My wife and I stopped here for some wine tasting on a sunny afternoon. We found parking along the main street near the shop and buzzed ourselves in. The man inside sat us down at the table right in the entrance and asked what sorts of Reislings we would like. We said mainly semi-sweet to sweeter flavors, and so the then created a flight of 5 different samples, including a couple of grand crus. He showed us pictures and locations of the vineyards where the grapes for each bottle were grown, and walked us through the various characteristics that one gets from each of the different wines based on the elements in the terroir.
Each of our flights was 10 Euro, and we also took a bottle with us to go. If you like Reislings, this is a great place to come taste a large variety of options for a reasonable price. It was a little warm in the tasting room, and got a little awkward at times, but all in all it was fun and we enjoyed the experience. read more
