It uses Scottish-style pot stills and German malts. They utilize a facility called Bunker City at Hainhaus (a former NATO ammunition depot) where much of their whisky maturation is housed. Makes for a very nice and unique visit, as well as the opportunity to purchase some of their unique German single-malt whisky.

Great Whisky, very nice People and they give you a two hours tour including a tasting for only 10 bucks. It was a real nice experience and if you like Whisky you will be astonished what the Germans have started out here. The distillery is located only 45 minutes south west of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main airport. Easy to reach by car. A must see if you are around the Frankfurt area.
