Called to see if they had any availability on a Saturday night, and they were quick to let us get a room. Didn't have to wait long once we got there. Service was great, workers were really friendly. We got a small room which was perfect for our party of 5 people. Only downside is it's on the second floor so walking down for a smoke break tipsy can be a bit of a challenge LOL. Bathrooms were down the hall separate from the karaoke place. And you need a code to get in which is nice. Prices were a bit high but what do you expect on a Saturday night in town! We were interrupted multiple times by random guest opening our door throughout the experience despite being put in the very last room. I had been to 808wave before and tried to book intentionally in order to get a nice room for a birthday celebration however the room did not have a camera like the other ones and the variety of light settings created a rather sad ambiance. Upon reaching out time, we got no heads up, just someone coming in and yelling "time" a few times and walking away. We assumed this meant wrap up, so we sang one last song where we were then yelled at again. At the front desk we were then overcharged, he said it would be $111, for a medium room that we stayed an hour in. Initially, I wasn't paying attention and agreed but quickly realized that was wrong, I looked at the price sheet and the price for a medium room on the weekend was $65 and increases to $75 at 9pm. My reservation was at 8:30, so I booked thinking it would be $65 as that was the price given to me on the phone. Instead, when I corrected him asking "why is it $111, when I was told $65 and it says that here". He says " you stayed overtime", for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes. We did not get into our room until 8:40, and we were kicked out by 9:40. Even with a 15 minute add on, it was not $111. He quickly changed the price after being called out and it went down to $82. I found this very shady and very unprofessional. I was explained to that only 30 minutes of my experience was charged at the $65 room rate while the other was at the $75 dollar rate due to it going past 9pm. I think this is something to be indicated prior. Overall, being lied to and mislead made our experience much less enjoyable read more

Nice karaoke spot. Plenty of rooms to choose from depending on your party size. The rooms each have their own theme, and overall a fun aesthetic and clean. Although it's not BYOB, I'm glad you can bring your own food. They have a decent alcohol selection, but their cocktails were pretty subpar. Also it's just a personal preference, but I wish they served their cocktails in glass cups rather than plastic diner style cups. When it comes to the music, they give you an iPad to add songs to your playlist. You could even download the app and create your playlist from your phone. They have a pretty good selection, but if you can't find songs you want, they have YouTube synced to the iPad. Overall I had a good experience with friends. I think the place is worth the price. PS, street parking is pretty hard to find. We ended up parking at Walmart and walked across the street. Super convenient and so far none of us got towed. read more

My friends and I were looking to plan a karaoke birthday party & had heard of Wave808 from a friend. From the photos & website, everything looked great! I was excited to visit a new karaoke place. However, after visiting I had a mixed experience. Pros: - They let us drop off our birthday cake earlier in the day to hold for our reservation later. - Room was clean and spacious for our party of 5. - The karaoke machine was easy to use. I had been to other places where it was very difficult to operate the karaoke machine so it was nice that this one was user friendly. I liked that we could put in songs from Youtube as well. - Staff let us decorate the interior of the room. - Variety of drinks were good & priced fairly. Cons: - They don't serve any water on the house. Your only option is to purchase bottled water. I understand not being able to bring in your own water bottles due to people trying to sneak in drinks, but I find this to be a pretty big con due to the fact that water is very important when drinking alcohol. So to serve alcohol & not offer water on the house (especially when Hawaii has drinkable tap water) didn't sit very well with me. - The table in the room is small & no trash can in the room is provided. I like to keep things clean so I can't imagine having to pile up trash & drinks on the table (we luckily had our own trash bag from our decorations). - The sound system was quite weak for the music. Our mics worked great, but even with the music volume at max it was still on the quieter side. - Bathrooms are a little far away. - I was not aware that paying with cash is cheaper than paying with card. Had that been stated when we made the reservation, my party would've prepared cash. Unfortunately due to their water policy, I just don't see myself returning or recommending this place to others. The other cons I could've overlooked but I just think it's not safe to be serving alcohol & making patrons pay for water. read more

I love this place! Went here for the first time today during my vacation and I instantly fell in love with this place since I'm a sucker for a good karaoke session. The service was amazing and the people there are really friendly. The rooms are really clean, the equipment look brand new, and the song list was pretty updated. Extremely Inconsistent. I've been here a few times and every time they mention something different regarding their BYOB rule. We've brought a bottle of liquor before, paid their corckage fee, and had zero issues. Other times, they've confiscated our bottle with no reason even after paying their corckage fee, and other times we were denied entirely for beinging liquor in. It's really hard to plan and extremely unprofessional on the establishment's part. Caling ahead and confirming does you no use at all. If you're planning to BYOB, look for another place. It's not worth all the planning and bringing your own items, only to be POSSIBLY granted acces at the door. Results vary each visit and it's better to look for another place that is much more consistent if you plan to bring your own bottle. read more

Honestly the healsonic karaoke system is great. Plus the fact that you can also look up songs off YouTube in the event you can't find the song you want or need to sing. The room prices per hour is a bit expensive and parking can be a little frustrating/confusing. However, if you're looking for a quality karaoke place, I definitely recommend trying this place out. I also recommend maybe just parking where Walmart and taking a short walk rather than the direct parking lot where Wave808 is. Which is on the 2nd floor by the way. Key Notes: - Drinks are not refillable, it is a charge per drink (i.e. if you finish a Pepsi, you pay another $3 for another cup of Pepsi) - The small room for 6 people is actually pretty decently sized, so you don't have to worry about giving space, you'll have room to fit everyone, plus two seats you can move around. tldr; Pricey but it is a quality place. Favorite new Karaoke spot for sure! This is me and my friend groups new go-to spot. They have really nice updated rooms, comfortable with good AC which is nice. This place is unique to other spots because they are also open during the day and do happy hour. They have a couple huge rooms that you can have a full on party in. All of their rooms you can connect your phone and you YouTube as well so you aren't limited to choices at all and can find pretty much any song you want. We were a party of 22 people and had the largest party room after first trying the large room but that was just too crowded. The extra large room was perfect, but cost way more we were preparing to spend for three hours. It was just too expensive, so removing a star for price. I didn't buy any drinks so can't comment on that. They had a really good selection of popular American songs, old and new-ish that kept us busy. It was nice and clean and the host was very kind and accommodating. Parking can be a little tough so we parked in the Walmart parking lot across the street. We just went for the first time last night! The workers were all super nice. The room (we got a small one since it was only 3 of us) had a gorgeous mural on the wall and was just perfect. The couch was comfy, and it was awesome we had a temp control on the wall along with the light control. They guys are super attentive if you need their help, and they even have water if you need it! As for the karaoke part, it took us a minute to figure out the system but once we did it was great. You can search for songs in advance and add it to a Playlist along with whoevers name is going to sing it. There's a lot of control over the songs too, we didn't have to suffer through all the parts of a song we didn't know well once the fun part stopped since we had a button to stop the song and move on. Overall really fun, and we'll definitely be back! read more

The rooms are nice and clean and the karoake system is the best I have seen so far. You use tablet to pick your songs, if you can find it in their listing you can go to youtube and look up a song and it will play it and the words from youtube. We had a lot of fun. Everything about this place was great!! The booth was perfect sized for 4 of use to fit comfortably with some space too. It's byob and byof but they still have some small snacks and drinks if you'd like some. The service was also very quick and friendly. The only thing holding this back is the area that it's in, and that this should be open for much later.
