I ordered a sub tray to bring to work and they refused to wrap each sub individually. They said that if they wrapped them individually then they would have to charge me for each sub separately. I work at the hospital and we have to have pre-wrapped food because of COVID. you would think that a business who is profiting during the pandemic could afford the few cents worth of Saran Wrap and help out the healthcare workers. When I told the head chef that I thought it was awful that they weren't supporting the healthcare workers, his response was "we support the community in other ways". He also said that he had to follow company policy, like you aren't allowed to make an exception. Actually, during the pandemic they should be offering this for all sub trays. One of the greatest things about Rochester is Wegman's. Everyone knows it's awesome. I think it has one of the best bakeries I've been to (seriously...try the Rosemary, Olive Oil, and Sea Salt Bread), and the selection at every Wegman's are seriously awesome. Service is pretty great, and the prices are very very decent--and things are better quality than most of the other chain grocery stores that I've been to. Great prepared food section too! The ONLY complaint I have is that sometimes the checkers are not very careful in where they place items in grocery bags...but we're just splitting hairs here. LOVE WEGMAN'S! read more

Convenient when I went to RIT. 24-hrs, which was nice. However, if you want a good selection of fresh goods, go during the day. If you go at night a lot of the good veggies and fruits are sometimes taken and what is left are not quite as good. read more

Robert Wegman was a brilliant marketeer and renowned for his many acts of true charity for which he never sought publicity. He helped a lot of people who truely needed it. His son, daughter-in-law and daughter carry on his marketing strategies and employee relations/training legacy. Admittedly, I am irreversibly prejuidiced toward Wegmans, but I could live in their stores. Everything is so thoughtfully, intelligently and creatively strategized, and yet it's never precious or over-the-top. I shop there a LOT, and I almost always notice something interesting about the way they market their business on each visit. I like dealing with the people who work there - if I want the ham reeeeeaalllly thin-sliced but not shaved, with a new sheet of paper every few slices, that's how I get it - no heavy sighs, no making the slices thicker than I want. Everyone is just easy to deal with and they act like what the customer wants is what makes the store run. That's not a common trait for a large organization and says a lot about the training people receive. It's a telling commentary that if I moved from the area, Wegmans will be the thing that I truely miss - not the fabulous spring, summer and fall weather, not the coziness of being inside by a fireplace on a January night, not Highland Park, not the great cost of living. One of the best grocery stores I've ever been to in my life.

Robert Wegman must have been a perfectionist. Although a chain relatively local to upstate NY this store is a world class establishment. It is clean well put together, has good prepared food, a great cheese section, the best produce, a fantastic bakery, overall a fantastic selection of nearly every indulgent you might crave or think of. They have managed to create a pleasant experience for the customer and listen to this: last time I was there I picked up some meat and vegetables and asked one of the cooks if he could put something together for me. in about 10 minutes I was having one of the best meals I ever had in my entire life. Prices are reasonable particularly if you know how to shop. Do go for lunch or dinner if you are in the Rochester area, really, this is one of Rochester's must see establishments. read more

I attended RIT when the Wegman's near Marketplace Mall originally opened. Since then, no other supermarket compares. After graduation, a stop at Wegman's was required whenever I was back in the Rochester area. In the past few years, at least 4 Wegman's have opened up within reasonable driving distance. They are always busy because of the quality and variety of items they can provide. So many other supermarkets have tried to compete - World Class ShopRite and Super Stop and Shop. However, they really don't meet the standard. Prices can be a little bit higher on particular products, but the quality and service really can't be beat. read more

A little pricey and this store i guess isn't as big as the others, so they are really missing alot of produce and herbs. For example, last week i went in there looking for zuchinni, they no longer had zuchinni. A month before that, I was looking for a certain cut of meat, they no longer had that either. I find everytime i go in there to get something, they don't have it. I don't have that problem with the penfield wegman's though. I also attempted to order my son's birthday cake the day before. I know i shouldn't have waited that long to order it, but i thought for sure wegman's would do it for me. When we are in Rochester, we ALWAYS go to Wegmans at least once to grab some takeout food and to pick up our snacks and supplies. There is such a wide variety of items at the food bar--lots of vegetarian selections, different ethnic foods, soups . . . and you can create any flavor combination that you please! You can find a lot of quality items in every aisle as well. It's like they care about what they are selling to you. Anyway, that's the feeling that I get. read more

I must drive a long way from Bradford PA to find quality, service, class, style. creativity. My favorite stores are @Hamburg McKinley and Rochester Hylan Dr. Still. I am waiting for a new Wegmans store in Olean, next to the #17-St Bonaventure Exit.... since with age and less income I will not be able to afford the 90 minutes to the 2 hours drive. Great Wegmans, great customer service. Their store is very clean and organized, and the aisles are large and easy to move through. However, some things are not in the most logical places-- for instance, bread crumbs are by the pasta sauce instead of in the baking aisle. The employees are very knowledgable and seem to know where everything is located, though! read more

This may not be the biggest and most updated location but it is my favorite one. Many of the local college students work here or shop here so I am always running into a friend or two here. This is a bonus when they are working the sample booths :) Everyone is so friendly and helpful, which is why I love Wegmans! read more

Simply the best supermarket I have been to. The customer service is great, the fruits and vegetables are fresh, they have a huge selection of cheeses and meats that they can cut fresh for you there, as well as some pretty good prepared food at the front and a good beer selection. I called the catering department and pre ordered a platter of wraps with all the condiments for the tailgating at Rochester. I didn't have to pre pay before I arrived for pick up. Sure enough Michael had the order ready when I arrived from MD. 5 star service and will be visiting Wegmans marketplace the next time I need a platter. read more

Great prepared food section. Hot and cold items. As I was from out of town, great for picking up items for lunch. Everyone liked it. Also, has a full service supermarket for whatever you wish. Good produce items. This being the rules, there is an excellent wine shop right next door. Good prices and a large selection. Went back a few times on our trip to get what we needed. Had everything we wished. If we lived in the area, this would be a great addition and a place we would shop at often. read more

I'm kinda pissed off . First of all be very careful buying turkey from this store. In the past week I have bought and returned 2 turkeys because they were spoiled. When I say "spoiled" I mean to the point where the people gagged when I returned them. I bought one then two days later had to return it then got another one and the very next day realize this one is bad also. The expiration date on both was well over a week away. At this point I am mad since that was my second turkey. I take it back and speak with two managers who were very nice but they wanted to exchange it for another turkey breast and I refuse to try again from the same batch of turkey breast so I said "no, I'll get the whole turkey" and that was 3 dollars more than the turkey breast. Now after having to drive to wegmans three times for the same issue of a spoiled turkey do you think they would at the very minimum not charge me the 3 extra dollars? Oh yes they did. Not only did I have to waste gas going there over and over and also ruin my dinner plans but then I had to pay the extra 3 dollars for the third turkey. That is nothing but change however it's the principle. I didn't even say anything because I shouldn't have to remind them what good customer service is. So I left , came home and finally with a good turkey put it in the oven. I wouldn't have even made this review had it not been for them having the audacity to charge me 3 dollars for my third turkey I had to get because of their mistake. God knows how many other people bought bad turkeys and they froze them as soon as they got home not realizing it's bad. Personally, I expect more from wegmans. Very disappointed. read more

I love wegmans. I was slightly disappointed that many of the employees I saw were not saying excuse me and in some cases not watching where they were pushing their cart. It was really busy. I hate shopping anywhere as it is but that could've helped a little. I will always be wegmans loyal. 5 stars when the employees start to show they are happy to help and I will add that our cashier was nice and personable. read more

All hail the mighty grocery stores to end all grocery stores! I mean this with all my heart. This store is the bees-knees. You can spend a lot of time here getting all your essentials and then more! It is a grocery megastore that even sells toiletries and other miscellaneous holiday products. This place is a must visit and then you will know why people rave about it. When I ck'd out of Wegmans a short while ago, I asked the cashier if the bag behind her was mine (part of my order) She said "no". I went strait home and unloaded my groceries and sure enough I had missing items, notably the ice cream my husband had asked for. I immediately called and told the front desk what had happened. I told her who the cashier was. they said bring in the receipt and they'd check. I asked if my bag (with the items iI was missing) was still up front with the cashiers. I didn't want to have to reshop. They had my bag and took my name and said to pick it up at the front end. Couldn't find a front end manager and went to the office to have them paged. Anyway, i finally got my groceries. I asked for some compensation for my inconvenience, but was told "no". What would have cost them to throw in another carton of ice cream or something. I was very disappointed and should have demanded that they deliver the groceries they were responcible for not putting in my cart. read more

I shop your store every week.This week the soda was 3 for11.I only needed 1 12 pack.When I looked at my receipt it said 4,69.When I went back to question the amount I was told I had to buy 3.No where on the sign did I see Ihad to buy 3.Now granted I did not go and lay on the floor to read the sign but next week I will make sure I have on dirty clothes so that I can lay on your dirty floor so I can read your sign up close.I always bought my soda there and there was never a must buy any such amount.I have a Giant 2 miles away and I pass a Weis on my way to your store ,so maybe I will start spending my money somewhere else.I would appreciate a response but that probably will never happen. read more

Wegmans Henrietta treated me rudely only one time after 20 years of steady patronage and I don't shop there anymore. This was when I had forgotten my wallet and thus the shoppers club card and credit cards in it. However, I had a checkbook and my workplace photo ID with me. This was rudely refused despite my information being on file in the store. read more
