Update: I requested a call back on 9/25 to discuss the situation below. I did not receive a call…read moreback. I called again on 10/2/24 and asked for the office manager. I was told Sam was the office manager and he was on lunch. I left a message and as of 3:30pm on 10/3/24 I have not received a call back. I came to this office to specifically see Dr. Taylor. I had a great first visit. He took care of my issue right away. I have been trying to get another appointment for my follow up and this process has been horrible. I had an appointment on 9/11/24 and showed up 10 minutes before my appointment time. I was notified that they had not received my authorization from my doctor and I could not be seen. I received 4 text confirming the appointment but no one let me know they didn't have authorization. I called my doctor while standing at the front desk and my doctor stated they never received a request from LoCicero. The man at the front desk (Sam?) said it was sent. I asked what fax was it sent to, he didn't see a fax number (so how could it have been sent?). I gave him the fax number and rescheduled for today 9/25/24. I called last week, they didn't have the authorization. Again they said it was sent over. I called my doctor, they hadn't received it. My doc said they would call LoCicero. Yesterday I called LoCicero to see if they had the authorization. They did not, I was asked for the fax number again, which I gave. Today I called before driving to the appt and guess what!!!! They still DONT have the authorization. I was told they faxed the request yesterday. BUT again I was asked for the fax number. How did you fax the request yesterday if you don't have the fax number??? It should NOT be this difficult to schedule an appointment, receive authorization and be seen. Today i was on hold for nearly 40 minutes and got disconnected. I called back and was on hold again. I have been on the phone over an hour this morning. I requested that the office manager call me bc this is not the way I expect patients to be treated. I will update, when I have more information.

I can't recall exactly what my in-laws' relation is with Dr. Perez -- I think my fiance's mother…read moreused to work for him -- but let's put all that aside for a moment because it's really irrelevant. I'm terrified of doctors. It's a totally irrational thing, but I hate going to see doctors because I'm afraid they're going to ask me if I exercise regularly & eat healthy & all that jazz, & if I say no (because I don't) they're going to tell me what a horrible person I am. My paranoia is so bad that if the doctor isn't friendly, I get the compulsion to lie & say I do everything right; & even if the doctor IS friendly, I usually get so stressed out that I start crying while I'm there -- for something as basic as a routine exam! This isn't helped by the fact that one doctor I had told me that my sudden onset of knee pain was because I was overweight (by all of 10 pounds...) & there was nothing I could do to relieve the pain other than lose weight, so I should come back & see her again in 6 months. THANKS, BITCH. But I digress. Dr. Perez puts me totally at ease. He talks to me like a friend, & it helps, of course, that he's known my fiance since he was little & he knows my in-laws & asks after them. I've never had a family doctor like this, & after seeing Dr. Perez I deeply regret that. He chats about all sorts of stuff with me while doing the exams (I've seen him for abdominal pain, shoulder injury, common cold, knee pain... bunch of stuff) -- school, work, travel, hobbies -- anything to put me at ease. He's gentle as can be in the physical examinations & when he prescribes me medicine he'll tell me if he knows a pharmacy that carries my rx cheaper than the rest. His staff are great -- Melissa, one of his nurses, is the most adept blood-drawer I've ever met, including Red Cross blood drive attendees. I feel NOTHING when she does it. Seriously, I don't ever want to see another doctor again other than Dr. Perez because I just feel so comfortable & so free to explain my problem & not feel afraid that I'm going to get scolded.

Return all filled by 2:20, by 250 i asked when was i getting call back, bc people who arrived after me and had later appt (checking book) were taken back. I was told i was next. 315 got up and cancel appt. Btw i made this appt to see the dr and upon cancellation i was told they had me with a Nurse Practioner I did requested a doctor.
