Formal Complaint - Poor Service, Property Damage, and Unprofessional Conduct…read more This company and its staff were disorganized, damaging, delayed, dismissive, condescending, unaccountable, careless, and overall highly unprofessional. I strongly advise proceeding with caution. My move took place on March 13th and was poorly executed from start to finish. A job estimated at three hours took well over six hours due to inefficiency and lack of coordination. During the move, my property was mishandled, resulting in a broken mirror and damage to the walls. Communication throughout the process was minimal and disorganized, with no clear updates or accountability. I was also charged an unexpected $500 overtime fee. While this fee was eventually refunded, the circumstances raise serious concerns. I was informed that a full refund would not be considered because, in the company's history, they "do not do that," and that as long as the move was completed, the quality of service was irrelevant. While interactions with Shayne (Branch Manager) were frustrating at times, he did make efforts within his authority and indicated that approval was needed from Ben (Regional Manager) to process a full refund. It was implied this would be approved, and Shayne appeared confident in that direction. However, once escalated, communication became inconsistent. Ben was unavailable, and this was later referenced as a reason for delays. When I spoke with Brian (CMO), the response did not reflect a thorough review. Instead, assumptions were made, the tone was patronizing, and there was no meaningful effort to resolve the concerns. At no point was there accountability, de-escalation, or empathy. This experience raises serious concerns regarding service quality, communication, and leadership accountability. Proceed with extreme caution.

BUYER BEWARE. I wish I would have read the reviews before attempting to start a relationship with…read moreWayne Homes. Honestly, don't do it - you will be sorely disappointed. In the first week of October, we made the decision to build a Wayne Home; we visited the Hebron Center and locked in on the Brentwood. We gave them $1000 to lock in our prices. On November 6, 2018, we provided our financing pre-approval for our home; we had added almost $100K in upgrades. December we had a lot walk through with one of their construction managers (Ryan); and then in late December we had another walk through with a construction manager (Tina) and also interacted with Monica, yet another construction point of contact. Since October 16, 2018, they were ALL aware we were building on a lot, and the township classified the new home as an addition because we had another home on the lot which we wanted to connect with a breezeway. EVERYONE was aware as of October of this plan. The Zoning permit was obtained, costing us $350 and the township classified the permit as an addition. January 7, 2019, we had yet another lot walk through, and our final color section. We spent a total of at least 10 hours with Wayne Homes representatives. While we wanted Wayne to build the breezeway, we abandoned that due to the challenges and their refusal. But, we agreed we would do that ourselves after the home was built. We finalized our new contract on January 22, 2019 - so much delay due to the breezeway back and forth. On January 23, 2019, we were told that they would not build our home because of the zoning permit indicating it was an 'addition'. We reached out to the township and they sent a letter indicating that it would not delay zoning approval; and Wayne Homes rejected that approach. We offered to get a new zoning permit for a New Build, which the township said they would do, and Wayne Homes again indicated NO. So, after 3.5 months, and at least 7 meetings - some requiring days off work, they are not going to build our house. We lost all of that time and could have gone to a reputable builder. Be advised that this could happen to you - as it did other individuals who have left comments on BBB. Go somewhere else and save yourself some frustration, anger, and angst. Wayne Homes is not your dream home. #waynehomes

I would encourage everyone who goes through the long 4-6 hour final design meeting to take detailed…read morenotes & photos on not only the finish of your selections, but also the actual item #'s & details / names of everything you have chosen. In building with them, there have been a lot of questions, where I ask - well, what did I pick in our final meeting? & they can't tell me. So there's some redundancy if you don't take the time to advocate for yourself, not to mention being sure you aren't charged for things they get wrong.
