I managed to pick up a box of Weetabix this week from Amazon as a reminder from the times I had it when I lived in Reading. It's definitely a unique breakfast cereal.
Take a bunch of very dry crushed wheat and then shape it into an oval. About four inches across, two inches wide and about an inch deep. It's probably about the size of your cell phone. Now take a dozen of them, stack them, wrap them in wax paper and do that again. Stuff these two tubes of dry biscuits into a box. Bingo, you've got Weetabix.
You're not eating these dry, trust me. One at a time, put them into a bowl and pour milk onto it. Crunch them a bit, then dig in. Some folks add a sprinkling of sugar. I don't. It's straight or nothing for me.
You *could* put two in a bowl and eat them together. Not recommended as they go mushy very quickly.
It's an acquired taste and I have done it no justice in describing it above. You'll just have to try them for yourself. read more
