. As it turned out, we were not allowed to have that list. This first list we did receive, we sent out about 100 direct mail post cards to have about 1/3 of them come back as incorrect information. We never received one call nor one patient from this marketing campaign. Then... six months later, we are still being billed. I called and told Welcome Wagon, I only agreed to 6 months as I indicated in writing. I was told by the rep that it renews automatically and I should work the lists harder. We got absolutely no phone calls, we did not receive the addresses and names we were supposed to receive we did not receive return calls from the representative who came into our office all we got were constant phone calls for payment after we cancelled their payments with our credit card company.
