This review is focused specifically on the day training program. Mimi attends DAY TRAINING 2x/week. What has she learned? To SIT and WAIT at the door when it's opened instead of charging through it (picture spilling soda on yourself, the leash slipping out of your hand, her running all the way to the street) - she usually even sits without me asking. To sit in the backseat of the car in her carseat. When I brought her to Procyon she wouldn't ride anywhere but my lap - even when I was driving (yea, I know - not safe). If I tried to use the carseat, she would cry the entire time and jump out of the chair. HEEL - her heel when we walk is much improved - she used to pull like a sled dog! She's more comfortable around strangers from field trips they take. PLACE - critical for us when the doorbell rings. (We're still working on doorbell manners!) She's got a solid "high five!" too, which we use often with strangers because she prefers it to them petting her. It's been a great experience thus far, as have the boarding and daycare. I highly recommend Procyon. PS - Mimi is famous for her "resting sad face"!

I feared a complicated drainage diagnosis and possibly a very expensive repair. I had already worked myself into believing this might involve cameras, locating equipment, drainage plans, excavation, and who knows what else. Jeremy took one look at the situation and said, essentially, "Nope." The problem was simple, and so was the solution. He explained that the pop-up drain was doing what it was designed to do, but the excess water had found an easier path underground, which also explained a soft depression nearby (this was causing a lot of soil erosion on my neighbor's property). He then spent a great deal of time walking me through the remedy: where to dig, how deep and wide to make the area, how to use gravel and plants, and how to install deeper edging so the water would disperse properly instead of gushing toward my neighbor's property. I asked a lot of questions. Jeremy answered every one patiently, then went over the plan a second and third time because I wanted to make sure I understood. He physically mapped everything out so I could clearly understand what needed to be done. There was no attempt to sell me camera diagnostics, unnecessary cleaning, excavation, or an expensive drainage system. He charged only the $79 trip fee and nothing more. That kind of honesty is increasingly rare. Jeremy could have turned my anxiety into a padded invoice, but instead gave me a practical, inexpensive solution and made certain I understood it before he left. This is exactly the kind of company people hope they are calling. I felt so relieved that I was prompted to reciprocate his honesty by writing this review.

Jessie and her husband Tim are such nice people. We were nervous about leaving our dog Chewy for the first time but they were wonderful with him! They sent us daily pictures and updates on how he was doing and always responded quickly when we messaged them. Chewy had a great time and came home happy. We even paid for them to give him a bath and trim his nails while he was there and he came home looking and smelling great! I happened to see they were having a free cat spay and neuter for strays. So I took the stray cat I've been feeding in and they took good care of him. I chose additional services and ended up paying $52 altogether for neuter, injection to take care of a wound, felv test, dewormer and rabies shot. This was partnered with the Marion County Humane society. Not a bad price at all and my cat seems very happy. They do ear tip the strays which is a little controversial but it's actually for the best - it signals people that the cat is fixed and will not contribute to the overpopulation of cats (Florida has a real problem with this) You drop your pet off in the morning around 8 and get him or her back in the afternoon around 3. Due to the current virus situation the service was basically curbside. They came to your car for forms and to take money and return pets.
