        Meet the Manager: Günther F.

        Der gelernte Koch und Pädagoge mit dem bunten Lebenslauf hat so manch kochtechnisch spannende Reise hinter sich. Er kochte u.a. im Restaurant Batzenhäusl in der Wiener Innenstadt, in der Nikys Kuchlmasterei, im Hotel Steffisalp am Arlberg und im Hotel Holiday Inn in Wien. Nach seiner Selbstständigkeit mit einem Catering Unternehmen ging es weiter ins Hotel Walserberg am Arlberg und danach auf hohe See mit Costa Cruises Lines. Schließlich bekochte Günther Fuchs die deutsche Industriellenfamilie Rolf und Gunter Sachs und deren internationale Gäste wie Thomas Gottschalk, Prinz Ernst August von Hannover, Prinzessin Caroline von Monaco, Fürst Albert und andere Prominente aus aller Welt. Seit 2007 ist er u.a. in Wien als Kochlehrer an der HLTW 13 tätig und gibt sein internationales und breites Kochwissen an die zukünftige Kochgeneration weiter.

For dessert, you've got to hit Mundo's Classic Warm Apple Strudel. Shabang! ...what a finish.

I tried their mega futo maki roll, which is the kitchen sink of sushi rolls. Packed inside the rice and seaweed were tuna, salmon, shrimp, cucumber, and avocado. To top it off, there was a sweet mango dipping sauce for the rolls. Tasty, but so big that fitting it into my mouth became an engineering wonder! They make their own ginger iced tea, which was excellent and sweetened with honey. Just make sure to mix it to get the honey off the bottom of the glass. The service was decent and pretty standard for Vienna.
