I'm…read moreself-employed with a pretty simple business tax return but I wanted an accountant to do it just to be sure. My old tax prep person was no longer available and I didn't know who to go to. I picked Long simply because they were near my house. I took them all the paperwork they needed the 1st week of February and gave them a three weeks to get it done. I called to check three weeks later - and the receptionist said nothing had been done yet. OK I thought - I'm a new customer and it's their busy season - so I decided to be patient. I called the next week - week 4. Nothing had been done - in a month. The 5th week - she now said they "were working on it but nothing has been entered". WOW - progress! The 6th week - nothing has been entered. 7th week - Nothing has been entered. See a pattern here?? By the 8th WEEK - I had finally had enough - especially after I was forced to file an extension with the Healthcare Marketplace because I needed this tax return to show them for my insurance discount. When I went to go get my paperwork back from them to take somewhere else, I heard the receptionist making the same excuses to someone else on the phone. I seriously wonder if the CPA was ever even in the office?? In other words this was a TERRIBLE experience. I absolutely would not recommend Long and Co. to anyone - except maybe Joe Biden.
