FINALLY yesterday I was over here early enough meeting friends for lunch that I was able to sneak in for 30 minutes. There are lots of beautiful things in here --- they have some seriously well-preserved classical pieces from France and Europe from around 1900 for $300-400 like mirrored tables, reupholstered chairs, chandeliers and such... I spoke to the lady inside for a while and she was very friendly and efficient. We talked about some nice dining room chairs I liked that were from France that had been redone (only the upholstery) and were about $2450 for the set of 6. Chandeliers ranged from $1500-5000 depending on the size and there were large statement pieces as well as small things like punch bowls and cups. If you love to antique this is a great stop - with high-end items. Worth a look.

They have some indoor decor stuff: mercury glass and florals and planters but a lot of the stuff is outdoor planter pots and aged metal decor items. In the back there is a beautiful garden and an event space for photos or parties or weddings. We talked to the owner for a while who was very friendly and said they he had redone the event space in the back and set it up for parties and such. It is a nice place tucked away in the corner of a small strip shopping center. Each time I have gone in I have been greeted by staff. Including this Sunday. I tend to walk around shops such as this one in a clockwise manner. That way I help avoid missing any treasures. Plus my friend Loretta has one of the first spaces in that direction. I like to take my time and admire all of the nice items. This shop carries a lot of vintage and antique items. It brings back such sweet memories. I saw many things I wanted but I have to keep in mind the want VA needs. After I took my first gander I went back to Loretta's Niche and picked out a ceramic piece that has 5 tubes and the word F A I T H written on each. Perfect to propogate some clippings. I also found a nice low profile ring at another space, and picked a nice chilled soda out of the refrigerator with items for sale. They have fresh coffee in a little room, with books etc for sale, if anyone wants a nice hot cup and they have bagged snacks for sale. An added bonus. The young lady who was working has been very pleasant each time I have visited recently. She also carefully wrapped my ceramic piece up nicely. There is honestly something for everyone in VA VINTAGE.

So I asked the bartender if we can order something else theses drinks were awful. She brought us a check for $36.00 and said drinks are final sale... ummmmm it's so much wrong with that . There's over 200 vendors and booths that sell gifts snacks, knickknacks, clothing, antiques, and more. If you need to kill a few hours and look at a lot of different stuff this is the place to go. If you wanna find a good gift for somebody they do have certain boost that might fit that criteria. I spent over 2 1/half hours just browsing and looking at the booths. It can be a lot though. I know these kind of stores are popping up everywhere. They had a lot of friendly workers that help answer any questions or let you know they had a fitting rooms. You kinda have to know your prices before coming in here because a lot of prices are pretty high. It is open every day from 10 am to 8pm. I believe they haven't added any apparel vendors just yet, but that is coming soon. If you'd like to sell stuff here it could be a great place to do it but with so many vendors, you really have to have a good spot in the store and know your clientele. This would not be an every day or once a week kind of store for me. I would visit the store once in a blue moon. Neat shop worth checking out.
