This is NOT the same Acme Fence from when used in the past. Troy, the main scheduling contact, was…read moreless than honest or forthcoming from the very beginning. What was supposed to be a 1 week project turned into 3 weeks by the time it was finished. The finished product is pretty decent quality, although the double gate isn't quite right. The only reason they got 3 stars is because my wife wanted that high, but I personally lean towards 2 stars. I would never recommend this company strictly because of being strung along through the process. As for value, I could have probably gotten the same price elsewhere, but erroneously just went with these guys based on previous experience. But, like I said, it's not remotely the same company. I found out after they started that the business was sold by the previous owner and the new owner is running it into the ground for profit.

I hired Skymac 2 months ago to do concrete steps. Worst project ever…read more It took them over a month to finish just the steps. Created huge mess, damaged my window and storm doors. Completely no respect to other things. Splashed side of the house. Crappy concrete job, landing looks horrible, 2 steps are not correct size, all steps slopping down. Its bad to walk on them. Never attend to build new handrailing, after they tool old once down. People didn't know what to do, where he found, who knows. He paid them hourly, luck of knowledge and experience. I had to hire another company to correct few things, but steps are still bad and nothing can be done except to redo them. Owner Bill dear to claim how great job he did! Oh boy so far from the truth. Have pictures to prove it. I don't recommend them at all for nothing.

The installers were well mannered and worked fast but thorough to get my job complete in a timely manner so that my dogs had a place to run free. They cleaned up any mess they made as well as went the extra mile to wipe everything down as it did rain the week I was installed so it did get quite muddy. A week goes by, no hearing back. I called on July 22 and the lady said "oh yeah, Ron stopped by your properties and he thinks it is a waste of money to do the coat of sealant". What? do I deserve to know???? what about the other property? Had I not called again after 2 weeks, would they have called? It was very unprofessional without the courtesy to call me and give me insight about what is needed, or to say we cant do this service or anything. I asked if he could call me so I learn what is needed. some days pass by and no call till finally I received a call from Ron who made things too much worse by saying on the phone "I called you but you did not pick up", which was very unprofessional and childish since people leave voice messages. I am not a guy who has full mailbox or a vm that is not setup yet; and it was very low because he lied as he never called me....well, unless he called from a spam number. The quality of this company's work seems to be good from what I see in town, so my review here is about professionalism in communication (or lack thereof) and the honesty of words.
