My wife and I stopped in today to Gregory Ryan's office to change over our address since we…read morerecently moved to Buffalo. While we were waiting, there were 2 other customers ahead of us. There was one waiting, and the other was being helped. The man at the desk had trouble understanding what the woman was saying (Joyce I think her name was). When he understood what she had said, and left the office, the next customer went to her desk and made racist comments about him "going back where he came from." He repeated himself clarifying that he "should go back to wherever he came from and never come back." I was shocked to see the woman nod. I thought perhaps that she wanted to simply acknowledge that she had heard him, and wanted to move on. However, after they finished their business, they struck up a 10 minute personal conversation while my wife and I waited. The woman's nodding now seems to be an agreement to his racism. Combined with making customer's wait while they chatted about personal friend issues, is beyond unprofessional and rude. We have been customers of State Farm for almost 20 years, and I will say I will NEVER do business with someone who employs such ignorant people. My wife and I will do business with a different agent!

We notified them when we moved several months ago, gave them new address, phone, etc. But just now got a new policy for this up coming year with OLD info!! The address we no longer live at, the phone is disconnected, and I HAD NOTIFIED Paul Jr ofour new information several MONTHS AGO. This is unprofessional and incompetent. Any future correspondence would have gone to wrong address, etc. Called Erie Insurance main agency to let them know, switching local agents ASAP.

I'm a new customer and I'm leaving because I had a special situation which I explained in detail in…read moreadvance and he said he could help me. Instead he lead me on a three month nightmare. If your child no longer lives with you, you cannot insure one of your cars in their name without transferring ownership first. This was difficult for me because the car was wrecked and restored and NY state requires a salvage inspection and new title in order to transfer ownership. The process takes a couple months and this agency either didn't know or said whatever they needed to say to get my money, knowing I would be stuck with them until it got straightened-out. Either way they failed miserably. When Travelers underwriting dep't rejected my daughter's new policy my agent put her on my policy with NY Central and said problem solved. They rejected it too and cancelled my entire policy. Until I got an unexpected refund check in the mail I did not know I had no insurance on ANY of my vehicles for three weeks. For this alone New York Central and Nickel City Insurance gets a failing grade. They are fully aware how anal NY state is about car insurance yet they don't seem to understand NY insurance law. I was an innocent victim of that who got put through the wringer. They made no apology, just excuses, blaming the state when they were at fault, nor did they offer in any small way to make it up to me which is what prompted this review. I waited a few months to calm down and write this as objectively as I can. If you have a straightforward situation they're probably ok, but for us it couldn't have gone worse.
