The City of Enterprise Alabama is outside Fort Rucker Alabama (Home of Army Aviation) close to…read moreOzark and Daleville, Alabama. Enterprise is not as close to Fort Rucker as Daleville is (walking distance) but it is definitely larger and there is more stores and restaurants making relatively quick to drive to from the base. Enterprise is not as big as Dothan Alabama but I personally prefer it. I give The City of Enterprise 5 out of 5 because of its caring and friendly hospitality to all military. Enterprise has lots of coffee shops and its home to the one and only Boll Weevil monument. Apparently back in the late 1800s the city of enterprise was established and its main crop growth was cotton, then one day an infestation of boll weevils took over forcing farmers to change their crops to peanuts (apparently they couldn't grow anything else) giving more profitable results than cotton ever did and making the area the largest peanut growers of the United States and today the Peanut Capital of the World. So, as a reminder of Resiliency the citizens of Enterprise built a boll weevil monument on Main Street following a series of others all around the city outside different businesses. The city of enterprise now has 31 boll weevil's, you may find a map of all in their city website, and perhaps take a challenge of visiting them all.

Stopped in for fuel and to attend an event at Ft Rucker. Line service was excellent, friendly…read moreattendants. Fuel prices were well below the average for Jet A and for 100LL. Facilities were nice and well kept, clean restrooms and nice flight planning room. They have courtesy cars available and there were numerous options for lunch just a few miles away. Not sure about after hours support and they are closed on weekends and holidays, so Dothan might have to do at those times. Thanks for the excellent service will definitely stop by again when we're in the area.

Of the 3 Pepsi murals this one is the most basic one and just features the old school Pepsi logo with the slogan of "one more, please". I'm a big fan of the local art of communities. It gives definition and a personality to the spirit of that community. This particular mural was done by Linda Gamble back in August of 1997. Eufaula, Alabama has proudly embraced that they are the "Big Bass Capital of the World." I do not…read moreknow if there are facts to back this claim, but Eufaula, Alabama does have some beautiful waterways that I am confident do possess some large bass (not to mention other fish). Eufaula, Alabama is also a pleasant city filled with small town charm. From what I understand, some of the movie "Sweet Home Alabama" starring Reese Witherspoon, Josh Lucas and Patrick Dempsey was shot in this picturesque hamlet. I enjoy my time in this small town place. If you find yourself in the area, stop by. Maybe try some fishing to see if Eufaula, Alabama lives up to its claim of the "Big Bass Capitol of the World."
